The current difficult situation in the world caused by the spread of the COVID-19 virus has led to the development of problems in many branches of the economy. However, it has significantly affected transport, which on the one hand, is the bloodstream of the economy and, on the other hand, creates a threat for virus infection. Thus, in various countries, different mobility-related restrictions during pandemic policies around the world have been introduced. What is more, plans for initiatives after lockdown have also started to appear. Moreover, not have only cities introduced appropriate management policies, but companies have also started providing logistics services, especially those offering new mobility solutions. We found a literature and research gap indicating the recording or combination of the different types of business practices and innovations used worldwide in new mobility companies in the case of a pandemic situation. Therefore, this article is dedicated to the business innovations that appear in the new mobility industry during the COVID-19 pandemic in connection to post-pandemic transportation plans in Asia, Europe, and America. In this work, we conducted two-level research based on the desk research and expert research methodologies. From the business point of view, the results show that car-sharing systems (most organizational practices) and ride-sharing services (most safety practices) have most adapted their business models to pandemic changes. In turn, bike-sharing services have implemented the fewest business practices and innovations. From the urban transport systems point of view, the results show that European authorities have proposed the most plans and practice projects for new mobility after the pandemic compared to Asia and America. The obtained results indicate, however, that business practices do not coincide with the authorities’ plans for transport after the pandemic. Moreover, the results show a lack of complementarity between the developed practices and a reluctance to create open innovations in the new mobility industry. The article supports the management of new mobility systems in times of pandemic and in post-COVID reality.

Dreyfus argues that there is a basic methodological difference between the natural sciences and the social sciences, a difference that derives from the different goals and practices of each. He goes on to argue that being a realist about natural entities is compatible with pluralism or, as he calls it, “plural realism.” If intelligibility is always grounded in our practices, Dreyfus points out, then there is no point of view from which one can ask about or provide an answer to the one true nature of ultimate reality. But that is consistent with believing that the natural sciences can still reveal the way the world is independent of our theories and practices.

Although no estimate of the aggregate length of granite rock coasts around the world is available, they surely make up quite a significant proportion of the total, especially around the Fennoscandian and Canadian Shield (Bird and Schwartz, 1985). However, in contrast to the vast amount of literature about inland granite landforms, granite coastal scenery has attracted significantly less attention, in spite of the fact that some of the most spectacular coastal landscapes are supported by granite (Plate 6.1). Detailed studies of granite coastal geomorphology are surprisingly few, although the structural adjustment of the coastline in plan at the regional scale is a recurrent observation (Bird and Schwartz, 1985). One probable reason for this discrepancy between the length of granite coasts, their scenic values, and scientific knowledge are the low rates of geomorphic change expected along them. Therefore they are poor candidates for any process-oriented studies, which dominate contemporary coastal geomorphology. It is probably because of this scarcity of information that contrasting opinions have been expressed about the specifics of granite coasts. Whereas Twidale (1982: 2) asserts that: ‘In coastal contexts, too, the gross assemblage of forms is due to the processes operating there and not to properties peculiar to granites. . . . Orthogonal fracture sets also find marked expression but, with few exceptions, granite coasts are much the same as most others’; Trenhaile (1987: 173) goes on to say: ‘Igneous coasts are usually quite different from other rock coasts’. On the one hand, many granite coasts consist of an all-too-familiar assemblage of cliffs, coves, joint-aligned inlets, stacks, and sea arches. From this point of view, no components of coastal morphology are likely to be demonstrated to be unique to granite. But this is also true for granite landforms in general, as was indicated in the introduction to this book. On the other hand, there seems to be enough observational material to claim that certain granite coastal landforms have developed specific characteristics, different from those supported by other rocks, as well as that there exist certain very specific sections of granite coasts which hardly have parallels in other lithologies.

AbstractIn this paper I offer a new interpretation of Melissus' argument at DK 30 B8.In this passage Melissus uses an Eleatic argument against change to challenge an opponent who appeals to the authority of perception in order to support the view that there are a plurality of items in the world. I identify an orthodox type of approach to this passage, but argue that it cannot give a charitable interpretation of Melissus' strategy. In order to assess Melissus' overall argument we have to identify the opponent at whom it is aimed. The orthodox interpretation of the argument faces a dilemma: Melissus' argument is either a poor argument against a plausible opponent or a good argument against an implausible opponent.My interpretation turns on identifying a new target for Melissus' argument. I explain the position I call Bluff Realism (contrasting it with two other views: the Pig Headed and the Fully Engaged). These are positions concerning the dialectical relation between perception on the one hand, and arguments to counter-perceptual conclusions on the other. I argue that Bluff Realism represents a serious threat from an Eleatic point of view, and is prima facie an attractive position in its own right.I then give a charitable interpretation of Melissus' argument in DK 30 B8, showing how he produces a strong and incisive argument against the Bluff Realist position I have identified. Melissus emerges as an innovative and astute philosopher.

This useful infrastructure development has been spread around nine regional host cities as well as Moscow and St Petersburg. Impacts The World Cup is unlikely to affect Russia's key adversarial relationships either way. Within the former Soviet region, Russia has gained additional prestige for hosting the World Cup. The absence of football violence will count as a success for Russian policing.

This paper deals with the private archival material created/owned by a natural person, not a private legal entity. We attempted to ponder the problem of appraising private archives within archival practice from several angles, but also the one of appraising private records in historiography. We analysed mutual relationship between archival and historiographic appraisal of private archives and their influences in that process (both positive and negative ones) from the point of view of both areas. Mutual correlation in the appraisal process is presented through an example of a thematic archival exhibition. This exhibition is about an important international historic event, Rebellion of the Austro-Hungarian sailors on board warships based in Boka Kotorska Bay (presently the territory of Montenegro) that happened 100 years ago, at the very end of the World War I. The exhibited documents were selected from among the corpus of private archives and collections. We believe that an archival and museum exhibition of this kind, organized in Kotor Historical Archives, can be the best way to drew attention of scientists and general public on the importance of identifying, collecting, keeping and consulting (using) private archival records.

The economic crisis being overcome by the Russian economy, on the one hand, combined with the inevitable globalisation processes, on the other hand, brings to the forefront the economic efficiency of technical processes associated with environmental safety and the possibility of introduction into the world system. One example of effective use of innovative technologies in the interaction of transport systems in the world is the piggyback transportation. Aim: The author has conducted the analysis of international experience of the organisation of the piggyback transportation in order to identify technological solutions suitable for efficient use in the Russian market of intermodal transportation. Methods: To assess the efficiency of different technological systems, the author uses comparative analysis methods, inductive reasoning, system approach method. The author has also synthesised the world experience in the organisation of the piggyback transportation. Result: The results of the analysis have revealed that the current economic situation in Russia allows the evaluation of innovative transport systems in the first place in terms of the possibility of rapid return, which draws attention to the most economical technologies. In this regard, the use of the rolling highway and Lift-on – Lift-off (Lo-Lo) piggyback systems seems to be the most rational at this stage. Conclusion: Since 1990s Russia has made a number of attempts to organise regular piggyback service on certain routes. However, due to the lack of demand for this type of services in the Russian market at the moment, investing in the development of piggyback technology involves high risks. The experience of other countries shows that regardless of the chosen technology, stimulating the demand for innovative "green technologies" is not possible without the participation of governmental bodies. At the same time, the creation of the necessary methodological framework for the organisation of piggyback transportation in Russia is possible by virtue studying the multifaceted world practice of piggyback technology operation in the world.

Vehicle-sharing systems—such as bike-, car-, or motorcycle-sharing systems—have become increasingly popular in big cities in recent years. On the one hand, they provide a cheaper and environmentally friendlier means of transportation than private cars, and on the other hand, they satisfy the individual mobility demands of citizens better than traditional public transport systems. One of their advantages in this regard is their availability, e.g., the possibility of taking (or leaving) a vehicle almost anywhere in a city. This availability obviously depends on different strategic and operational management decisions and policies, such as the dimension of the fleet or the (re)distribution of vehicles. Agglutination problems—where, due to usage patterns, available vehicles are concentrated in certain areas, whereas no vehicles are available in others—are quite common in such systems, and need to be dealt with. Research has been dedicated to this problem, specifying different techniques to reduce imbalanced situations. In this paper, we present and compare strategies for recommending stations to users who wish to rent or return bikes in station-based bike-sharing systems. Our first contribution is a novel recommendation strategy based on queuing theory that recommends stations based on their utility to the user in terms of lower distance and higher probability of finding a bike or slot. Then, we go one step further, defining a strategy that recommends stations by combining the utility of a particular user with the utility of the global system, measured in terms of the improvement in the distribution of bikes and slots with respect to the expected future demand, with the aim of implicitly avoiding or alleviating balancing problems. We present several experiments to evaluate our proposal with real data from the bike sharing system BiciMAD in Madrid.

Formålet med artiklen er at tilbyde en teoretisk og konceptuel ramme for forskning i uretfærdighedssymboler og sociale bevægelser. Uretfærdighedssymboler forstås som symboler, der for et kollektiv kondenserer og udstiller en generel uretfærdig tilstand i samfundet/verden. Studiet af uretfærdighedssymboler fremstår underbelyst i den politiske sociologi. Artiklen arbejder i to spor. På den ene side argumenteres det, at den nuværende samfundstype med globale kommunikationsstrømme og nye medieteknologier promoverer betydningen af uretfærdighedssymboler i de sociale bevægelsers aktiviteter. På den anden side pointeres det, at relationen mellem symboler og sociale bevægelser på ingen måde er historisk ny. Tværtimod er grundpåstanden, ikke mindst inspireret af den sene Durkheim, at symboler er et grundlæggende element i reproduktionen af menneskelige samfund. En udforskning af dynamikken mellem uretfærdighedssymboler og sociale bevægelser er sociologisk interessant af to grunde. For det første er uretfærdighedssymboler resultatet af politiske menings- og værdiprocesser, hvor kollektive aktører tillægger begivenheder, personer og andre objekter en universaliserende betydning. For det andet indgår uretfærdighedssymboler som en del af vores kollektive erindring og optræder derfor som idemæssige ressourcer, der kan mobiliseres uden for deres rumlige og tidslige forankring. Sociale bevægelser har med andre ord en social og politisk dobbeltrolle, hvor de både er skabere og ”forbrugere” af symboler. ENGELSK ABSTRACT: Thomas Olesen: Injustice Symbols and Social Movements The purpose of the article is to offer a theoretical and conceptual framework for research on injustice symbols and social movements. Injustice symbols are understood as symbols that condense and expose an overall unjust situation in society/the world. The study of these symbols appears somewhat neglected in political sociology. The article pursues two tracks. On the one hand, it argues that the present type of society with global currents of communication and new media technologies is promoting the significance of injustice symbols in the activities of social movements. On the other hand, it stresses that the relation between these symbols and social movements is by no means historically new. On the contrary, not least inspired by Durkheim, the basic argument is that symbols constitute a fundamental element in the reproduction of human societies. An investigation into the dynamics between injustice symbols and social movements is interesting from a sociological point of view for two reasons. First, injustice symbols are the result of political opinion- and value processes whereby collective actors ascribe a universalizing meaning to events, individuals and other objects. Second, these symbols form part of our collective memory. Consequently, they act as ideational resources that can be mobilized outside their spatial and time-related framework. In sum, social movements have a social and political double role where they are both creators and users of symbols. Keywords: social movements, symbols, new media ecology, Durkheim, injustice.

 The article examines strategic approaches to the analysis of external and internal factors of the business concept, which makes it possible to formulate further tactical and strategic goals, as well as adjust the initial vision, balance it with specific existing facts in conditions of high uncertainty. The comparative analysis of external and internal factors of classical business models is carried out. The advantages and disadvantages of the selected methods of business modeling of innovative development are determined. The qualitative analysis of such business models as SNW-analysis, SWOT-analysis, and MCC matrix is ​​considered, carried out. The assessment of the methodology from the point of view of optimization of implementation in the conditions of innovation space of “VUCA world” – the world without landmarks. It is emphasized that according to the requirements of the world of VUCA, SWOT-analysis and MCC matrix can be called more universal. SNW-analysis should be considered as a deep and detailed study of the results of SWOT-analysis.

The importance of implementing the concept of integrated processing of mineral resources is understood by both the state and the scientific and business communities. However, the practical implementation of the concept has not yet been properly reflected in economic activity, which is determined by a number of factors, one of which is the lack of elaboration of the issue of business models and mechanisms for their implementation in modern conditions of economic development. The economic system today is characterized by many different forms and types of manifestation of entrepreneurial activity by economic entities. Determining the optimal, balanced interaction of all economic agents of the system, providing a solution to the problem of complex processing of mineral resources, is considered in this article from the point of view of analyzing the possibilities of implementing business models corresponding to the specifics of entrepreneurial activity in the regional economic system based on an algorithm developed during previous studies, on the one hand, and existing technologies for processing mineral raw materials on the other. As an example for the analysis, the Khibinsky deposit of apatite-nepheline ores of the Murmansk region was selected, which in distinguished by a variety of valuable components and a complex material composition. The result of the work was the clarification of the proposed concepts of business activity management in the Murmansk region in the form of a description of possible business models for building a mining and processing complex; the development of a mechanism for its operation based on a network interaction agreement, as a new format of contractual relations in the mining and chemical industry, which differs from standard civil contracts; and an assessment of the prospects for the implementation of such production, ensuring the complexity of the use of raw materials when involved in processing, in addition to apatite, nepheline, sphene and titanium-magnetic concentrates.
