The development of technology in cellular phones, cameras, digitalization, and internet create new opportunities in creating art, including cinematograpics creation and in sharing said creation to the public. Using a cellular phone, one can create and edit a film then upload saif film to video sharing platform such as Youtube, Vimeo, Metacafe, Dailymotion, etc. Problems arise when the uploaded films are being used, without the owner’s consent, for a commercial activity, in this case in a commercially TV show which has commercial slot in it. This article will discuss the afromentioned video usage in relation to Law No. 28 Year 2014 Regarding Copyright. The usage of uploaded videos in commercial activity infringes the copyright owner’s exclusive rights and in the process of obtaining the said video disables or circumvents technological protection measures put in place by the platform.   Keyword: copyright; video sharing platform; technological protection measures

BACKGROUND YouTube is a popular American video-sharing platform that has been accessible to the public since 2005. Previous studies have shown that YouTube is potentially beneficial to medical education, but the quality of videos still need to be determined. OBJECTIVE The goal of this study is to understand the quality of the YouTube videos by evaluating the characteristics of physicians and the total number of views on videos regarding fibromyalgia. METHODS The term “fibromyalgia” was searched on the YouTube search engine by relevance, the default setting. Information from the first 100 videos were analyzed. A search was performed on Scopus to determine the h-index and fibromyalgia-related publication for any physician who was featured in the videos. RESULTS Of the top 100 videos, there were 64 academic videos, 18 vlogs, 5 interview videos, and 13 miscellaneous videos. Out of the 64 academic videos, 30 physicians, 7 Doctors of Philosophy (Ph.D.), 5 physical therapists, and 5 chiropractors were identified. The majority physicians have an adequate academic affiliation such as h-index and academic publications. CONCLUSIONS Residents and medical students will encounter a large number of academic videos on fibromyalgia on YouTube. This study suggests that many videos were posted for academic purposes and that the quality of the videos can be ensured to some degree. However, developing a better systemic evaluation of the quality of YouTube content is still necessary.

Beginning with a historical look at his CD releases a decade ago, the article explores his move from his cellular phone works to his more collaborative digital projects in recent times. With descriptions of several significant performance works, public art commissions and film soundtrack work, the piece explores the resonances and meanings with the ever-changing digital landscape of a contemporary sound artist.

<p>Home movies are now viewed in a variety of public contexts, a shift that entails a loss of their original meanings. In order to consider the impact of exhibiting these private documents, this thesis analyses the use of home movies within recycled footage productions, archival curation and online video-sharing. Investigating a variety of formal and informal screening contexts through close readings and archival research, it asks: what meanings do home movies acquire in new contexts? How might the reuse of home movies affect our understandings of their production and the past they portray? Does a perception that home movies could appear boring influence how they are framed or altered for public audiences?  Due to their form and content, home movies may seem ill-suited to public exhibition. Popular discourses about home movies during their heyday of production reveal a widespread belief that they were boring (for outsiders) to watch. While recent literature has assessed home movies more favourably, it has tended to overlook their potential to bore viewers who have no personal relationship to them. Drawing upon theories of boredom, this study argues meaningfulness is the principal factor determining whether a viewer finds a particular film interesting or boring. In their original form, home movies may appear relatively meaningless and therefore boring to public audiences. Recycled footage films re-edit images, however, to create engaging viewing experiences through narrative and affect. While more experimental productions frequently question the evidential value of home movie images, television documentaries tend to encourage audiences to perceive footage as authentic or nostalgic. Narrative and affect also feature in the exhibition strategies of moving image archives. Curated public programmes provide informative and enjoyable viewing for general audiences, but almost inevitably promote certain understandings of the past by offering specific interpretations of selected films. Moreover, the affective appeal of home movie images may outweigh other forms of meaning for viewers, particularly in community or participatory screening contexts. Online video-sharing platforms such as YouTube, which are curated by algorithms rather than human expertise, feature numerous home movies without any kind of framing or description. While this might seem profoundly boring, viewer comments suggest meaninglessness can foster imaginative and empathetic responses to home movies, often expressed as nostalgic longing. This propensity of home movie footage within different screening contexts to encourage nostalgic sentiments, or a belief that life was better in the past, has implications for collective memory and understandings of history. Moreover, the ability of at least some viewers to enjoy home movies in relatively contextless spaces suggests that in certain instances qualities associated with boredom may not be a significant impediment to meaningful experience after all.</p>

<p class="JGI-AbstractIsi">This study is conducted to see the potential demand with the characteristics of the campus environment, industrial environment, and tourism environment on internet fixed broadband use, where the objective of this survey is limited to households, individuals and businesses. Analysis is carried out in a descriptive manner based on the results of qualitative discussions by experts which is reinforced by the findings of the survey results. The survey results show that the internet utilization by the public (households, businesses) is mostly for communication and entertainment, so that the cellular internet is considered adequate for public's internet need. This is relevant to the public’s opinion that 87.9% of the internet needs are met when using cellular phone. There are 3 (three) perceptible reasons of why respondents choose not to subscribe to Fixed broadband internet, namely: 1) There is no necessity for subscription, 2) Lack of Knowledge/Information related to Broadband Fixed internet, and 3) Expensive Prices. The potential demand for each characteristic is always there, however, the most dominant one comes from the businesses, such as cafes/eateries, food stores, gift shops, photocopying businesses, vehicle rental services, travel businesses, etc.<strong></strong></p>

A user’s position-specific field has been developed using the Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. To determine the position using cellular phones, a device was developed, in which a pedestrian navigation unit carries the GPS. However, GPS cannot specify a position in a subterranean environment or indoors, which is beyond the reach of transmitted signals. In addition, the position-specification precision of GPS, that is, its resolution, is on the order of several meters, which is deemed insufficient for pedestrians. In this study, we proposed and evaluated a technique for locating a user’s 3D position by setting up a marker in the navigation space detected in the image of a cellular phone. By experiment, we verified the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method. Additionally, we improved the positional precision because we measured the position distance using numerous markers.


The political terrain surrounding the legalization of same-sex marriage and the need to accommodate individual's faith based objections have been part of the public discussion since the passage of initial marriage equality statutes. These exemptions played an important part in the bill's passage and have gone largely unquestioned from proponents of marriage equality. This chapter discusses the heightened lawmaking efforts by opponents insisting on broad protection measures for religious claims based on opposition directed towards homosexuality. This Chapter discusses the resulting tension between religious freedom and marriage equality.

The main purpose of the study was to explore the relationship between cellular phone and safety belt use. Rates of safety belt use of drivers using and drivers not using handheld cellular phones were compared. All data for safety belt and handheld cellular phone use were collected through direct observation while vehicles were stopped at intersections and freeway exit ramps in Michigan. Data were weighted to be representative of drivers during daylight hours in Michigan. Analyses included statistical comparisons of safety belt use rates and a logistic regression model to determine the effects of handheld cellular phone use on safety belt use. The study found that safety belt use for drivers using a handheld cellular phone was significantly lower than for drivers not using cellular phones. This same significant relationship was found within nearly all demographic categories analyzed. The logistic regression model showed that the odds of a handheld cellular phone user not using a safety belt were 1.77 times that of a driver not using a cellular phone. These results stress the importance of the public health issue posed by cellular phone use; not only are those who are conversing on cellular phones potentially more likely to be in a motor vehicle crash, they are also more likely to sustain greater injury because of the lack of safety belt use.

The early detection of defective lithium-ion batteries in cellular phones is critical due to the rapid increase in popularity and mass production of cellular phones. It is essential for manufacturers to design an optimal burn-in policy to differentiate between normal and weak batteries in short cycles prior to shipping them to the marketplace. A novel approach to determine the optimal burn-in policy using a feature selection strategy and relevance vector machine (RVM) is proposed. The sequential floating forward search (SFFS) is used as the feature selection method to find an optimal feature subset from the entire sequence of the batteries’ quality characteristics while preserving the original variables. Given the selected feature subset, the RVM is applied to classify batteries into two groups and simultaneously obtain the posterior probabilities. To achieve better discrimination performance with less risk, a new characteristic is extracted from the discharge profile. Subsequently, an optimization cost model is developed by introducing a classification instability penalty to ensure the stability of the optimal number of burn-in cycles. A case study utilizing cellular phone lithium-ion batteries randomly selected from manufactured lots is presented to illustrate the proposed methodology. Furthermore, we conduct a comparison with the cumulative degradation (CD) method and non-cumulative degradation (NCD) method based on the Wiener process. The results show that our proposed burn-in test method performs better than comparable methods.

Currently, there is intense competition in the industry for the development of new portable handsets. Maximizing the screen size and enhancing the performance are of utmost importance for the design of contemporary cellular phones. In particular, a sliding phone has a greater number of functions than other types of cellular phones, and the screen size of a sliding phone is relatively larger. However, because the existing spring units have limitations in terms of their mechanical performance, it is impossible for the display size to be maximized by transferring shortcut buttons, called navi-keys, which are located on the same plane of the display unit. The life cycle of a sliding phone is inversely proportional to the degree of spring deformation, which in turn depends on the sliding stroke. Therefore, a long-stroke sliding mechanism was investigated, and the manufacturing process for a novel sliding spring unit was proposed without increasing the thickness of the existing cellular phone. The possibility of performing semi-auto sliding strokes (>60 mm) was verified by flatness tests, life cycle tests, and sliding-force measurements. The performance of the designed spring unit was verified by carrying out reliability tests such as life cycle tests under the condition that the number of strokes was more than 100,000 and measurement tests to check whether the sliding force exceeded 250 gf.
