Health problems cannot be solved by health officials alone. The scout movement with millions of members throughout Indonesia clearly has a very important role in this. Scout members as millennial youth can be important agents of change, both for fellow youths, for parents and their families as well as for society as a whole. The members of the Ventura Scouts (16-20 years) andRover Scouts (20-25 years) in Indonesia number around 3.6 million (16% of 23 million). The study aims to observe the participation of the Ventura Scout and Rover Scouts  who carry out various activities in the public health in the Jabodetabek area and which media cover/report on these Scouting activities. The research is qualitative in nature by observing news of Scout involvement in the public health activities  in electronic mass media, print media and online media from January to June 2020. To complete the information, the researchers conducted in-depth interviews with several connected coaches and scouts. The analysis is carried out simply by comparing which media do the most news coverage/broadcasting about scout activities in the publicc health activities, and what motivations make scouts involved in public health activities. The research results showed that the of Ventura Scoutand Pandega Scouts were heavily involved in the public health activities, especially during the Covid19 pandemic, among others, distributing masks, becoming counselors, becoming role models. It turned out that online media was mostly followed by print and electronic media which covered and reported on the Ventura Scout and Rover Scout activities. This is also because the Ventura Scoutand Pandega Scouts are contributors to online media news, moreover Scouts have the tagline "Every Scout is a reporter". Meanwhile, the print and electronic media reported little about Scouting activities because they were more interesting in reporting on other youth groups. While the motivation of the Ventura Scoutsand Rover Scouts to be involved in public health activities because in accordance with Tri Satya and Dasa Darma Pramuka, among others, are helping others in life, participating in building the nation, loving nature and affection for fellow humans and being willing to help, and being responsible as citizens. The conclusion is that Scout involvement in the public health activities is quite often carried out in the Jabodetabek area in accordance with existing health problems in the local location. Scouts have been motivated to carry out humanitarian activities because of the pledge and promises contained in Tri Satya and Darma Pramuka. Online media reported the most on Scouting activities because the tagline "Every Scout is a reporter", while print media and electronic media reported the least on Scouting activities. The recommendation put forward is that every Scout carrying out activities in the health sector must be equipped with PPE (personal protective equipment), and the Scout Movement must continue to collaborate on an ongoing basis with the mass media, both printed, electronic and online.

My aim in writing this paper is to describe that in this fast-changing world, media in Indonesia has undergone a rapid transformation. Digital technology continues to reshape the mass media landscape using internet technology. Internet brings a technical communication revolution, a fundamental change takes place in the structure of connections, artificial memories and the reproduction of their content. Internet technology has made communication much easier and less expensive. It has attracted many people and has penetrated into people’s daily lives. The mass media also have accepted the internet. Almost all forms of traditional media (old media) in local media, such as radio, television, and newspaper have extended their work into this new field. The internet and the World Wide Web have both significantly influenced modern journalism. In online media allows readers to enjoy browsing their product and service of contents, such as news feed, podcasts, desktop alert, news on mobile phones, PDA and others mobile devices. Online media offer not only text but also digital images , audio file, moving images (video), internet radio and internet t v. The interactive features of the internet seemingly imply that online media have more advantages than traditional media forms (old media). So, the internet have dramatically evolved become new media with characteristic multimedia, hypertext, interactivity, archives , and virtuality. The most important structural new media characteristic is the integration of telecommunications, data communications and mass communication in a single medium – it is the convergence. It should be pointed out that the trend toward digital is affecting the various media and brings the local media in East Java to become a global media, where breaking news from Surabaya or anywhere in East Java is transmitted to around the world in a matter of minutes . The research was carried out to find out how user reception on convergence media, journalism and local media on the site of SuaraSurabaya.net and how to access subjective meanings that they have created based on t heir understanding on online media so far. The research is also interested in looking into user reception on information and communication technology based on its relevance with the selected theme namely discourses on global media in website of Radio Suara Surabaya.

In this article, I present the results of an analysis of print media reporting on the spectacular trial in 1984 against the murderers of Jerzy Popiełuszko in communist Poland. The aim of my research is to show how the coverage contributed to the de-legitimization of the Communist Party despite the mass media system's tight structures of control. Because of mass media functionality, the coverage of this event contributed to political transformation not only by publicizing a hitherto tabooed topic but also by establishing an initial point for informed public criticism of the government.

Aturan mengenai pers di Indonesia diatur oleh Undang-undang No.40 tahun 1999 tentang pers. Thomas Mathiesen’s ‘The Viewer Society’ has been widely influential. Mathiesen posited, alongside the panopticon, a reciprocal system of control, the synopticon, in which ‘the many’ watch ‘the few’. I point to the value of Mathiesen’s arguments but also suggest a reconsideration. I consider where recent challenges to theorizing surveillance as panoptic leave the synopticon. The synopticon is tied to a top—down, instrumental way of theorizing the media. It neglects resistance, alternative currents in media production and reception, the role of culture and the increasing centrality of the internet. Mathiesen’s piece is most useful in a narrower way, in highlighting how surveillance and the mass media interact, rather than in thinking about the role of the media in control more generally.
