The birth of Islamic full-day school (SDIT) brings about the direct or indirect effect to the existence of Islamic elementary schools. several schools in Surakarta and its surroundings are lack of students and some of them break up. based on the observation most of the broken schools were built by the collective societies. conversely, the integrated schools or the full-day schools were usually established and possessed by private owners; thus, the profit oriented management of such schools are more dominant; even though, this assumption is not absolutely always correct.

Generally, schools in remote areas, in this case SD Muhammadiyah Maesan and SD Muhammadiyah Bangeran have few students, this could be due to several factors related to learning technology, namely: teacher competence in using ICT devices for learning is inadequate, elementary schools do not yet have software as a forum for digital learning content that can be a medium for interaction of teaching and learning activities between teachers and students via the internet, ICT infrastructure in elementary schools is not sufficient for learning. Therefore, the community service team implemented a Moodle learning management system (LMS) platform for learning in both schools. With this e learning platform, it can make it easier for teachers or teaching staff to create IT / e learning-based teaching material content. The teachers are taught the process of installing, dressing and maintaining the devices. After the implementation of community service, SD Muhammadiyah Maesan and SD Muhammadiyah Bangeran can use e-learning / moodle cloud in managing the subjects to be taught.

This is based on several observations and found indications that most parents do not use their time well when activities wait for children to go home from school, parents only spend time without meaningful activities they usually spend just by chatting with other parents, sometimes teachers also accompany their children to learn in the classroom where these activities greatly interfere with the ongoing teaching and learning process. As a result of the routine and busyness of the parents, it is necessary to have activities that can be useful for parents and also for children's growth and development. This article discusses about the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) as an innovation of learning science in elementary schools. In fact, the practical implementation of learning is still focused on the teacher as the main actor in which instruction is the dominant strategy in the learning process. Basically CTL is a concept of learning that helps educators link between what is taught with real-world situations of students and encourages them to make connections between the knowledge possessed and implemented in their lives. The concept of CTL applied in science teaching course could have implications, especially in learning to understand the natural phenomena that are not only conceptual. In consequence, students can receive full knowledge built through real experiences.
