One technique that can be applied to increase assertiveness is assertiveness training. This study aims to determine the effect of assertive training techniques to increase assertiveness on sexual behavior in dating by using a pre-experimental approach with pre-test and post-test Control Group Design as well as non-probability sampling techniques and then analyzed by bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results of the independent sample t test for the level of assertiveness showed that the value of p = 0.001 with a test value of t = 7.394, which means that there is an effect of assertive technique training on the assertiveness level of adolescents in sexual behavior. The mean value in the provision of assertive technique training is known to be 4.09 and the mean value to the control is 0.36, this means that there is a change in the value of the assertiveness level of assertiveness towards sexual behavior in dating.

Background: Diroximel fumarate (DRF) is a novel oral fumarate approved for relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). DRF demonstrated significantly improved gastrointestinal (GI) tolerability versus dimethyl fumarate (DMF) with fewer days of Individual Gastrointestinal Symptom and Impact Scale (IGISIS) scores ⩾2, GI adverse events (AEs), and treatment discontinuations due to GI AEs. Our aim was to evaluate the impact of GI tolerability events on quality of life (QoL) for patients with relapsing–remitting MS who received DRF or DMF in EVOLVE-MS-2. Methods: A post hoc analysis was conducted in patients who were enrolled in the randomized, blinded, 5-week, EVOLVE-MS-2 [ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT03093324] study of DRF versus DMF. Patients completed daily IGISIS and Global GISIS (GGISIS) eDiary questionnaires to assess GI symptom intensity and interference with daily activities and work. Results: In total, 504 patients (DRF, n = 253; DMF, n = 251) received study drug and 502 (DRF, n = 253; DMF, n = 249) completed at least one post-baseline questionnaire. With DRF, GI symptoms were less likely to interfere ‘quite a bit’ or ‘extremely’ with regular daily activities [IGISIS: DRF, 9.5% (24/253) versus DMF, 28.9% (72/249)] or work productivity [GGISIS: DRF, 6.1% (10/165) versus DMF, 11.3% (18/159)]. DRF-treated patients had fewer days with ⩾1 h of missed work (DRF, 43 days, n = 20 versus DMF, 88 days, n = 26). DMF-treated patients reported highest GI symptom severity and missed work at week 2–3 shortly after completing the titration period, which coincided with the majority of GI-related treatment discontinuations [58.3% (7/12)]. GI tolerability AEs [DRF, 34.8% (88/253); DMF, 48.2% (121/251)], concomitant symptomatic medication use [DRF, 19.3% (17/88) versus DMF, 30.6% (37/121)], and GI-related discontinuations (DRF, 0.8% versus DMF, 4.8%) were lower with DRF versus DMF. Conclusions: The improved GI tolerability with DRF translated into clinically meaningful benefits to QoL, as patients experienced less impact on daily life and work and required less concomitant symptomatic medication use. Trial registration: [ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT03093324]

Emotional intelligence plays a critical role in adolescence since it involves a change towards psychological, social, and sexual maturity; a stage in which the foundations of intimate social relationships are established. Emotional competences regulate the quality of these relationships in adolescence and can provide protection against or facilitate the use of violence within them. Based on the above, this study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and violence exercised, received, and perceived by adolescents in dating relationships. A sample of 254 subjects (43.1% men and 56.9% women) between 12 and 18 years old was analyzed through the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaires of BarOn ICE:NA and Violence Exercised Perceived and Received by Adolescents VERA. The results of the research have shown that there is a significant and inverse relation between the dimensions of emotional intelligence and the violence exercised by adolescents in their dating relationships, and a positive and significant relation between emotional intelligence and the perception of violent behavior. For this reason, the importance of educating people about emotional intelligence from childhood within both the academic and family sphere is highlighted. This is fundamental to preventing the appearance of such violent behaviors and promoting an adequate adaptation to the environment.

At present, we have enough tools for quick and accurate assessment of the muscle strength and functional status of a patient with cirrhosis. In recent years, the diagnostic criteria for sarcopenia and frailty are gradually merging into one, primarily for practical reasons. Both of them are equally negative predictors of disease development in hospitalized patients with cirrhosis regardless of the decision on the indication of liver transplantation, but also in patients on the waiting list, and in those after liver transplantation. Sarcopenia and frailty are strong and disease stage-independent predictors of mortality. Undiagnosed and untreated sarcopenia or frailty also increase the risk of falls and fractures, impair the natural ability to perform daily activities, and increase the degree of dependence on others. They are associated with a reduced cognitive function, higher risk of complications, reduced quality of life and prolonged hospitalization. Their early identification will enable the optimization of patient management with the immediate use of nutritional support and pre-habilitation in order to prevent further deterioration of functional status and avoid adverse consequences of the disease.

This paper presents a combined surgical-prosthetic procedure of reconstructing mandibular bone defect in a 53 year old patient, following enucleation of a mandibular cyst (Cystectomy Partsch II). After a thorough diagnostic evaluation, a surgical procedure was planned with the particular attention to the nature of the disease, patient?s condition, size and extension of the cyst, tissue loss, and the possibilities of prosthetic management of a mandibular bone defect with partial postresection dental prosthesis. It is of great importance to point to the significance of teamwork of a maxillofacial surgeon and a specialist in prosthodontics. This kind of cooperation provided very effective and less risky soft tissue, as well as bone tissue regeneration (osteogenesis). The patient?s recovery was fast, and he could return to his daily activities and work without significant changes regarding quality of life after surgery and prosthetic treatment.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought a new life order which is commonly known as a health protocol implementation. Efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic can be made physically or spiritually. Physical efforts are carried out by applying health protocols in a disciplined manner, while spiritual efforts are carried out by increasing the quality of worship of God. These two efforts must be combined with maintaining the quality of worship in health protocols. In this case, the quality of worship can be improved by deepening the understanding and application of Arabic tajwid and grammar in reciting verse and prayer recitations. In addition, it is necessary to practice morning and evening prayers as self-protection and maintain mental stability. To achieve this goal, this team carried out a community service by compiling two pocketbooks. The first one is related to the application of health protocols in daily worship and another pocketbook containing tajwid material and morning prayer, which was equipped with exposure and training on recitation and reading the morning prayer and evening prayers. These exposures are presented in outreach videos and tutorials. The result shows that people are increasingly aware of implementing health protocols in their daily activities, especially in Islamic worship. In addition, the community's mentality has become more robust, and people have become calmer in living their lives during the pandemic since some people have practiced morning and evening prayers. In addition, they also apply tajwid and Arabic grammar in a better way so that their worship activities become much more solemn.

Abstract Background: Talipes equinovarus, also known as clubfoot, is a congenital anomaly that affects one newborn per 1000 live births. Its standard treatment strategy is the Ponseti casting management. This study aims to report the long-term outcomes of the Ponseti treatment in Iran. Methods: A prospective cohort study was enrolled to evaluate clinical outcomes, radiological results, pedobarographic measurements, and quality of life after the Ponseti treatment in patients with clubfoot who were followed for at least five years. Results: In this study, 25 clubfeet of 18 patients were included. Significant reductions in Pirani, Dimeglio, and CAP scores, improved ankle dorsiflexion, and acceptable pedobarographic indices were observed in this study. From the radiological evaluation indices, the calcaneal pitch and lateral talus-first metatarsal angles were significantly reduced. The quality of life of patients after five years of treatment was favorable, which was better in females. This study showed that the results of the Ponseti treatment remained acceptable after five years. Conclusions: The Ponseti management for clubfoot in the long term appears to maintain significant improvements. However, the rate of recurrence – albeit without disruption to daily activities - cannot be ignored.
