Motivasi guru memainkan peranan yang penting sebagai persediaan menjadi guru sebelum melangkah ke dunia realiti sebagai seorang pendidik. Tiga aspek yang disentuh berkaitan motivasi guru pelatih iaitu intrinsik, altruistik dan ekstrinsik. Manakala persepsi guru pelatih dilihat menerusi perspektif pengalaman, pengetahuan dan pembelajaran sepanjang menjalani latihan mengajar. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti tahap motivasi guru pelatih dan persepsi guru pelatih terhadap latihan mengajar setelah menjalani latihan mengajar serta hubungan antara pembolehubah tersebut. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Seramai 80 orang pelajar terlibat sebagai responden merupakan pelajar Sarjana Muda di Fakulti Pendidikan Teknikal dan Vokasional (FPTV) yang mempunyai pengalaman dalam latihan mengajar. Instrumen kajian berbentuk soal selidik digunakan dalam mengumpul data. Data kajian dianalisa secara deskriptif dan inferensi menggunakan skor min, sisihan piawai dan korelasi Pearson. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan guru pelatih mempunyai tahap motivasi yang tinggi sewaktu menjalani Latihan Mengajar. Persepsi guru pelatih terhadap latihan mengajar pula menunjukkan nilai min yang tinggi. Terdapat hubungan yang positif yang kuat antara motivasi dengan persepsi guru pelatih setelah selesai menjalani latihan mengajar. Persepsi guru pelatih terhadap latihan mengajar sedikit sebanyak mempengaruhi tahap motivasi guru-guru tersebut. Kepentingan menjaga momentum motivasi adalah penting agar sesi latihan mengajar tersebut dapat berjalan lancar dan guru pelatih terus kekal positif untuk menjalani latihan mengajar.   Teacher motivation plays an important role as the preparation before entering the real world as educators. There are three aspects related to the motivation of trainee teachers, namely intrinsic, altruistic and extrinsic. While the perception of trainee teachers is seen through the perspective of experience, knowledge and learning throughout the teaching practice. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of motivation of trainee teachers and the perception of the trainee teachers towards teaching practice and also the relationship between both variables. This study was conducted through a quantitative approach. A total of 80 students involved as respondents are Bachelor students in the Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education (FPTV) who have experience in teaching practice. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires were used in collecting data. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using mean scores, standard deviations, and Pearson correlations. The analysis of the data shows that the trainee teachers have high motivation level throughout the teaching practice. The trainee teachers' perceptions towards teaching practice show a high mean score value. There is a strong positive relationship between motivation and the perception of trainee teachers after undergoing teaching practice. Trainee teachers' perceptions towards teaching practice to some extent affect the level of motivation of these teachers. The importance of maintaining motivational momentum is a crucial part in order to make sure the teaching practice runs smoothly, and trainee teachers always are positive towards the teaching practice.

This chapter presents the results of a study carried out at the Universities of Murcia and Santiago de Compostela in Spain regarding the perceptions of trainee primary education teachers about educational knowledge of history education. The decision was taken to employ a quantitative non-experimental design via a Likert-type questionnaire (values from 1 to 5). Significant data have been obtained making it possible to carry out a diagnosis of their professional competencies. The results show that the majority of trainee primary education teachers identify with a critical model of teacher, one who must use active teaching methods and promote ethical values related with social justice. However, this idea contrasts with an implicit model which is much more traditional in its theoretical and methodological conceptions. In the conclusions, its propose the need to improve teacher training linking it more directly with the carrying out of teaching practice.

Digital self-efficacy and the amount of perceived support from the school can improve teachers’ motivation to increase the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the classroom. Likewise, attitude, perception, gender, and experience of mathematics teachers are factors that influence their use of ICT. This study aimed to analyze the profiles of mathematics teachers, determine the existence of differences between them, and identify the sample size necessary to detect significant differences. A total of 73 high school teachers were included in this cross-sectional study. Teaching practice, ICT resources, ICT in the classroom, skills, and uses of ICT were assessed through a validated 19-item questionnaire. Statistical analysis revealed that the required sample to detect significant differences was 53 subjects. Further, 67.21% of the mathematics teachers surveyed in Melilla were younger than 40 years of age, and 62.30% had less than 6 years of teaching experience. In addition, 81.97 and 47.54% of mathematics teachers stated that they consider themselves to have sufficient ICT resources at home for their work and in the classroom, respectively. Through different clusters, mathematics teachers can be identified and classified according to their motivational and competence profiles in pedagogical and digital areas. In addition, young teachers with some teaching experience had positive perceptions of technology, as reflected by high scores in the motivation indicator for ICT.

The perception one holds towards language teaching practice governs the failure or success of teaching practice. To this end, this study aimed to assess EFL traineeteachers’ perceptions of teaching practices in four selected teacher education colleges of southern Ethiopia. To address the objectives, the study employed mixed method design. 120 EFL trainee-teachers were selected through comprehensive sampling. Questionnaire, interview and focus group discussion were data collection tools. Questionnaire was employed to examine the perceptions of EFL trainee-teachers towards school-based teaching practice. Interviews was carried out to triangulate data from questionnaire. Focus group discussion was employed to corroborate the data from questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire was administered to all 120 EFL trainee teachers. Accordingly, the quantitative data were analysed using mean and standard deviation. Qualitative data were analysed descriptively. The finding from survey data revealed that EFL trainee teachers had positive perceptions towards school-based teaching practice. The findings from interview also supported the quantitative data result. The findings from the focus group discussion also supported the quantitative and qualitative results. Furthermore, the findings from Mann-Whitney U test revealed that there were no perceptions differences between male and female students due to gender.

OBJECTIVES/GOALS: An evidence-based approach for childhood obesity is family-based treatment (FBT). Research supports that motivation and income level may impact treatment success; however, the relationship between the two is understudied. Therefore, the objective of this study was to examine whether motivation for beginning FBT is associated with income levels. METHODS/STUDY POPULATION: 459 parent and child dyads from the PLAN (Pediatric, Learning, Activity, Nutrition) with Families multisite study were included in this study. PLAN consists of FBT through personalized health coaching over the course of two years, focusing on nutrition, physical activity, and parenting skills. Parent and child also attend height and weight assessments every 6 months in the study. Outcomes of the study include weight change and mastery of behavioral skills. Motivation and income level were provided by self-report at the beginning of the study. Motivation was based on a scale from 1-10 (1 = no motivation, 10 = high motivation). Income levels were grouped into one of three broader categories- low income ($80,000/year). RESULTS/ANTICIPATED RESULTS: The mean level of motivation for the parent was 8.76 and for the child was 7.87. There was a significant difference in the mean level of motivation for the child and parent, t = 7.73, p = < .001. Post-hoc multiple comparisons using Tukey’s HSD test indicated that children in the high-income group had lower levels of motivation (M = 7.29, SD = 2.07) compared to children in the middle (M = 8.18) and low (M = 8.70) income groups. Level of motivation did not differ for children in the middle and low-income groups. Finally, parent motivation level did not differ significantly by income group. While there were significant differences between parent and child motivation levels, the motivation remained high for both groups. DISCUSSION/SIGNIFICANCE OF IMPACT: The data suggests a significant difference in mean child motivation and income level. Child’s high motivation may be from the idea of participating in something new, a rare opportunity for low-income children. To improve the implementation and efficacy of FBT, further study into the relationship between motivation and income level should be done.

The small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial part in county’s economic growth and a key contributor in country’s GDP. In Pakistan SMEs hold about 90 percent of the total businesses. The performance of SMEs depends upon many factors. The main aim for the research is to examine the relationship between Innovation Capability, Absorptive Capacity and Performance of SMEs in Pakistan. This conceptual paper also extends to the vague revelation on Business Strategy in which act as a moderator between Innovation Capability, Absorptive Capacity and SMEs Performance. Conclusively, this study proposes a new research directions and hypotheses development to examine the relationship among the variables in Pakistan’s SMEs context.

The article deals with the problem of achieving sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between the components of sustainable development, taking into account the involvement of indigenous peoples in nature conservation. Climate change makes achieving sustainable development more difficult. Indigenous peoples are the first to feel the effects of climate change and play an important role in the environmental monitoring of their places of residence. The natural environment is the basis of life for indigenous peoples, and biological resources are the main source of food security. In the future, the importance of bioresources will increase, which is why economic development cannot be considered independently. It is assumed that the components of resilience are interrelated and influence each other. To identify this relationship, a model for the correlation of sustainable development components was developed. The model is based on the methods of correlation analysis and allows to determine the tightness of the relationship between economic development and its ecological footprint in the face of climate change. The correlation model was tested on the statistical materials of state reports on the environmental situation in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. The approbation revealed a strong positive relationship between two components of sustainable development of the region: economy and ecology.

In the relationship between teachers and distance learning in the context of COIVD-19, a series of unprecedented dynamics have emerged relating to a process of open-air experimentation that is going on in the world of school. The main constructs investigated in this paper concern the professional perceptions of teachers in terms of their skills and resistances towards digital technologies. To investigate this topic, a questionnaire on distance learning was administered to a sample of 658 teachers. From a methodological point of view, factor and reliability analyses and correlation and regression analyses were conducted. From the analysis of the results, it emerged that the questionnaire measures the resistance of teachers to distance learning and focuses on three main dimensions (two positive and one negative) that link teachers’ perceptions to the resistance to distance learning. In conclusion, the theme of the acceptance of technologies in the practice of teachers is still a subject full of meaning for professional perception and vision. A second issue concerns precisely the relationship between digital technologies and users, which must no longer focus only on the relationship with students but also on the perspective of the other training actors, including teachers.

Abstract This presentation describes a supportive mindfulness practice for caregivers of older adults based on the principles of Won Buddhism (an integrative, a modernized Buddhism). As the aging population grows, there is a significant increase in recognition of the negative impact of caregiver stress on older adults’ quality of life. The ability for caregivers to deal compassionately with stress is essential, as caring for older adults can awaken feelings about one’s own vulnerability and mortality. The ‘Mindful Gratitude Practice’ offers a way to cope with stress, cultivate self-care, and improve the care of others. Relevant research will be summarized, which shows mindfulness and gratitude practice respectively benefit positive influence in both physical and emotional well-being. Mindful Gratitude Practice as a spiritual approach that fosters caregivers' emotional stability, reduces their stress and improves the relationship between older adults and their caregivers. In this presentation, three processes of Mindful Gratitude Practice will be described: 1. Understanding a mindfulness practice by establishing intention, attention, and attitude, 2. Learning the principles of a gratitude practice and implementation, and 3. Incorporating mindfulness into a gratitude practice. Research results have demonstrated that through this learning process, caregivers have acquired the concept of interconnectedness, experience grateful moments, and a deep feeling of appreciation in their caregiving relationships. The presenter will guide participants in a short experience of Mindfulness Gratitude Practice. Further readings and resources will be provided for those who are interested.
