The design of bags, chairs, chargers and tables is intended for commuter workers who carry out mobility activities every day. Design works that help to support commuter worker activities use a multi-functional system. The multi-function system is indicate by the shape and features attached. This product design method uses several stages including; 1) problem identification; 2) literature study: 3) design sketches, and: 4) design. The design results are turned into chairs, tables for lesehan (sitting on the floor) and bags. In addition, the other things are the storage box to store equipments for commuter workers while doing mobility and a solar cell which functions to capture sunlight which will be converted into electrical energy for energy sources to charge cellphones. Design works can be used in accordance with their respective functions. Design works carry the principle of multifunction, easy use, strong, lightweight and flexible. It is hoped that the design for this multi-functional products can be practical in use in the development of creative industries, and can overcome environmental pollution problems. From a theoretical perspective, it can be a reference for academics and science.

The article deals concept of measuring the electric motor-generator sets and represents the completion of a comprehensive design laboratory for electrical energy mikrozdroje laboratories. Given that the test set is powered energy industrial installations can not underestimate the risks arising from its operations. The seemingly simple design of the electrical part with manual control may seem a step back (in particular, from the viewpoint of universal, sometimes precipitous and unnecessary digitization anything), on the other hand the solution chosen allows combination possibilities that are not in the conventional digital control feasible.

Abstract Low production capacity and the traditional farming method that is practiced in Indonesia have resulted in Indonesia dependent on imports to fulfil the demand. Meat, milk, eggs, even skins still can not be fully supplied from national production. Livestock supply chain strategies such as the application of the creative economy and creative industries are needed to overcome the dependency gap on imported raw materials. The challenge in Indonesia is lack of technology & knowledge. This study aimed to determine the role of the creative economy and the creative industry in improving the livestock supply chain in Indonesia. This study used a conceptual method from a literature study. Currently, the creative economy and creative industries are still relatively at the level of SMEs. The recurring problem shows the weak management of technology and knowledge. Based on the literature study result, the creative economy and creative industries can increase the supply of livestock in Indonesia. Hopefully the research on creative economy strategies and creative industries will not only become a trend but also sustainable in the future.

The research article discussed the utilization of organic waste that always increases every year in line with the rate of population growth, therefore the article was prepared to review the utilization of organic waste as a form of conservation of electrical energy. The method in the research used is in the form of literature studies by collecting data from various sources or references relevant to the research conducted. The results of the literature study from several studies show that efforts to use organic waste derived from household waste, landfill waste, and organic waste in the market have the ability to be used for electrical energy sources and can be done energy conservation. The conclusion is that organic waste as an alternative to fossil fuels can be used as electrical energy, and that it can be used for energy conservation.

<em>The agricultural sector</em><em> is a strategic sector in Manokwari regency. The agricultural sector provides a major contribution in the regional economy, an economic base of rural people, dominate the life of most residents in this region and provider of food and raw materials for other sectors. The purpose of this study was to determine how big the contribution of different sub-sectors that exist in the agricultural sector, which analyzes sectors influential in changing the economic structure of agriculture in the area and know the potential commodities that can be developed in an effort to enhance the role of the agricultural sector. The research method used through literature study and analysis of secondary data sourced from the relevant authorities. To find out how big the factors that influence changes in economic structures of domination of the agricultural sector into non-agricultural sector estimates used Ordinary Least Square (OLS). For the determination of the potential commodities that can be seeded used method approach Location Quotient (LQ). The results showed the greatest contribution of the different sub-sectors within the agricultural sector contained in the food crops sub-sector. Based on the rate of growth per year, plantation crops sub-sector occupied the highest positions. The sectors that provide real impact on the agricultural sector's contribution to the regional gross domestic product �of the building sector and services sector. Potential commodities that can be developed in different areas in Manokwari regency include food crops and pulses, vegetables and fruits and livestock including cows, goats, pigs and chicken.</em>

The article is devoted to the subject of the goals of the climate and energy policy of the European Union, which can have both a positive, and a negative impact on the environmental and energy policies. Positive aspects are the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, diversification of energy supplies, which should improve Europe independence from energy imports, and increasing the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the national energy system structures. On the other hand, overly ambitious targets and actions can lead to large losses for the economies of EU Member States. The article also highlights the realities prevailing in the international arena and noncompliance of international actors with global agreements on climate protection.

The essays in this dossier are the result of the course  “Interreligious and intercultural dialogue from a decolonial perspective”, which took place between May and June 2017 at the CEIICH in the UNAM. In this course, I proposed to link a decolonial theoretical perspective to the topic of “intercultural dialogue” and, beyond, to “interreligious dialogue”; anyhow, this last topic turned out to be the point of departure to explore more profound dialogues, linked no only to religious phenomena but to sacred traditions and spiritualities. During the course, emphasis was put on this last aspect due to the fact that the topic of “the Divine” (in its different expressions), although central to decoloniality, has been poorly studied. Moreover, it has been marginalized within secularized social sciences —and this not just in Mexico, but in most occidentalized universities throughout the globe. This vacuum towards the study of “the Divine” —and, beyond, its limitation through a concept of culture (which is, at the same time, associated to the colonized and to the “other” of modernity)— led the participants of this volume to research deeper that which philosopher Enrique Dussel has described as the “spaces denied and oppressed by modernity”.

This paper explains political democratization in Post-Milosevic Serbia, utilizing two different accounts of the democratization process: one rooted in the rational choice framework and the other in structuralism. While rational choice explains the decisive role of political leadership in overcoming path dependence, the structuralist explanations show the transnational linkages that encourage democratization in the face of domestic setbacks. This particular debate between the two types of explanations represents the larger debate concerning the role of internal factors and external linkages in propelling democratization in transitional societies. Unsubsidised private retirement resorts in South Africa developed during the last three decades present residents with many challenges. There is no existing generally accepted knowledge base or guidelines to serve this sensitive market. The research objective was to establish which elements are experienced by residents of retirement resorts as satisfactory and which as problematic. A literature study was also undertaken. Quantitative as well as qualitative data were obtained by means of structured questionnaires, interviews and a seminar. The results reported pertain to eight resorts in the east of Pretoria, four in Bloemfontein and two in Knysna. The study is currently being extended to other centres. The quantitative data is arranged in order of the priorities set by the biggest group (Pretoria), with the other groups in comparison. So the research was based on the sourcing of quantitative and qualitative data, as well as on descriptive evaluations. The results offer insightful knowledge and guidelines towards establishing an optimal profile for the development of long-term sustainable private retirement resorts. The implications and value of this study are that both developers of retirement resorts and prospective residents are provided with guidelines to better equip them to evaluate a specific retirement resort with regard to the sustainable well- being of residents long-term.

In a radio frequency (RF) system, it is possible to use variable inductors for providing tunable or selective frequency range. Variable inductors can be implemented by the microelectromechanical system (MEMS) process or by using transistors as switches to change the routing of coils or coupling quantities. In this paper, we investigated the design method of a variable inductor by using MOS transistors to switch the main coil paths and the secondary coupled coils. We observed the effects of different metal layers, turn numbers, and layout arrangements for secondary-coupled coils and compared their characteristics on the inductances and quality factors. We implemented two chips in the 0.18 m CMOS process technology for each kind of arrangement for verification. One inductor can achieve inductance values from about 300 pH to 550 pH, and the other is between 300 pH and 575 pH, corresponding to 59.3% and 62.5%, respectively, inductance variation range at 4 GHz frequency. Additionally, their fine step sizes of the switched inductances are from 0.5% to 6% for one design, and 1% to 12.5% for the other. We found that both designs achieved a large inductance tuning range and moderate inductance step sizes with a slight difference behavior on the inductance variation versus frequency.

Abstract In view of the serious environmental pollution, which is the greatest problem the world is facing, and the continuous consumption of raw materials, it is imminent to search for green and sustainable resources. Lignin is an organic polymer that exists widely in nature, and if it can be transformed from traditional low-value waste product with low range of applications to functional materials with high application prospects, it can be of great significance to alleviate environmental pollution and shortage of fossil resources. One of the functional applications of lignin involves its use to fabricate composite with other polymeric materials, which can then be used to prepare membrane materials. This review summarizes the recent research and application progress of combining lignin with polypropylene, polyvinyl alcohol, starch, cellulose, chitosan, and other polymeric materials to prepare composite membranes; and summarizes the future development direction of lignin-based composite membranes. We hope this review may provide a new perspective to the understanding of lignin-based composite membranes and a useful reference for future research.
