Cases that often occur after the distinction in the recovery room one of them is hypothermy. One of the causes of postoperative hypothermy is the type of anaesthetic used. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship of anaesthetic type to the incidence of hypothermic. Research design uses correlational with cross sectional approaches. The population of all postoperative patients in the Recovery Room of Banyumas Hospital over the past 3 months as many as 500 patients. A large sample of 83 patients using consecutive sampling techniques. The research instrument used is an observation sheet to record the type of anaesthetic and body temperature. Data analysis using the chi square test. Patients mostly respondents aged 36-46 years as many as 51 respondents (61.4%), men as many as 52 respondents (62.7%) and high school / vocational education as many as 39 respondents (47.0%). Respondents received general anaesthetics of 58 respondents (69.9%) and hypothermi as many as 60 respondents (72.3%). Statustic test results obtained a value of p = 0.000 which showed there was a relationship of anaesthetic type with the incidence of hypothermi in the Recovery Room of Banyumas Hospital. The type of anaesthetic used can determine the occurrence of changes in body temperature, namely hypothermy.  Keywords: anesthesia, hypothermia, recovery room

As age increases, various body deteriorioration will follow, one of them is cognitive function. The brain function of memory recall or remembering something is part of cognitive function. If this function weaken, daily activities will be disturbed and may have impacts on quality of life. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between cognitive function and quality of life in elderly. This was a cross-sectional design. Population was all elderly living in a private nursing home in Surabaya (N=150). Based on sample's selection criteria, there were 145 elderly participated as respondents. Instruments used were Mini Mental State Exam (MMSE) for measuring cognitive function, and Older People Quality of Life (OPQOL) for measuring quality of life in elderly. Most respondents had normal cognitive function, but their quality of life was mostly sufficient. Statistical analysis by Spearman's Rho correlation test showed that cognitive function was significantly correlated with quality of life in elderly (p=0.008). The aging process has impact on cognitive function deterioration which resulted in a decrease in elderly's quality of life.  Keywords: cognitive function, elderly, quality of life

Caesarean delivery or sectio ceaserea (SC) is a surgical process to give birth to a fetus through incisions in the abdominal and uterine walls. This action generally causes anxiety in mothers who will undergo childbirth. Objective: Knowing the effect of Javanese Langgam music on anxiety in pre-sectio caesarea patients. A pre-experimental design with one group pre and posttes without control group design. The study used 46 accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis with paired t test. 39 respondents (84,8%) were not in the category of risky ages, 21 respondents (45,7%) were secondary graduates, 21 respondents (76,1%) were housewives, and 27 respondents (58,7%) were primipara parity. The average patient’s anxiety was 19,04 with a standard deviation of 3,25 before Javanese Langgam style music and it was 11,83 with a standard deviation of 2,93 qfter the treatment. Based on the statistical test result, it obtained p-value 0.05, there is an effect of Javanese music style a ward the anxiety in patiens with pre section caesarea p-value 0.000. Conclusion: Javanese Langgam music effect on anxiety in pre-sectio caesarea patients in Banyumas Regional Hospital with p-value 0.000. Hand music can be a powerful mood regulator that can cause relaxation and reduce maternal anxiety pre CS.  Keywords: Javanese style, anxiety, pre sectio caesarea

An individual's ability or self-empowerment of the elderly in meeting needs, solving problems, utilizing existing resources for their lives. Self empowerment experienced by the elderly causes changes in the quality of life. The purpose of the study was to identify the relationship between self-empowerment and the quality of life of the elderly in RW 02, TKK sub-district/district, Surabaya City. This research uses cross sectional approach and correlational method. The independent variable is self-empowerment and the dependent variable is quality of life. The population in this study were all elderly who were in the RW 02 area, TKK sub-district/district, Surabaya as many as 34 elderly. Sampling used a total sampling technique, namely 34 respondents. The measuring instrument used is the WHOQOL questionnaire and the self-empowerment questionnaire. The results of the study were statistical tests using chi-square and showed that there was a significant relationship (p = 0,000) and was a strong relationship (r = 1,000) between self empowerment and the quality of life of the elderly in RW 02, TKK sub-district/district, Surabaya City. Problems that arise in the elderly include the inability to access health services, no old-age insurance and lack of social support. As a result of these problems, the elderly feel powerless and useless (lack of self-empowerment) in everyday life.                     Keywords: Self Empowerment, Quality of Life, Elderly

Patient safety procedures need to be done to prevent patient safety incidents. The purpose of the study is to explore the experience of room nurses applying patient safety procedures to elderly clients. Qualitative research design with phenomenological study approach. Participants are implementing nurses who have experience in caring for elderly patients as many as 6 nurses. Data collection was stopped when the data received were saturated through in-depth interviews. The method of analysis was the Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). This research has passed the ethical clearance. Based on the results of the analysis, there are seven themes that can be found, namely understanding patient safety, the concept of elderly, forms of patient safety, supporting factors, inhibiting factors, efforts to overcome obstacles and the benefits of bothering patient safety procedures. Nurses' understanding of patient safety is an action to prevent incidents from occurring due to an action taken on the patient. In carrying out patient safety procedures for the elderly, the nurse finds several supporting and inhibiting factors. Nurses and patients feel safe when patient safety procedures are performed properly. Patient safety is a procedure that is closely related to the actions taken by the nurse. The experience of nurses in applying safety procedures to elderly clients provides a sense of security when take an action.  Keywords: elderly, nurse, patient safety

Schizophrenia is brain damage that results in impaired cognitive function, activity, language, impaired vision of reality and interpersonal relationships and has behavioral changes such as agitated and aggressive behavior. In general, it is characterized by fundamental deviations, characteristics of thoughts and perceptions, as well as the presence of an unnatural or blunt effect. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to socialize in schizophrenic patients with social isolation nursing problems before and after being given socialization training and low impact aerobic exercise at the Mitra Sakti Social Welfare Institution, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The method in this study used nursing actions in the form of socialization exercises and low impact aerobic exercise on 5 patients schizophrenic with social isolation nursing problems reported in the form of case studies. The results showed that after being given nursing actions in the form of socialization exercises and low impact aerobic exercise, the five participants increased their social skills. Nurses are expected to provide optimal application of socialization training and aerobic exercise to schizophrenic patients with social isolation nursing problems. Patient safety is one of the efforts in improving the quality of service in the provision of nursing care. Patient safety in the surgical room is carried out using the Surgical Safety Checklist. The goal of this study was to identify the knowledge and motivation relationship of the surgical room team with surgical safety filling compliance with checklist in Central Surgical Installation RSUD  Banyumas. Analytical survey research method with cross sectional design with point time approach. The population of all the operating teams in the Central Surgical Installation room of Banyumas Hospital  is  45  people with a sample of doctors in charge of 15, anesthesiologists 3, instrument nurses 16, anaesthetization nurses as many as 11. Knowledge research instruments, motivation is a questionnaire and surgical safety checklist. Statistical tests used  spearman rank. The results of the study obtained by  the banyumas hospital operating room team had a sufficient level of knowledge as much as 46.7%, high motivation as much as 66.7%  and the majority obeyed in  filling surgical safety checklist as much as 73.3%. There is a knowledge level relationship with the compliance of the operating room team p value =0.039  while the motivation level with the compliance of the operating room team p  value =  0.032. Research shows that there is a relationship of motivation levels with the compliance of the operating room team at the Central Surgical Installation of Banyumas Hospital.  Keywords: knowledge, motivation, compliance, surgical safety checklist

Surgical Site Infection is infections that occur after surgery. Control of the incidence of nosocomial infection is part of the parameters of good health services at the hospital. One in 10 mothers who give birth by cesarean has an infection. The level of patient knowledge about how to care for wounds is an important factor in decreasing the incidence of wound infection in the surgical area in SC patients. Objective: knowing the relationship between levels of knowledge of post-operative SC patients about wound care and the incidence of surgical site wound infections. Method: The design used descriptive correlative and cross sectional approach. The sample were 76 respondents. The data were collected in December 2019 by using a knowledge level questionnaire and a form of signs of infection from Morison 2004. Data analysis using chi square).  The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and the incidence of infection in the area of ​​operation (p value 0.001).  Keywords: nosocomial, surgical site infection (SSI), section caesarea (SC)

Diabetes mellitus is one of cronical degenerative disease. The prevalence of sufferers continues to increase every year, one of the non-pharmacological therapies is exercise such as gymnastics prolanis DM and walking exercises to decrease the glucose level by the body muscles during the physical body. Objective this research is to find out the effectiveness of Prolanis and walking exercises in reducing blood sugar levels in DM patients type II. Method this study uses the Quasi experiment with pre and post with two group design. The study population was 92 DM patients type II with a sample of 82 people. Glucometer (Auto check blood glucose monitor) is used to collect the data. Wiloxon Test is used to analyze the statistical data. Results the research shows that the value of Prolanis Exercises (DM) is p=0.002 which means a significant influence on decrease of the sugar level of DM patients type II. Meanwhile the value of walking exercises is p=0.001. From the statistic test of WIlconxon Signed Rank Test, It obtained Z correlation = 7.886. It means that there is a significant correlation between Prolanis and walking exercises towards the decrease of blood sugar level of Diabetes Mellitus patients type II. Physical activities done regularly, measurably, and correctly are suggested to be considered as non-pharmacological therapies for Diabetes Mellitus patients type II to decrease blood sugar level. Surgery will have physical, economic and psychological impacts, one of them is anxiety.Anxiety in preoperative patients will have an impact on the process of surgery and the health status of the patient after surgery. Patient anxiety before surgery is influenced by several factors such as family support, personality and coping mechanisms. Objective: know the factors that influence to the anxiety level of preoperative patients. Method: Correlation description design with a cross-sectional. The preoperative patient population during the last 3 months of July-May 2019. Sampling technique was a purposive sampling as many as 46 respondents. The independent variable is personality type, coping mechanism and family support, while the dependent variable is preoperative anxiety. Measuring tool using HARS questionnaire. The data were analyzed with chi-square test. There were 29 respondents (63.0) who mostly had extrovert personality types. There were 34 adaptive respondents (73.9%) who had coping mechanisms. There were 27 respondents (58.7%) whogot high family support. There were 32 respondents (69.6%) who had no anxiety about having surgery. Chi square statistical test showed that there was an effect of personality type (p 0.027), coping mechanism (p 0.005) and family support (p 0.016) on the preoperative patient anxiety level. Personality type, family support has a strong influence on the level of preoperative crisis. Keywords: family support, anxiety, personality, coping mechanism
