Diet, as a modifiable factor for good health maintenance, reduces the risk of numerous non-communicable chronic diseases and prevents premature death. The aim of the study was to examine the prevalence of a dietary behavior and to find out what the determinants of diet quality among the low socio-economic status population are. The studied sample consisted of 1710 respondents. Only 3% of the beneficiaries had healthy dietary habits. Unhealthy dietary habits dominated in all the study group regardless of the subjects’ level of education (p < 0.001). Higher odds of unhealthy dietary habits were reported among the respondents with primary, vocational, and secondary education than among the respondents with high education (for the primary education OR = 11.10; 95% CI: 5.86–21.01; p ≤ 0.001; for vocational education OR = 10.54; 95% CI: 5.79–19.18; p ≤ 0.001 and for secondary education OR = 5.83; 95% CI: 3.48–9.79; p ≤ 0.001). The unhealthy dietary behavior prevalence among beneficiaries of government welfare assistance in Poland is much higher than in the general population. Since only educational level is a determinant which is significantly correlated with the unhealthy dietary behavior, promotion of a healthy diet among disadvantaged individuals should be focused on this factor.

Ayurveda the science of healthy living deals with physical, mental and spiritual components of health. Ayurveda considered Ahara, Nidra and Brahmacarya as important parts of life for achieving goal of Swasthavritta. Nidra is a state of complete physical and mental relaxation of body which play vital role towards the good health status. There are some factors which may disturb physiology of Nidra leading to condition of sleeplessness/insomnia (Anidra). Anidra is abnormal physiological condition which greatly affects quality of life and this problem increasing day by day due to the enhanced level of stress, diversified environmental condition, disturb pattern of life style and bad dietary habits. It is very important for physician society to put focus attention to reduces prevalence of this issue. Ayurveda mentioned different therapeutic approaches for the management condition of insomnia including use of natural herbs, formulation, Shodhna Chikitsa and good conduction of Ahara-Vihara. ABSTRACTBackground: Health maintenance practices are those activities that preserve a person’s current state of health and that prevents future diseases or injuries from occurring. Nurses represent an important part of the hospital workforce and serve as role models when caring for patients. A healthy nurse can deliver quality care to the patients to the optimal level. However, there are no studies that explored the health maintenance practices among nurses, here in Nepal. This study was therefore conducted to assess the health maintenancepractices among nurses. Materials and Methods: A total of 197 out of 208 nurses from Nepal MedicalCollege Teaching Hospital (NMCTH) were enrolled in the study using purposive sampling method. Pretested questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. SPSS version 16 was applied for data entry and analysis. Descriptive statistics (Percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation) were used for data analysis. Results: Among 208 nurses only 197 responded yielding a response rate of 94.7%. The findings suggest that nurses did not have a good screening, dietary, exercise and vaccination practices. Lack of time, work overload, psychological stress from work were the main barriers pointed out by the nurses that hinder them to maintain their health status. Conclusion: Nurses did not have good health maintenance practices which could directly influence on the quality of care they provided. Thus it is very necessary to initiate program that promotes health of nurses.Keywords: health maintenance practice; Nepal; nurses; self care.

Secondary education occupies a unique position in the educational system of Nigeria. This level of education is the intermediary between the primary level of education and tertiary levels of education. Due to the unique position of this level of education in Nigerian Educational System, the National Policy of Education (2014), states that the broad goals of secondary education shall be to prepare individual for useful living within the society and higher education. It would be realized that the extent to which these goals can be actualized will depend on the quality of education provided in the secondary school. School supervision and inspection are carried out as an instrument for maintaining standards and quality control, so that the school system can be put on the right track in the course of achieving its goal. This paper, therefore, examines school supervision and inspection as veritable tools for ensuring quality control in selected secondary schools in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The research instrument designed for the study was a questionnaire tagged School supervision and inspection and quality control in secondary schools (SSIQCSS). The population of the study comprises teachers in Ekiti State. A total of 100 teachers were purposely selected, this formed the sample of the study. Findings revealed that supervision and inspection served as a measure for quality control in our secondary schools, school Principals also embarked on regular routine school inspection, also, routine inspection carried out by school inspectors serve as a means to maintain quality control in secondary schools in Ekiti State. Thus, based on the findings of the study, the need to embark upon more modern techniques of supervision and inspection to improve the quality of education in secondary schools was recommended. The educational system must be adequately funded so that there would be high level of quality and efficiency. Modern techniques of supervision should be adopted or replaced with old ones. Finally, there is the need for collaborative efforts on the part of all education stakeholders to devise more quality control measures that can save the educational system from total collapse. Ayurvedic texts explains various fundamental principles aimed at preventing occurrences of diseases and to promote a healthy life, for these prevention aspects  Dincharya is used to the adoptive daily routine by people which can improve the quality of life and maintenance of good health. Dincharya; Din means daily and charya mean activity or regimen is necessary for maintaining a healthy body, mind, spirit which is useful to establish the balanced constitution, aid in digestion and absorption, leads to peace, happiness.

Abstract Introduction. The aim of the study was to determine the quality of life of students of a University of the Third Age (U3A) and examine its correlations with demographic variables, physical fitness, perception ability, and emotional well-being. Material and methods. The study involved 116 women aged 50 to 88 years who participated in U3A classes held at the University of Physical Education in Warsaw. Quality of life was assessed using an abridged version of the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. Additionally the Fullerton Functional Fitness Test, a dynamometer hand grip strength test, and Romberg’s test were performed. The Attention and Perceptiveness Test (version 6/9) by Ciechanowicz and Stańczak, the UMACL Mood Adjective Checklist by Matthews, Chamberlain, and Jones, as well as the Geriatric Depression Scale by Yesavage were also used. Finally, data concerning age, marital status, economic status, chronic diseases, and medication use was collected with a specially designed questionnaire. Results. The U3A students who took part in the study perceived their quality of life as relatively high. The domain of quality of life which was found to be the most strongly correlated with demographic variables was the psychological health domain: scores in this domain decreased with the subjects’ age and increased with their level of education and economic status. Health satisfaction was directly proportional to economic status and inversely proportional to the level of education. Depression scores correlated significantly negatively with quality of life scores in all domains, the overall perception of quality of life, and health satisfaction, as well as predicting quality of life in the domains of psychological health and the environment. The predictors of the subjects’ perceived quality of life were the following: lower body strength, agility, flexibility, and aerobic endurance. Conclusions. The findings of the study confirm that demographic variables (age, education, and economic status), depression and mood, as well as physical fitness are important predictors of quality of life in women in late adulthood.

This article reports on the experience of co-designing an educational video game aimed at promoting good dietary habits in youngsters and fostering Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). To ensure the quality of the results, we developed a methodology under a social innovation paradigm that enabled the co-creation of the game. The methodology was driven by a series of three workshops, during which we adopted several different gamification strategies to support a Participatory Design (PD) process with the stakeholders, a group of local pre-teen and teen girls at social risk (N = 22). Captured requirements materialized into intermediate prototype evaluations that motivated a progressive refinement of the game.

The article considers the role of trust in the economy, the mechanisms of its accumulation and the possibility of using it as one of the growth factors in the future. The advantages and disadvantages of measuring the level of generalized trust using two alternative questions — about trusting people in general and trusting strangers — are analyzed. The results of the analysis of dynamics of the level of generalized trust among Russian youth, obtained within the study of the Institute for National Projects in 10 regions of Russia, are presented. It is shown that there are no significant changes in trust in people in general during the study at university. At the same time, the level of trust in strangers falls, which can negatively affect the level of trust in the country as a whole, and as a result have negative effects on the development of the economy in the future. Possible causes of the observed trends and the role of universities are discussed. Also the question about the connection between the level of education and generalized trust in countries with different quality of the institutional environment is raised.

The contribution of universities to economic structure, social and physical insfrastructure, the quality of life and city, and the level of education cannot be regarded. Therefore, it should be provided that university campuses should be areas which reflect city image with their physical structures. In this regard, the effective administration, usage, and development of universities, and the coordination between the units of universities should also be provided. One of the most significant elements of this coordination and cooperation is on campus transportation. One of the main purposes of the thesis is to evaluate inner campus transportation which is the sub-unit of city transportation. Other purposes are to determine the reasons of the perception of the users in reference to their demographic features on campus transportation and the reasons of their preferences of a particular transportation option. A survey study has been conducted in order to measure inner campus transportation perceptions. In this regard, 1112 questionnaire forms have been analysed by the software programme of SPSS. Expression analysis of the reliability, frequency distribution and factors are obtained, and differences were identified by ANOVA and T-TEST analysis.

Vocational schools (SMK) is a secondary education that preparesstudents primarily for working on a particular field. It shows comparative indices of Ukraine in contrast to the other countries of these world ratings according to the “Quality of primary education”, “Penetration of primary education”, “Penetration of secondary education”, “Quality of secondary education”, “Quality of education in Sciences”, “Quality of school management”, “School access to the internet” and others. The article also defines strategic directions of reforming Ukrainian education system to improve its position in the world international ratings.
