When studying human society, Karl Marx affirmed that all changes in social life, in the end, originate from the transformation of the productive forces. The development of productive forces is expressed through the conquest of the nature of men. Productive forces reflect the actual capability of men in the process of creating wealth for society and ensuring human development. In any society, in order to create wealth, both workers and means of production are needed. Without instruments for the labor process, men cannot create wealth. That development provides us with more convincing practical evidence to continue affirming Karl Marx’s precise view of the productive forces, and at the same time requires us to supplement and develop his view on this issue inconsistent with reality. In the current context of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, it is essential to clarify all the practical capabilities used in the production process of the society over the world’s development periods to promote social development. Therefore, this article clarifies the basic arguments to analyze Karl Marx’s view on the productive forces and see the need to refresh and supplement Karl Marx’s theory in the current situation.

The fourth industrial revolution of human society is also known as the “world’s new technological revolution,” which has brought human society into the information age and has had an extremely important impact on economic development and educational reform. The strong development of science and technology, especially the outstanding achievements in the recent fourth industrial revolution, has created many changes in the fields of social life. Especially in the fields of military in general, combat activities in particular, the application of scientific and technological achievements to improve the effectiveness of commanders and staffs contributing to creating breakthroughs in construction, regular, modern and elite armies of all countries' army. Recently, the use of UAVs, the quintessential product of science and technology, has brought a lot of effectiveness in modern combat operations, especially in reconnaissance and targeting targets in difficult combat conditions. From that common trend, the article generalized the history, discussed and posed a number of characteristics of requirements and design for UAVs to meet the new requirements of modern warfare.

Discussions on the impact and future directions of technology often proceed from an empirical point of view that seems to presume that the ebb and flow of technological developments is beyond the control of humankind, so that all that humanity can do is adjust to it. However, such an approach easily neglects several crucial normative considerations that could enhance the standing of individual human beings and whole communities as rational users of technology rather than its slaves. Besides, more often than not, technological products are designed in ways that neglect the needs of persons with disabilities, thereby perpetuating their exclusion from society. Consequently, this article proposes four normative considerations to guide the initiatives of African societies in their deployment of the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, namely, inclusiveness to meet the needs of all human beings, affordability to bridge the digital divide, respect for cultural identity to guard against cultural imperialism, and an ethical orientation as the over-arching guide to building a truly human society.

Summary The socio-economic approach to the study of main economic systems. Socialism and capitalism. Part 1. Society is explored with the help of various approaches and methods that allow us to analyze the economy, politics, culture and society. Society as a socio-economic system can be effectively studied from the standpoint of the socio-economic approach, which is implemented within the framework of the formational approach. It was formerly used e.g. by Daniel Bell, John Kenneth Galbraith, Karl Marx, Leonid Weger, Yoshihiro Francis Fukuyama, Erik Olin Wright, and Immanuel Maurice Wallerstein. Formational approach allows us to analyze the global social and economic systems of the 20th century: capitalism and socialism. From the standpoint of this approach, the main difference between capitalism and socialism is the presence or absence of private ownership of the means of production. This feature has an impact on all aspects of social life in these systems. During the existence of these global systems, we have accumulated a rich experience of development in all areas of social life, which is analyzed in this article. The proposed article considers the positive and negative aspects of the development of capitalism and socialism. The directions of development of social and economic systems towards new form of capitalism are described and analyzed.

The digital economy is a new economic era and social form of human society after the industrial revolution and information economy. It creates the free time and free activities needed for human development, provides an exploratory plan for the modern society to move toward the sharing economy, and brings many development relations issues that we need to face and examine objectively. This work analyzes how the so-called Industry 4.0 technologies are being implemented in companies in the Region of Murcia, in Southeastern Spain. The objective was to determine through questionnaires and face-to-face interviews the current state of 4.0 technologies in Murcia, including additional data of the companies, such as age, number of employees and turnover. Most types of companies in the Region were represented in terms of size, age, turnover, profits and profitability. This study analyzes the relationship between the degree of implementation of 4.0 technologies, investment and training of workers, with companies’ seniority, number of employees, turnover, profits and profitability. The results obtained are significantly higher in companies with higher turnover, profits and profitability, which in turn, have the best levels of investment and training of their workers in 4.0 technologies. The opinions of the companies determined the factors that drove the companies to implement these technologies, the factors perceived as barriers, the opportunities in the current context that encourage the adoption of technologies, as well as the threats that may jeopardize their progress in digital transformation. The conclusions obtained can be taken into account in regional policies that implement appropriate actions to help drive the fourth industrial revolution in the region.

The rapid industrial and technological development of the last years has transformed the human society to its current form of knowledge and globalization. As a result, the formal education is nowadays faced with the big challenge of preparing students for a new way of life in the forthcoming fourth industrial revolution. This new revolution could be characterized as the era of the internet of things and energy and of the cyber-physical systems. The present chapter focuses on the role that computers and artificial intelligence could play in future education and the risks hiding behind this perspective. It is concluded that it is rather impossible that computers and the other “clever” machines of artificial intelligence will reach to the point of replacing teachers for educating students in future, because all these devices have been created and programmed by humans and therefore it is logical to accept that they will never succeed to reach the quality of human reasoning. However, it is certain that the role of the teacher will be dramatically changed in the future classrooms.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has astonishing potential to solve many of humanity’s problems, but it has also brought about an array of new threats. The challenge is to find a way to mitigate the negatives of the Revolution without impairing the extraordinary potential of AI to accelerate all areas of human development. AI ethics offers a possible basis for doing so by providing a set of aspirational ideals as to the role of AI, rather than a minimum standard for compliance which is likely to become increasingly irrelevant. Throughout history, humans have adapted and adjusted to the technologies of the time and though the integration of AI into all human experience and decision-making will come to be seen as normal and taken for granted, there will still be a number of profound ethical choices that must be made. Implementing ethical AI will require a multi-modal and co-regulatory approach. There are a variety of existing approaches but some common principles have emerged. These provide a framework for action.
