The present study has been designed to study the hardiness as a moderating variable in the autonomy and depression relationship. For this purpose, a sample of 300 adolescents (boys = 129, girls = 171) was collected belonging to 16 to 19 years of age. Incidental sampling technique was employed. The Emotional Autonomy Scale (Steinberg & Silverberg, 1986), Beck Depression Inventory (Beck, 1961) and Personal View Survey (Kobasa, 1986) were used to study the variables. Statistical analysis revealed emotional autonomy as a significant predictor of depression. Hardiness moderates this relationship significantly. There was a significant difference in the relationship between depression and emotional autonomy for three levels of hardiness (low, average, and high). The relationship between emotional autonomy and depression was observed to be stronger for low levels of hardiness.

The purpose of this research is to provide some insights into financial literacy among undergraduate students focusing primarily on the relationship between financial knowledge, financial attitudes and financial behavior and on possible gender and financial education gap in financial literacy. Using the purposive sampling technique, data collection was carried out from April to June 2020, yielding a sample of 1,046 valid responses. To gain a better understanding of the relationship between financial behaviour, financial attitudes and financial knowledge, we, primarily, use exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression model. The research findings have revealed several important issues. First, findings have suggested that financial knowledge, financial attitudes and gender may be considered as an antecedent of the financial behaviour of undergraduate students. Second, findings have also suggested a statistically - significant difference between the financial literacy of undergraduate students concerning their exposure to formal financial education.

The kidneys are organs of the body that function to regulate water balance in the body, the concentration of electrolytes in the blood and acid-base balance and secretion of waste material. If the kidney fails to function, the patient will need immediate treatment and even undergo hemodialysis (HD) therapy. A critical indicator in determining whether a person with impaired kidney function requires HD therapy is to know the creatinine level. The study aimed to ascertain the differences in creatinine levels pre and post HD also study the relationship between the age, gender, duration and frequency of HD therapy of respondents with the decrease of creatinine levels pre and post. Type of research detailed survey with a cross-sectional design. The sample was taken using a total sampling technique of 35 respondents from H BadaruddinKasimHospitalin Tanjung with a sample examination technique using the Jaffe method. The examination results of creatinine levels average for pre and post hemodialysis was11,36 and 5,58 mg/dl, which decreased 51%. The analysis statistically used Paired T-Test has a p-value = 0,000, indicating a significant difference for creatinine levels pre and post HD. Relationship between Age, Gender, Duration, and Frequency of HD Therapy with the decrease of creatinine levels pre and post HD was analyzed with Spearmen correlation and had p values more than 0,05. It means there was no relation between them. Conclusion there were significant differences in creatinine levels reduction pre and post HD while the relationship between the four of respondent characteristics to the magnitude of creatinine reduction show that there was no significant relationship.

The present study aims to study depression and death anxiety among long route and short route truck drivers. The sample size (n=60) truck drivers 30 short-route drivers and 30 long route drivers were selected using random sampling technique. The data was collected using Thakur Death- Anxiety Scale and Beck Depression Inventory. Results shows that significant difference exist on measures of depression and death anxiety scales among long and short route truck drivers. Significant difference was found among death anxiety and depression of short route drivers and long route drivers and all truck drivers. High Pearson correlation was found among death anxiety and depression among truck drivers.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parental involvement and academic achievement of children in some selected full cycle government primary schools of Bahirdar city. To achieve this objective, 180 sample students were selected by using simple random sampling technique. The collected data was analyzed through, spearman correlation, analysis of variance and independent-test. The finding of the study revealed that the statistical analysis on independent t-test showed that there was a statistically significant difference between male and female students with regard to their academic achievement (t=6.25, df = 178, p<0.05). The finding of spearman correlation indicates that there was significant relationship between parental involvement and academic achievement of students (r=.56, p <.05). The result on one way ANOVA displayed that there was statistical significant difference among respondents academic achievement with regard to their parental level of education (F 2, 176) = 17.084, P<0.05. In conclusion, parental involvement is positively correlated with academic achievement of students and males have better academic performance than their female counter parts.

The objective of the research was to find out whether estafet strategy is effective  to improve students’ writing skill on descriptive text of the eleventh year students’ of SMAN 4 Palopo.  This research usedquasi experimental. The population of this research was the eleventh grade students of SMAN 4 Palopo. The number of population was 50 students. The sample were class XI PS 1 consisted of 25 students as experimental group and class XI PS 2 consisted of 25 students as control class. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling. The instrument of the research was writing test. The writers gave pretest and posttest to the students.  The result showed that the students` mean score of posttest in experimental group was 90.44 and pretest was 65.96. The mean score of posttest was higher than the mean score of pretest (90.44>65.96). While the mean score of posttest in control class was 75.76 and the mean score of pretest was 60.52. The mean score of posttest was higher than the mean score of pretest (75.76>60.52). The result of statistical analysis the experimental group for level of significance 0.05 with degree of freedom (df) = 24; the probability value was smaller than α 0.00<0.5 and the result of statistical analysis the control class in which the probability value was lower than α .0.00>0.05. As a result, there was a significant difference in writing achievement between the students who are taught by using estafet strategy and those who are taught by non-using estafet strategy. Based on the result of this research, the writers concluded that estafet strategy upgrades the students’ writing.

The objective of the research is to find out whether or not video blog can improve the speaking ability of the students of English Education Department of FTK UINAM in academic year 2017/2018.  The researcher applied pre-experimental method, with one group pretest and posttest design which employed speaking test to find out the students’ speaking performance in terms of accuracy. The sample consisted of 20 students used purposive sampling technique taken from the population of the second semester students of Sulawesi Flight. The result of the data analysis indicated that there was significant difference of students’ speaking performance before and after being trained through video blog. It is proved by result of statistical analysis of the level significance 0.05 with degree of freedom (df) =  N-1 = 20-1 = 19 which indicated that t-test value of final score I speaking ability (13.309) was greater than t-table (2.093). Therefore, video blog can improve speaking performance of the students.

In the present research an attempt was made to study the relationship between loneliness and depression among old aged people. The study was carried on by formulating hypotheses that (a)-There would be significant difference between loneliness and depression level of old aged people (b)-There would be positive correlation between loneliness and depression. For empirical verification of these two hypotheses a study was conducted on 60 old aged people of Patna and its neighboring places, by employing incidental-cum-purposive sampling technique. Their age ranged from 60 to 75 years. The UCLA Loneliness Scale was used for measuring loneliness. In order to check the level of depression in old aged people, Hindi adaptation of Beck’s Depression Inventory was applied. For the analysis of the obtained scores t-ratio and co-efficient of correlation were computed. The result confirmed all the hypotheses. The findings on the whole indicated that there is significant difference between loneliness and depression level of old aged people. Positive correlation between loneliness and depression level was also observed by the researcher. The findings of the present research reveal that loneliness plays an important role in determining depression among old aged people. Depression level can be reduced by reducing loneliness among old aged people.
