The need for burial land in the City of Banjarbaru is increasing along with the population growth every year. On the other hand, the availability of land for public cemeteries that does not increase is a problem. The way to overcome this problem is to develop a cemetery in a suitable new location. In achieving the objectives, the authors first collect and summarize primary and secondary data and conduct a literature review and applicable laws and regulations, followed by collecting data on the physical condition / environmental baseline. Second, determine the location of the public cemetery based on the land suitability score. The analysis on this target uses land suitability analysis using GIS. Third, analysis of population and mortality predictions. The analysis uses an analysis of the number of occupations and the size of the area. From the analysis, it is known that several new locations for burial development are still possible. Namely located in Sungai Tiung Village and Cempaka Village, Cempaka District and Gantung Manggis Village and East Landasan Ulin Village, Landasan Ulin District.   Keywords : Banjarbaru City, Development of Public Cemeteries, Location Determination Analysis min.

Palavras-Chave: Juventudes, Território, Juvenicídio, Urbicídio THE TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN: Urbicide and Youthicide in Brasilian Reality.Abstract: The present article discuss two apparently distinct phenomena, Urbicide and Youthicide, as expressions of the structural crisis of capital, which is aggravated in Brazil and in the other dependent countries in the present conjuncture. The city is the stage of a neoliberal model that segregates the  working class, without right to the city  and  the social services. The youth, even if legally recognized as subject of rights, are victims of the absence of social policies, mainly in the peripheries, territories violated by the Criminal State. The public policies e promote limited actions focused on the recruitment of young people in the labor market disassociated with public policies of basic social protection, increasingly precarized. However, youths, full of potentialities, can carry out resistance movements to this project which excludes, imprisons and kills. Keywords: Youth,Territory,Youthcide, Urbicide

The solid waste management is not only necessary for maintaining the hygienic environment but in reducing the probable health hazards. The current study deals with the problems faced by the public due to improper waste management and the behaviour in waste disposal. The data used in our study is both primary and the secondary data. Waste cannot be simply thrown away anymore, now it must be managed. Many materials thrown away could be saved by simple things like reusing glass, the municipal landfill could be reduced by almost 10 percent and there are still many advantages to waste management. Today, more people are in favour of companies who invest in “green products”. As a result, companies have removed phosphates, bleaches, and have made their paper products out of recycled papers. The objective of writing this paper is to study the current practices related to the various waste management initiatives taken in India for human wellbeing. The other purpose is to provide some suggestions and recommendations to improve the waste management practices in Indian towns. Int. J. Soc. Sc. Manage. Vol. 7, Issue-2: 70-77

ABSTRACT:This article investigates the emergence of the Copenhagen slaughterhouse, called the Meat City, during the late nineteenth century. This slaughterhouse was a product of a number of heterogeneous components: industrialization and new infrastructures were important, but hygiene and the significance of Danish bacon exports also played a key role. In the Meat City, this created a distinction between rising production and consumption on the one hand, and the isolation and closure of the slaughtering facility on the other. This friction mirrored an ambivalent attitude towards meat in the urban space: one where consumers demanded more meat than ever before, while animals were being removed from the public eye. These contradictions, it is argued, illustrate and underline the change of the city towards a ‘post-domestic’ culture. The article employs a variety of sources, but primarily the Copenhagen Municipal Archives for regulation of meat provision.

The aim of this article is to look at strategic management of a large city from the two different perspectives: theoretical and empirical. In the first part the author focused on theoretical fundaments of management, particularly of the public strategic management. The second part presented the characteristics of the process of strategic management based on empirical data: two strategic documents adopted in Katowice over the last number of years were analysed. One of these documents is a currently binding one and the other is of an archival character. Referring to both the systematics and the means of preparation of these documents, as well as to their content, the author showed their common elements and the transformation which have occurred over the last number of years concerning the manner and approach to strategic management in the city. Based on documents analysis, the author answered the question asked in the introduction, which is whether in relation to the long-term policy of Katowice can one talk about change or continuation.

In the course of last year I was concerned, together with Mr. R. J. Whitwell, in publishing in Archaeologia Aeliana a particularly detailed account of the construction of a galley at Newcastle-upon- Tyne in 1295. The building of this vessel was part of an extensive naval programme due to the war with France begun in the previous year. Although I was able to trace the accounts of many of the vessels built on this occasion, I failed to find those of the two galleys which the City of London was directed to furnish. Quite recently, I came upon the full particulars of the building of the second of these among the ‘Sheriffs' Administrative Accounts’ at the Public Record Office, which are a subdivision of the class of ‘Accounts, etc.’, formed from the ancient miscellanea of the King's Remembrancer of the Exchequer. With this detailed account I found a summary of expenses prepared from it, and a similar summary of the expenses of some repairs done at the same time and place to two barges. In the similar subdivision entitled ‘Works ’ was a like summary of the expenses of construction of the first galley. The accounts which I had previously found had been classified as ‘Army and Navy’, but the circumstances that in London the sheriffs were responsible for the expenses had led to these accounts being separated from those of the other vessels.

This paper intends to explore the events of the conflict on 23 May 1997 from the aspect of the peaceful resolution. Where a peace-building effort is needed to maintain a peaceful situation. With the collective memory being represented in the present mass, it is part of the form of efforts in fostering post-conflict sustainable peace. Through the elements of society (Non-Governmental Actor) the memory of conflict is represented in the public sphere as a form of warning against forgetting over history. The role of a non-governmental actor in peacebuilding has a strategic role in resolving conflicts and building peace post-conflict. There are three things raised in this research that is: The incident of conflict "Jum'at Kelabu" in the city of Banjarmasin in 1997, a collective memory form of conflict that built elements of society after the conflict, and the views of elements of society to the collective memory that was represented in the present in the effort to build peacebuilding. This research is a qualitative research, using a sociology-historical approach. The method used in data collection is through observation, interview, and documentation as secondary data. From the results of data analysis, the following results are obtained: the conflict that occurred in Banjarmasin city has a long chronology, the cause of this conflict is an unclear campaign route, the party base that controls Banjarmasin, because the mass of one the OPP that interfere with the Friday prayer, and aggressiveness of campaign participants. The form of peacebuilding efforts of the elements of society is to take peaceful action down the street, discussion/dialogue, and watching a documentary film. Elements of society argue that bringing back the memory of the conflict has two impacts: negative and positive impacts on people’s lives thereafter. These efforts need to be built to create an awareness that the conflict is painful, unpleasant and disturbing so hopefully it will never happen again.

The Vulnerable Black-necked Crane Grus nigricollis is a known migrant to various locations in India. Here, we report two new locations in Arunachal Pradesh, north-east India, where one is a possible wintering location and the other a possible stopover en route their migration. One new location in Shergaon (western Arunachal Pradesh) is relatively close to previous locations; however, the one in Mechuka (central Arunachal Pradesh) is some distance away from previous records which is highly intriguing. These records of this threatened species will hopefully assist with local conservation measures, bring about more rigorous monitoring, and more surveys for these rare species in the region.
