This study investigates the effects of the Algodoo interactive learning program on fifth-grade students’ achievement in science and motivation towards science. The research was carried out in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year with the participation of 110 fifth grade students. In the study, a pre-test-post-test control group quasi-experimental design was used. Within the scope of the study, the “Force Measurement and Friction” unit was taught during three weeks through Algodoo in the experimental group and traditional teaching in the control group. In the study, data were collected through an achievement test including multiple-choice questions and Science Motivation Scale. Both instruments were applied to the groups twice as pre and post-test. Independent samples t-test was conducted separately for the quantitative data obtained from each instrument. Moreover, a paired-samples t-test was conducted to compare the pre-and post-test scores of each instrument. According to the findings, Algodoo applications had positive effects on science achievement and motivation towards science.

This study aimed at investigating whether or not there was a significant effect of using Word Clap Game on the vocabulary mastery of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Banjar Jawa. The research was true experimental with Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population was the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Banjar Jawa. Cluster Random Sampling was assigned to select the sample of the study. The samples were 30 students at grade 5A for experimental group and 30 students at grade 5B for control group. Those two groups were determined by lottery. The experimental group was taught by using Word Clap Game and the control group was taught by using conventional teaching technique. The data were analyzed by using T-test through SPSS program. The result of the data analysis showed that students in experimental group performed better than the students in control group. It was proven by the result of the descriptive statistics that showed the mean score of the experimental group was 89,33 while the mean score of the control group was 84,67. The result of the t-test also showed that the value of the tobs was greater than the tcv where the tobs was 2,586 while the tcv was 1,672. Based on the findings, it was concluded that there was a significant effect of using word clap game on the students’ vocabulary mastery rather than using conventional teaching.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of teaching supported by self-regulated learning on students’ learning and studying responsibility. This research was carried out through “pre-test-post-test control group model”. The sample of the study consisted a total of 52 fifth grade students studying in two different classrooms of an urban primary school located in the West Black Sea Region in Turkey in the 2018-2019 academic year. This study was conducted for 4 weeks and the unit of “Culture and Heritage” in social studies lesson was covered. The learning and studying responsibility scale was used to collect the data. In the analysis of data, pre-test – post-test scores were compared by using t-test for dependent groups. In addition, in order to explain the power of relation, effect size (Cohens' d) values were calculated. The result of the study shows that teaching supported by self-regulated learning is effective and beneficial in students' learning and studying responsibility levels in favour of experimental group. This result demonstrated that teaching supported by self-regulated learning had positive effects on students' learning and studying responsibility.

This research is to determine the effect of realistic mathematical approach on students’ learning motivation. The research method is pre-experiment of one group pretest posttest design. This study was conducted with 34 fifth grade students from a public school in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. The results indicate that students’ learning motivation significantly increases. Among six indicators measuring students’ learning motivation, the indicator of interesting activities in learning is the most increase, from 80.76% in pre-test to 86.40% in post-test. The average score of pretest in form of students’ learning motivation questionnaire before applying treatment was 90.56 while score posttest after treatment was 95,09 and the results of the research hypotheses using the comparative t-test tcount (6.997) > ttable (2.039). This means that there is an effect of applying the realistic mathematical approach to students’ learning motivation.

Building on the increasing number of programs designed to enhance brain development, a program developed in Korea, Brain Respiration, was adapted to a school in Nevada. Classes were offered twice weekly to a class of fourth and fifth grade students with control group classes assessed in the same school. Self-report surveys, teacher observations, and standardized reading and math scores were used to determine effects of the program on the students. Some differences were found in the pretest for the survey and the observation, with control groups scoring higher. There were differences in some post-test scores, with treatment group children scoring higher when differences did occur. There also were differences in the reading and math scores, with control groups scoring higher than the overall treatment group, but not higher when compared to those actively participating in the program. Such differences are discussed as well as other issues possibly influencing the effects.

This study aimed at investigating of the effect of using word family game committed by the fifth grade student in SD Negeri 1 Astina in mastering the English vocabulary. This study was True-Experimental with post-test only control group design. The population was 59 students of the fifth grade and the sample was selected by using cluster random sampling. The sample of this research study was 22 students in 5A as an Experimental Group while 22 students in 5B as a Control Group. The experimental group was taught by using Word Family Game and control group was taught without using Word Family Game. The data was analyzed descriptively and inferentially through SPSS 16.0 Program. Descriptively, the students in experimental group were achieved better than the students in control group. It was proven by the result of the mean score of the experimental group was 90.45, while the mean score of control group was 83.18. The result of the t-test also showed that the score of the (tobs) was 3.393 which the score of (tcv) was 1.682 which based on the degree of freedom was 42. It showed that the (tobs) > (tcv), where: 3.393 > 1.682. It could be concluded that the word family game had a significant effect on the students’ vocabulary mastery rather than using conventional teaching.

The study was conducted to investigate the integration of electronic mind map within the Arabic vocabulary instruction for fifth-grade students at Jordan. The sample included two classes chosen by the available method from the fifth grade classes in two schools in northern Jordan. One of the classes (29 pupils) whom represented the experimental group; its members studied using the strategy of Electronic Mind map. The other class (30 pupils) represented the control group. The researchers used an achievement test, as well as a collective interview conducted with the experimental group after the post-test. The results revealed that the computerized mind map reinforced students' educational accomplishment in Arabic vocabulary, increased their concentration and created the instructive process more interactive fascinating and gratifying and continue to learn. The study suggested the acceleration of the integration of mind maps in the Arabic language in several education stages. The necessity to produce schools with internet and pcs particularly within the second stage and also to require advantage of specialists within the field of educational technology to attain the highest-quality lecturers.

The study of the effect of cooperative learning model two stay two stray types on motivation and learning outcomes of the fifth-grade students of SDN15 Palu was carried out from March to June 2018. This study used quasi-experimental methods. The research design used the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and test results. The data analysis technique used the t-test inferential statistical method. The study population was fifth-grade students of SDN15 Palu. The sample of the research was Va class with as many as 29 people as the experimental group and Vb class with 28 people as the control group, which was determined by purposive sampling technique. The independent variable in this study was the TSTS model, while the dependent variable was a motivation and learning outcomes. Based on hypothesis testing with two-party t-test statistics obtained students learning motivation with t count was higher than t table (7.876 > 2.004). Student learning outcomes obtained tcount higher than t table  (3.654 > 2.004). These results indicated that the application of cooperative learning model two stay two stray type influences the motivation and learning outcomes of the science of the fifth-grade students of SDN 15 Palu.
