Background: Acceptance has become one of the most widely studied processes regarding chronic pain because of its ability to influence participants' adaptation and coping responses. Leading researchers have found relationships between variables such as anxiety, reinforcement sensitivity, and the responses of the participants' environment to their behavior and acceptance. In contrast, few studies have been found that investigate the variables that predict the acceptance of pain. This study has set out to explore the relationships between pain-related anxiety, sensitivity to contingencies, and the punishment responses of significant people toward pain behaviors regarding pain acceptance. Methods: With a view to fulfilling this purpose, a cohort of 62 participants with rheumatoid arthritis was chosen, and the subjects were assessed through the following self-report measures: Chronic Pain Acceptance Questionnaire, CPAQ; Pain Anxiety Symptoms Scale, PASS-20; The Sensitivity to Punishment and Sensitivity to Reward Questionnaire, SPSRQ, and The West Haven-Yale Multidimensional Pain Inventory, WHYMPI. The study's initial objectives were achieved by means of a stepwise multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The linear regression analyses revealed a negative and significant correlation between anxiety, reinforcement sensitivity, and the significant persons' responses to pain behaviors and pain acceptance. Conclusion: The results suggest that the identification of these variables might be important for addressing these participants' pain. Finally, the discussion focuses on our findings' implications as regards their use in clinical practice.

Objectives: This study aimed to provide reliable information on the impact of low-dose glucocorticoids (GCs) on the bone mineral density (BMD) of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 933 patients with RA who continued the consumption of GCs (GC group) and 100 patients who had discontinued consumption for >1 year (no-GC group). The BMD values were measured at baseline and follow-up, and the annual rate of change in BMD between the groups was compared using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. We used multiple linear regression analysis to identify the factors associated with changes in BMD. Results: The demographic characteristics and use of medical treatments affecting bone metabolism were similar between the two groups. Furthermore, there were no significant differences in the annual rate of changes in BMD and incidence of newly developed osteoporosis and incidental fractures between the two groups. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that the disease activity score for 28 joints with erythrocyte sedimentation rate was the only factor affecting the annual rate of changes in BMD, and it was inversely proportional to changes in BMD. Conclusion: The benefits of GC therapy in attenuating inflammation compensate for the risk of osteoporosis if adequate measures to prevent bone loss are implemented in patients with RA.

Introduction. Many of our rheumatic patients report that weather and seasons affect their symptoms. Objective. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of meteorological parameters within seasons on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) symptoms. Methods. A retrospective longitudinal study from July 2017 to August 2018 was conducted. Data from three consultations for three seasons were collected and included a tender and swollen joint count, a disease activity score for 28 joints (DAS28), and patient’s pain assessment from their computerized medical record. The weather conditions (minimum and maximum temperature, precipitation, humidity, atmospheric pressure, and wind speed) registered during the same day of consultation for each patient were obtained. Then, the statistical correlation between each meteorological parameter and RA parameters was determined using the multiple linear regression analysis. Results. The data of 117 patients with a mean age of 50.45 ± 12.17 years were analyzed. The mean DAS28 at baseline was 2.44 ± 0.95. The winter in Oujda is cold (average temperature between 10°C and15°C) compared to summer (24.5°C–32.7°C). The spring is wetter with a 71% average humidity. Overall, the tender joint count was significantly correlated with hygrometry (p=0.027) in winter. A similar result was obtained in summer with precipitation (p=0.003). The pain intensity in the summer was negatively correlated with minimum temperatures and atmospheric pressure. However, there was no correlation between meteorological parameters and disease objective parameters for all seasons. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that weather parameters appeared to explain the variability in four RA predictors in the summer. No significant associations were observed in the spring. Conclusion. Our study supported the physicians’ assumption regarding the effect of climate on pain in RA patients.

The study aims to analyze the influence of internal banking factors in the form of: Capital Adequency Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) and Total Assets (TA) to Non Performing Financing at Sharia Banks. This research method used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 16.00 software which is used to see the influence between the independent variables in the form of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) and Total Assets (TA) to Non Performing Financing. The sample of this study was 3 Islamic Commercial Banks, so there were 36 annual reports obtained through purposive sampling, then analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The results showed that based on the F Test, the independent variable had an effect on the NPF, indicated by the F value of 17,016 and significance of 0,000, overall the independent variable was able to explain the effect of 69.60%. While based on the partial t test, showed that CAR has a significant negative effect, Total assets have a significant positive effect with a significance value below 0.05 (5%). Meanwhile FDR does not affect NPF.

This study aims to determine the effect of Inflation, Exchange Rate and Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) to Return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia Stock Fund period 2014-2017. The study used secondary data obtained through documentation in the form of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia Monthly Net Asset (NAB) report. Data analysis is used with quantitative analysis, multiple linear regression analysis using eviews 9. Population and sample in this research are PT Nikko Securities Indonesia. The result of multiple linear regression analysis was the coefficient of determination (R2) showed the result of 0.123819 or 12%. This means that the Inflation, Exchange Rate and Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) variables can influence the return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia's equity fund of 12% and 88% is influenced by other variables. Based on the result of the research, the variables of inflation and exchange rate have a negative and significant effect toward the return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia's equity fund. While the variable of Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) has a negative but not significant effect toward Return of Equity Fund of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia

The increase in tax revenue in Indonesia is not accompanied by an increase in tax ratio The low tax ratioindicatestax avoidance practices in Indonesia. Some tax avoidance practices can be conductedthrough transferpricing and thin capitalization. This study is aimed to examine empirically the effect of thin capitalization as well astransfer pricing aggressiveness on tax avoidance practice in Indonesia. This study uses manufacturing companieswhich are listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) within the period 2013-2015. Using purposive sampling, theselected samples in this study are 90 companies, so the total sample is 270 samples. The hypothesis examinationused in this study is multiple linear regression analysis of panel data. The results of this study suggest that thincapitalization is positively associated with tax avoidance, while transfer pricing aggressivenessis not associated withtax avoidance.
