This study discusses the comparison of language style in novel Atheist by Achdiat Karta Miharja and novel Telegram by Putu Wijaya. The aims of this study are (1) to describe the embodiment of language styles in novels Atheist and novels Telegram, and (2) to describe the comparison of language styles in novels Atheist and novels Telegram. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The approach used in this research is stylistic approach. Sources of data in this study is a text that contains the style of rhetorical language and figurative style of language. The results show that: (1) the style of language used in the novel Atheist is the style of language; Hyperbole, simile, metaphor, personification, antonomasia, and sarcasm. The style of language found in the novel Telegram namely; Hyperbole, simile, metaphor, personification, antonomasia, and metonimia. Based on the language style found, there are three types of word classes used as word choice in realizing the style of figurative language and style of rhetorical language, namely; Nouns, verbs, and adjectives. (2) The similarity between novels Atheist and novels Telegram is the similarity of hyperbola-style, personification, and antonomasia-forming structures. The difference between the novel Atheist and the novel Telegram lies in the metaphorical style marker which in the novel Atheist is a transitive verb, while in the novel Telegram is a concrete noun.

Sapardi adalah seorang sastrawan yang memiliki nilai keromantisan yang tinggi. Dalam novelnya yang berjudul Hujan Bulan Juni, menggambarkan romantika kesederhanaan mengenai konflik liku-liku kehidupan percintaan yang dialami kedua tokoh yang dibantu tokoh-tokoh lainnya, konflik tersebut dapat diteliti menggunakan gaya bahasa melalui pendekatan stilistika dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui romantika kesederhanaan melalui gaya bahasa dalam novel tersebut serta untuk mengetahui fungsi gaya bahasa yang mengungkapkan keseluruhan maknanya. Novel Hujan Bulan Juni merupakan novel serius, karena menggambarkan perjalanan kehidupan dan percintaan tokoh. Merupakan novel romansa, karena pengarang menggunakan bahasa-bahasa kiasan yang berbentuk narasi bersifat puitis. Gaya bahasa yang mengungkapkan romantika kesederhanaan terdapat empat gaya kalimat, empat gaya kata, bahasa figuratif dengan delapan permajasan, idiom, dan peribahasa, tiga citraan, dan sisipan sajak berfungsi sebagai penekanan antar tokoh, mewujudkan peristiwa, menciptakan makna, menghidupkan objek, suasana, dan alur.     Sapardi is a person who has high of romace value. In his novel, Hujan Bulan Juni, describe the romance of the simplicity of the conflict between the twists and turns of the love life experienced by the two figures assisted by other figures, the conflict can be examined using the style of language through a stylistic appoarch with qualitative descriptive method. This study aims to determine the romance of simplicity through the style of language in the novel as well as to know the function of language style the expresses the whole meaning. Hujan Bulan Juni novel is a serious novel, because it describes of journey of life and romance of a character. It is a romance novel, because the author uses figurative language in the form of narrative is poetic. The style of language that reveals romantic simplicity lies in four sentence styles, four word styles, figurative languages with eight rhimes, idioms, and proverbs, three images, and poet inserts functioning as intercultural emphases, realizing events, creating meaning, animating objects, plot.

Abstract: Language style is a characteristic used by writers to convey meaning, thoughts, and feelings in written form so that it can be accepted by the readers. The purpose of this study is to describe the style of language in the persuasive speech text of generation Z students which includes a variety of affirmative language styles, language styles based on direct or indirect meaning, and language styles based on word choice. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of research using text analysis research. The data analysis was carried out in 3 stages, there are data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Based on the results of the research, 10 styles of affirmative language found described are repetition, pararima, alliteration, tautology, climax, anticlimax, rhetorical, polysyndeton, asindeton, and exclamation. The style of language based on whether or not the meaning is directly found is 6 rhetorical language styles are alliteration, assonance, asindeton, polysyndeton, pleonasm and tautology, and erothesis, and 2 figurative language styles are metonymy and paronomasia. The style of language based on the choice of words found are formal, informal, and conversation styles. Keywords: language style, persuasive speech, generation Z students   Abstrak: Gaya bahasa merupakan ciri khas yang digunakan penulis untuk menyampaikan makna, pikiran dan perasaan dalam bentuk tulisan sehingga dapat diterima oleh pembaca. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa dalam karangan teks pidato persuasif siswa generasi Z yang mencakup ragam gaya bahasa penegasan, gaya bahasa berdasarkan langsung tidaknya makna, dan gaya bahasa berdasarkan pilihan kata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian analisis teks. Analisis data dilakukan dengan melalui 3 tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dipaparkan ragam gaya bahasa penegasan yang ditemukan sebanyak 10 gaya bahasa yaitu repetisi, pararima, aliterasi, tautologi, klimaks, antiklimaks, retoris, polisindenton, asindenton, dan ekslamasio. Gaya bahasa berdasarkan langsung tidaknya makna yang ditemukan sebanyak 6 gaya bahasa retoris yaitu aliterasi, asonansi, asindenton, polisindenton, pleonasme dan tautologi, dan erotesis, dan 2 gaya bahasa kiasan yaitu metonimia dan paronomasia. Gaya bahasa berdasarkan pilihan kata yang ditemukan yaitu gaya bahasa resmi, tak resmi, dan percakapan. Kata kunci: gaya bahasa, pidato persuasif, siswa generasi Z

This study was taken as the understanding of management responses remains scarcely understood in theory and practice, especially concerning consumer preferences. This study aims at examining consumer preferences of the action frames and language styles adopted in hotel management responses to online reviews. A multi-method approach, using discrete choice experiments followed by in-depth interviews, was employed. Findings show that past action frames in management responses are preferred by customers due to the certainty, trustworthiness and detailed information provided. Moreover, literal is favoured over figurative language style due to perceived professionalism and conciseness. The current study helps hotel management to further understand consumer preferences of management responses to online reviews, especially regarding action frames and language styles.

The purpose of this study is to describe the shape, process of composition, and use of the prokem in the novel Aku, Benci & Cinta by Wulanfadi. This kind of research is qualitative research using a descriptive method. The source of data in this research is sentence or speech of the prokem in the novel. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) the prokem shape in the novel is composed of single words, frolic, reduplication, abreviation, and composition; (2) the prokem formation process in the novel is composed of nasalizing active verb+-in to form an active transitive verb, passive form di+root word+-in, debunking the word, use of other terms, english foreign language speakers, full use of english, and letter changes; and (3) the use of prokem in a novel is composed of bonding function, expressing feelings, invite, mocking, satirize, reassuring conversation, creating a humorous atmosphere, ask, and passing information.Keywords: indonesian slang, Wulanfadi, Aku Benci & Cinta

A poet often uses the style of language in composing poetry in order to achieve the desired beauty. Likewise with one of the famous Arab poets in the modern era, namely Nizar Qabbani. He often uses language styles, one of which is the figurative language style, to compose verses in his poems. One of his works which contains a lot of this style of figurative language is his poem entitled "Mansyūrātun Fidāiyyatun ā Al Judrāni Isrāīl". This study aims to analyze the style of figurative language used in the poem. In this study, researchers used stylistic analysis, to be able to find out the types of figurative language used by poets. The results of this study indicate that poets use several kinds of figurative language styles, namely equation or simile (tasybīh), metaphor or isti’ārah, antonomasia or kināyah, pars pro toto (majāz mursal juz’iyyah), irony and cynicism. The most figurative style of speech used by poets is the style of equality or simile (tasybīh), irony and cynicism. This is because the poem is a criticism and representation of expressions of bitterness, anger, and disappointment of the Palestinian people both towards Israel, America, and other world communities.

This paper discusses about the language style of advertising on Japanese website travel agents in Bali such as 1) www.charterbali.com 2) www.bali-guide.jp 3) www.balinavi.jp 4) www.oji-baliclub. com 5) www.bali-chili.com 6) www.dakadibali.com. The purpose of this study is to determine what kinds of language style are used in these advertisements. This research make use of Gorys Keraf’s theory on language style. The data in this study were obtained from six Japanese-language travel agents in Bali. The research method in this paper is a qualitative descriptive method.               The language styles studied are those styles based on sentence structures. Based on sentence structures, eleven data have been found. They are five climax language styles, one anticlimax style, one data is antithesis language style, one data is parallelism language style, and two data are those typical of repetition language styles. The language styles found on the website are aim to convince Japanese tourists about the products on the website by repeating parts of words that are considered important, displaying important information at the beginning or the end of website.

Surakarta.</strong></p><p> </p><p>               A best-seller novel entitled <em>"A Thousand Splendid Suns"</em> by Khaled Hosseini translated by M. Nugrahani Berliani comes up with an interesting language use. It can be seen from the content that consists of a great number of language styles, and one of them is repetition that becomes the characteristic of this novel writer. This research aimed to (1) describe and identify the types of repetition language style in the novel A Thousand Splendid Suns, (2) describe the translation techniques used in the novel A Thousand Splendid Suns, and (3) describe the value and impact of the technique used in this study in term of accuracy and acceptability.</p><p>               This research used descriptive qualitative method and focused to a single case. The data which were in the form of repetition language style in this study were obtained from the novel A Thousand Splendid Suns and its translations. Further, the data in the form of informant were gathered from the raters who assessed the accuracy and acceptability of the translation. The selected sampling technique was purposive sampling (theoretical based-sampling).  The data then were collected using document analysis and focus group discussion.</p><p>               The conclusion of this study is the implementation of 10 translation techniques had a positive impact to the accuraracy and acceptability of its translation. The techniques giving positive impact in its translation in term of the accuracy and acceptability are established equivalence, generalization, transposition, amplification, pure borrowing, variation and particularization. This study aims to describe the style of language used by the novel Tanah Langit Merah and the Comet novel. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research data collection technique is the documentation technique. Data analysis techniques are used through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) Novel Comet contains a comparative language style of 109 citations, contrasting 39 quotations, linking 31 quotations, and repeating 10 quotations. (2) The novel Tanah Langit Merah contains comparative language styles, 97 parable parables, 117 metaphor quotations, 25 personification quotations, and 1 quote antithesis. (3) antagonism, hyperbole 74 citations, oxymoron 6 quotations, sarcasm 24 quotations, satire 15 quotations, paradox 10 quotations. (4) linkages, 8 excerpt metonemicals, 3 excerpts euphemisms, and 15 citation elepsis. (5) iteration, alliteration of 11 citations, anaphora 4 quotations, and efficiency of 2 quotations. <p><strong>Abstract:</strong><strong> </strong>This research analyzes qualitative descriptively about form (language style) that is used by Nizar Qabbani. It is used by the researcher for expressing the meanings of Nizar Qabbani’s poems. The results of this research shows that the researcher has found many of language styles usage used by Nizar Qabbani in his poems, like metaphor, simile, paralelisme, metominia, retoris, hyperbola, personification, etc. From the analyzing the poems, the researcher has found the meanings of them namely Ighdab poem that has angry, loving, and promise meaning. Aina Adzhabu poem means true love and lost feel. Then, Ukhibbuki Jiddann poem means true love. All of them are awesome love theme that expressed by Nizar Qabbani.
