Tanggai Dance is a welcome guest dance in the city of Palembang. Tanggai Dance is one of the dance that until now continues to exist and become a dance that must be known and studied by young people especially women. It is not recklessly to dance the Tanggai dance, but dancers should also know the contents of the dance, because there is a value to be conveyed to the people who appreciate the Tanggai dance. There are two focus problems that will be researched and formulated in the research question which is how the form of Tanggai dance and what is the meaning of the movement of Tanggai dance in the city of Palembang. This research uses qualitative research methods. The research aims to discuss the shape and meaning of the dance movements of Tanggai. The discussion of the form uses the concept of Suzzane K. Langer and Soedarsono about the form which means the structure of a relationship of various factors that are intertwined. Discussion of the meaning of motion using the concept expressed by Anya Peterson Roice about the three things of use is, mimetic, abstract, and metaphoric. The result of this research is Tanggai dance in Palembang city is a packaging dance form for welcome guests. Related to the meaning of the whole movement of Tanggai dance that has the meaning of surrender to the Lord Almighty.Keywords: dance form and motion meaning.

ABSTRAK Upacara tradisi ngaras dan ngibakan merupakan suatu tradisi yang dilakukan sebelum pelaksanaan hari pernikahan. Upacara ini, dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Sunda termasuk pada masyarakat Sunda di Kota Bandung sebagai suatu cara yang dipercaya agar prosesi pernikahan dapat berjalan lancar. Dalam perkembangan era globalisasi, tradisi tersebut mengalami perubahan diakibatkan masyarakat Kota Bandung yang mudah mendapatkan arus globalisasi sehingga masyarakat lebih menyukai produk jasa yang lebih efisien dan praktis sebagai ciri masyarakat modern. Hal ini berdampak pada munculnya penyedia jasa yang memodifikasi tradisi ngaras dan ngibakan dengan mengikuti permintaan pasar untuk mendapatkan nilai komoditas maksimal. Tulisan ini, merupakan deskripsi analisis dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Adapun teori yang digunakan, yaitu komodifikasi. Penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk menggali sejauh mana proses komodifikasi serta dampak yang ditimbulkan terhadap masyarakat Sunda Kota Bandung itu sendiri.Kata Kunci : Komodifikasi, Upacara Tradisi, Ngaras dan Ngibakan ABSTRACT The ngaras and ngibakan ceremony is a tradition that is carried out before entering the wedding day. This ceremony, carried out by the Sundanese people in the city of Bandung as a trusted way for the wedding procession to run smoothly. In the development of the era of globalization, the tradition has changed due tothe people of the city of Bandung who are easy to get the flow of modernization so that people prefer service products that are more efficient and practical. This has resulted in the emergence of service providers who modify the ngaras and trap traditions that follow market demand to get maximum commodity value. This research, is a description of the analysis using qualitative research methods. The theory used is the Commodification. This study aims to find out, 1) the management of dynamic records, 2) the factors that influence the management of documents, 3) the obstacles faced in archive management in the Library and Archives Office of the City of Palangka Raya. This study used qualitative research methods. The informants in this study were Administrative Section Staff, Dynamic Records Management Section Staff, and archivists at the Library and Archives Service Office of Palangka Raya City. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The steps in analyzing data are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Checking the validity of the data is done by testing credibility with the strategy, including extending observations, research perseverance, triangulation, peer discussion, and member checking. The results of this study indicate that in general the management of dynamic records in the Library and Archives Office of the City of Palangka Raya includes: the creation of dynamic archives which include the creation of incoming letters and outgoing letters. Use of archives which include borrowing archives that use borrowed archive sheets and rediscovering archives that use a control card and archive search list. Obstacles in the management of records in the form of lack of filing rooms, lack of budgets in the procurement of archival facilities, and the lack of an archive staff

The Pesaguan Dayak tribe is a tribe in West Kalimantan Province. Most of the people of this tribe are Catholic and Protestant. In the initial observation (pre-research), it seems that their understanding of the Bible and its position in the practice of life needs attention. However, in everyday life, the Pesaguan Dayak community is still robust with the customs, ethics, and moral norms of the tribal religion. To obtain a Christian portrait of the Pasaguan Dayak tribe, the researchers used qualitative research methods, emphasizing surveys or observations and interviews. From the results of research and interviews conducted, it was found that in the daily life of the Pesaguan Dayak people, the Bible is not the primary basis for the Pesaguan Dayak tribe. Another portrait of Christianity found in the field is the absence of awareness from the Pesaguan Dayak community to reach out to Malays to believe in Jesus, even though they live next door.   Suku Dayak Pesaguan adalah suku yang berada di Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Sebagian besar orang-orang dari suku ini beragama Katolik dan Protestan. Pada obersevasi awal (prapenelitian), tampaknya pemahaman mereka tentang Alkitab dan posisinya dalam praktik kehidupan, perlu mendapat perhatian. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, masyarakat suku Dayak Pesaguan masih sangat kuat dengan adat istiadat, etika dan norma-norma moral agama suku.  Untuk memperoleh potret kekristenan suku Dayak Pasaguan, maka peneliti memanfaatkan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan menekankan pada survei atau observasi dan wawancara. Dari hasil penelitian dan wawancara yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat suku Dayak Pesaguan, Alkitab bukanlah landasan dasar utama yang dimiliki suku Dayak Pesaguan. Potret kekristenan lainya yang ditemukan di lapangan yaitu belum adanya kesadaran dari masyarakat suku Dayak Pesaguan untuk menjangkau orang Melayu untuk percaya pada Yesus, meskipun mereka hidup bertetangga.

This study aims to find out how to study the Nani Wartabone statue in terms of visuals, to provide knowledge to the people of Gorontalo the meaning of the Nani Wartabone statue and to describe the background study and visualization of the Tilongolo Nani Wartabone monument statue. This research was written using descriptive qualitative research methods, the authors observed in detail the background and visualization of the Tilongolo Nani Wartabone monument, the results of this study allow the writer to know the historical background of the Tilongolo Nani Wartabone monument statue and the writer can also know the visual meaning of the Tilongolo Monument statue Nani Wartabone. The research results obtained by the author are quite good because there are two sources who are quite helpful in the process of writing this research, the conclusion or the final result of this study is that the writer and the public can find out the background of the Nani Wartabone statue made to commemorate his services in fighting the invaders and the meaning of the visualization of the statue of the struggle of Nani Wartabone, namely: (1) The pointing hand has a meaning, namely his birthplace, Bube Village, Suwawa District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province; (2) Bayonet in the left pocket is made by Suwawa which has the mystical power to protect Nani Wartabone in certain situations; (3) The pistol in the right pocket is used as a helper for the main weapon in the left hand of Nani Wartabone; (4) The weapon in the left hand of Nani Wartabone is a long rifle (hunting rifle) that can be used on the battlefield; (5) The Safari uniform used by Nani Wartabone has patriotic meaning and strength; and (6) Base of 2 and the curve of base of 3 represents the number 23 celebrated as patriotic day by the people of Gorontalo.

The research entitled "The Life of Anne Mary’s Figure in the Novel Sekumtum Ruh dalam Merah by Naning Pranoto : Intertextual Study" aims to find out the life of Anne Mary's character in intertextual relations. In this study used intertextual theory with qualitative research methods. The results of this research are the discovery of intertextual relationships in the life of Anne Mary's character in the novel Sekumtum Ruh dalam Merah by Naning Pranoto namely the relationship of life with the queen of England mid 16th century, myths of bloody Mary, Mary Ann's alcoholic beverage brands, and the puppet story of Dewi Anjani.   Penelitian berjudul “Kehidupan Tokoh Anne Mary dalam Novel Sekumtum Ruh dalam Merah Karya Naning Pranoto: Kajian Intertekstual” bertujuan untuk mengetahui kehidupan tokoh Anne Mary dalam hubungan intertekstual. Di dalam penelitian ini digunakan teori intertekstual dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ditemukannya hubungan intertekstual di dalam kehidupan tokoh Anne Mary dalam novel Sekumtum Ruh dalam Merah karya naning Pranoto yakni hubungan kehidupan dengan ratu Inggris pertenaghan abad 16, mitos bloody Mary, merk minuman alkohol Mary Ann, dan cerita pewayangan Dewi Anjani.

This research is a research conducted to determine the procedures, components of the ceremony, and to know the function and meaning of the Nava Rathiri and Vijaya Dhasami celebrations for Hindus in Medan City. This study used qualitative research methods and data collection was carried out by following the ceremony held directly by the Maha Puja Navarathiri & Vijaya Dhasamiumat Hindu ceremony at the Sri Mariaman Temple, Medan City. This research was conducted at the Srimariaman temple, where the navaratri is carried out for nine days every night in a row by Hindus living in the city of Medan. The result of this research is that this celebration is a worship for goddesses who have fought long ago against evil, namely giants. This celebration performed at Worship was done to please the goddesses for nine days as many days as it took for the goddess to defeat the evil monster. This is in accordance with its implementation, which is for nine days in the Tamil month of purification. There are many components used in this statement, from a series of flowers, coconut, trinkets, and many more. Worship is done to restore the good qualities of humans and defeat the bad qualities in humans because basically every human being is created for good. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the performance of the Regional Parliament of Palangka Raya in carrying out legislative powers and to describe and analyze the constraints that affect the Palangka Raya City DPRD in setting regional regulations. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The types and sources of data chosen by researchers are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used to obtain information are interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the performance of the Palangka Raya City DPRD (DPRD) in exercising legislative power with the City of Palangka Raya government is quite good. In the period 2015 to 2017, 36 local regulations have been discussed and established. However, if it is reviewed from the proposal initiation, it can be said to be unsatisfactory, because only 9 Regional Regulations are the initiative of the Palangka Raya City DPRD. Factors that influence the performance of the DPRD of Palangka Raya City in setting regional regulations are: Human Resources, Data and Information, and Experience. The condition of Human Resources with an average Bachelor level education (21 out of 30 people) is actually a supporting factor for performance. Given that the basic education is not in line and experience that is still lacking, it becomes an obstacle to support the legislative performance of members of the Palangka Raya City DPRD.

The place funeral general which serves as a burial place for people who died. Funeral general also has other functions such as the Green Open Space, catchment area water, and lungs of the city. The author uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of data in this study were obtained using the data used, interviews and documentation TPU Tegal Alur Unit II Islam which located in Jl.Kamal Raya No.1A. Kelurahan Tegal Alur. Kecamatan Kalideres. Kota Administrasi Jakarta Barat 11820. As well as interviews with that related source. The place funeral general tegal alur is a public cemetery that stands from the wakaf land owned by local residents. At the tomb was previously there is a tomb of Muslims and non-Muslims. TPU Tegal Alur Unit II Islam other than moving in service funeral, as providing information on funerals and retribution rates in general.
