One of the priority directions of modernization of the system of teaching staff training in Ukraine is the introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the educational process. This encourages research and pedagogical staff to use the learning tools that helps to present educational material in an interesting and accessible form. One of the tools is electronic learning quest-manual. The electronic educational quest-manual is called an electronic publication, which promotes the intensification of the learning process, the development of students’ creative thinking, formation of their skills to work in the information and communication environment, etc. The article describes the interface and structure of the electronic manual «Matrixes and operations on matrices», built with the use of gaming technologies, elements of educational material and hyperlinks visualization. The structural blocks of the quest-manual are subdivided into the blocks with theoretical material and assessment blocks. The quest manual is developed in accordance with the methods of teaching: consciousness and activity, visual impact, systematic method, method of consistency, scientific and method of accessibility. The content of this pedagogical software tool corresponds to the curriculum and work program for linear algebra for students of the specialty 014.04 Secondary education. Mathematics. It deals with the topic «Concepts and types of matrices», «Properties and operations on matrices». It is established that electronic quests-manuals should be used for students’ independent work and in practical classes. The introduction of this software in the learning process provides access to training for all categories of students, the ability to study at any pace, at any time, accelerate the memory of learning material, save time, etc. It is shown that the introduction of electronic manuals in the process of preparing future mathematics teachers contributes to raising the interest and students’ motivation for studying, developing their information culture and forming readiness for future pedagogical activity, individualization and intensification of the educational process. The article presents the students' feedback on the use of electronic learning tools, in particular quest-guides.

The article describes the functionality of multimedia education instruments to train future specialists in labour protection. One of the tasks of HEI is to train a future specialist for professional activity in a highly developed information and communication environment, who must be a connoisseur of modern pedagogical technologies, able to independently acquire and deep knowledge and skills. The primary task of the higher educational institution should introduce the forms and methods of students’ active learning into the educational process practice. The purpose of the article is to analyse the functionality of multimedia teaching instruments that will determine the effectiveness of their use in the process of future labour safety professionals’ training. While doing the research, theoretical methods made it possible to identify problems and tasks, to study the scientific literature and summarize the material. The latest multimedia educational instruments give students the opportunity to use non-traditional information sources, improve the efficiency of self-study work, give new opportunities for creativity, and implement new forms and methods of learning. Multimedia learning tools greatly expand the capabilities of teachers, which promotes individualization of learning, activation of students' cognitive activity and adapts the learning process to their individual characteristics. Each student can work in its own mode, choose the rate at which the material is optimally assimilated. Information technologies are used to develop educational technologies and create modern effective learning tools. They have a large range and potential to improve the learning process. The students’ individual self-work helps to consolidate, deepen and systematize the acquired knowledge. In order to ensure and improve the quality of the educational process, it is necessary to develop and implement modern information and communication technologies along with the traditional means of education. The introduction of multimedia technologies in the educational process will improve the quality of knowledge, strengthen the motivational aspect, the students’ cognitive interest to increase the level of professional training.

The development of educational processes in the universities of Kazakhstan in modern conditions occur in the following areas: individualization of educational methods, the transition to a continuous educational technology, the use of information technology in the educational process. The emergence of a new form of distance learning has fundamentally changed the idea of organizing the educational process as a whole. The use of modern educational technologies allows to increase the number of university students served. Relevance The article describes the implementation of this process, which is associated with the solution of a number of issues such as: developing an infrastructure for e-learning: developing new methods and training and sets of programs to support a single information space: developing e-courses: training students in using e-learning tools for training. Methods In the context of ubiquitous informatization, interactive forms of interaction are needed, covering a large contingent of students, ensuring the mobility of the teaching staff. The only form corresponding to these requirements is distance learning presented in the form of a whole range of technologies ensuring the delivery of the main volume of the material being studied to students, interactive interaction of students and teachers in the learning process, providing the learner with the opportunity for independent work on mastering the material being studied as well as in the learning process. Results Remote educational technologies in teaching students are one of the important activities of the university. The Faculty of Distance Learning provides technological support for the educational process, conducts training for teaching staff in distance learning technologies. Discussion The authors of the article describe the technology of remote learning using information and communication tools of the Internet. Development of distance courses based on state standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and compiled taking into account the experience of European universities - leaders in the field of e-learning. Conclusion The authors of the article believe that the increasingly widespread term “e-learning” includes the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), which, potentially, can be used in education, is rapidly expanding.

The authors of the article draw attention to the relevance of the use of e-learning tools to improve the quality of student preparation, as well as they consider the specifics of pedagogical communication within the framework of the information and educational environment. The language of education changes: there is a transition from written forms to audiovisual ones. In addition to traditional actors of the educational process (a teacher and a student), the third actor appears. It is learning tools that operate on the basis of information and communication technologies. The use of e-learning resources in the learning process allows to provide flexible forms of students’ interaction with a teacher and educational content; to organize interactive learning, follow-up and final assessment; to facilitate the management of the educational process for a teacher. The combination of in-class and online (extramural) forms of attendance is most effective. Also, it is necessary to include a cooperative learning approach in the e-learning model. The article describes the experience of using the virtual learning environment (Moodle) in organization of the educational process in a number of subjects (“Psychology of Lying”, “Ergonomics”, etc.) for the students of humanitarian and electrical engineering majors.

The article substantiates the use of serious games for training in the specialty 061 Journalism. Serious games are viewed as information and communication technologies for training journalists. Well-known serious games of journalistic direction are analyzed. The role of serious games in the courses «Internet Journalism», «Blogging», «International Journalism», «Fact-Checking», «Art Journalism», etc. is determined. The project of a serious game «J-chess» for journalists using the universal modeling language (UML) is described. It identified the benefits of serious games for learning journalists: work the principles of active- and problem-based learning, a pleasant and deep immersion in professional issues and educational topics. Serious games are also a basis for strengthening the interdisciplinary links between mandatory and selective disciplines of journalists’ professional training. The content and principles of serious games contribute to reaching learning outcomes defined in the Higher Education Standard in journalism. It confirmed this by the four-year results of students' surveys. Problematic issues for the practice of serious games in the educational process are shown: digital inequality, availability of video games, lack of integration of serious games with electronic learning systems, students’ readiness to play, the didactic impact of the game, and ethical dilemmas. Emphasis is placed on the need to create methodological aids for serious games, determine their role and place in the discipline’s structure, formulate the principles and algorithms for pedagogical support of serious games. Solving these problems will promote the academic and practical training of future journalists through serious games, intensify the development of serious games, bring together the gaming industry and education. Integrating serious games with online learning will be the basis for trans-media learning. And this will increase the quality of education and the level of satisfaction of graduates and stakeholders.

In the concept of the Ukrainian education modernization new priorities have been identified.
