The tide of the existence identity of local religion in Indonesia is becoming an ongoing reality in Indonesian society. This situation is inseparable from social construction that misunderstand the faith practiced by local religion in Indonesia. In the understanding of Indonesian society, there is still a presumption that local religion are group of animist, primitive, conservative and godless. In this research, local religion give other perspective about local religion in modernity life. Local religion reconstructs their identity through a new identity that is more easily accepted by the state and society. The existence of local religion is also inseparable from a state that is still not able to provide equal are as citizens. This research focuses on identity of Ugamo Malim that have variety of dinamics and limitations such as others local religion in Indonesia. The experience of the loss and difficulty of maintaining a local religious identity in the past has provided awareness of state recognition. The state becomes a place as well as a guarantee for them in maintaining the continuity of their identity. The various negative stigma attached to local religion disappear as we see in the social life and religiousity of Ugamo Malim.Ugamo Malim who reconstructs their identity in modern life so that it has many similarities with the majority religion. The reconstruction of local religious identities is renewed to be relevant to modern life but without reducing the meaning of their identity. Pasang surut eksistensi identitas agama lokal di Indonesia menjadi realitas yang masih berlangsung di masyarakat Indonesia. situasi ini tidak dapat dilepaskan dari konstruksi sosial atas kesalahpahaman tentang praktik kepercayaan dari agama lokal di Indonesia. Dalam pemahaman masyarakat Indonesia masih ada anggapan bahwa agama lokal sebagai kelompok animisme, primitif, konservatif dan tak bertuhan. Dalam penelitian ini, agama lokal memberikan suatu perspektif baru tentang agama lokal di kehidupan moderen. Agama lokal merekonstruksi identitasnya melalui identitas baru yang lebih mudah ditereeima oleh negara dan masyarakat mayoritas. Eksistensi agama lokal juga tidak terlepas dari negara yang masih belum mampu memberikan hak yang sama sebagai warga negara. Penelitian ini fokus pada Ugamo Malim yang memiliki beragam dinamika dan hambatan di masyarakat Indonesia. Pengalaman atas kehilangan identitas dan sulitnya mempertahankan identitas Ugamo Malim menyadarkan mereka untuk mendapatkan pengakuan dari negara. Negara menjadi jaminan bagi mereka untuk dapat mempertahankan identitasnya. Beragam stigma negatif yang melekat pada Ugamo Malim di hilangkan saat melihat keseharian mereka dan praktik religiusnya di masyarakat. Identitas baru yang di bangun Ugamo memiliki persamaan dengan agama mayoritas di Indonesia. Rekonstruksi identitas religius dibarukan dan menjadi relevan dengan kehidupan moderen tanpa mengurangi makna identitasnya.

Coffee drinking is fundamental to social life in Ethiopia. Based on research in eastern Amhara Region between 2011 and 2015, this paper explores the omnipresent buna ceremony during which coffee is prepared and served, and its role in the lives of rural government workers as an occasion for building group solidarity as protection against the hardships they face. While Ethiopian society is commonly portrayed as highly authoritarian and hierarchical, this ethnographic account of the social lives of low-level officials complicates the picture of a strict divide between state and society, and is a contribution to calls for attention to the ways in which material practices continually constitute the state as a reality.

In the Shadow of the Factory. A Vision of the Nitrogen Plant Disaster in Mościce at the Monument of Wilhelm Sasnal The article concerns the shadow phenomenon understood as the state of anxiety of people who create the social environment of an organization. This phenomenon was discussed on the example of Zakłady Azotowe in Mościce and the Wilhelm Sasnal monument, using research material from indepth interviews with the creator of the monument and with Dawid Radziszewski, artistic curator. Information from existing sources and the results of the visual analysis of the monument were also used. The result of the analysis is that: (1) shadow is a kind of social fear of threats from the organization (e.g., failures); (2) its source is the organization itself; (3) shadow is rooted in the past (4) and projected for the future; (5) shadow organizes social life in the environment of the organization and manifests itself in stories, myths and art.

As scholars and activists have addressed the problem of violence against women in the past 25 years, their efforts have increasingly attuned us to the multiple dimensions of the issue. Early activists hoped to change the structure of power relations in our society, as well as the political ideology that tolerated violence against women, through legislation, education, direct action, and direct services. This activism resulted in a plethora of changes to the legal codes and protocols relating to rape and battering. Today, social scientists and legal scholars are evaluating the effects of these reforms, questioning anew the ability of law by itself to redress societal inequalities. As they uncover the limitations of legal reforms enacted in the past two decades, scholars are turning—or returning—to ask about the social and cultural contexts within which laws are formulated, enforced, and interpreted.

Research on godparenthood has traditionally emphasized its stabilizing effect on social structure. This article, however, focuses attention on how the practices and discourses associated with marital sponsorship in the Republic of Moldova ascribe value to the risks and uncertainties of social life. Moldova has experienced substantial economic, social, and political upheaval during the past two decades of postsocialism, following a longer period of Soviet-era modernization, secularization, and rural–urban migration. In this context, godparenthood has not contributed to the long-term stability of class structure or social relations, but people continue to seek honor and social respect by taking the social and economic risks involved in sponsoring new marriages.

Philosophers of earlier ages have usually spent time in considering thenature of marital, and in general familial, duty. Paley devotes an entire book to those ‘relative duties which result from the constitution of the sexes’,1 a book notable on the one hand for its humanity and on the other for Paley‘s strange refusal to acknowledge that the evils for which he condemns any breach of pure monogamy are in large part the result of the fact that such breaches are generally condemned. In a society where an unmarried mother is ruined no decent male should put a woman in such danger: but why precisely should social feeling be so severe? Marriage, the monogamist would say, must be defended at all costs, for it is a centrally important institution of our society. Political community was, in the past, understood as emerging from or imposed upon families, or similar associations. The struggle to establish the state was a struggle against families, clans and clubs; the state, once established, rested upon the social institutions to which it gave legal backing.

gas sector, an important sector in Iraq because of the great economic significance in support of the Iraqi economy and it represents a second fixed with oil to finance the state budget source of income. As well as investment by the lead to reduce the effects of environment polluting due to the accompanying emissions of dangerous toxic gases, gas flaring, which sometimes lead to the death of many people if inhaled and that the aim of the research dealt with knowledge of the environmental impact before making an investment associated gas decision and after the establishment of a project to improve the environment and the extent of impact of the project in the social life and the solution to the problem of the research of the combustion of large amounts of associated gas because of the lack of attention to hold such an important natural resource that generates state many returns and lead to significant financial losses in the event of lack of investment. the gas combustion leads to polluted and unhygienic environment causing disease, cancer of the inhabitants of neighboring areas .oan the practical side of the research dealt with the relationship between investment-associated and its impact gas-decision in the preservation of the environment and that the most important conclusions of the research: the investment-associated gas decision Rashid and that the decision came too late, according to the findings of the research, the this decision adds another supplier of oil in the state budget was burning waste and contribute to the preservation of free burning remnants of a healthy environment, This corresponds to the research : Promote associated gas investment in order to support the state budget an additional financial resource of oil and this is what improves the current and future situation and also reduces the effects of environmental damage.

AbstrakKarya tari yang berjudul “Guriah Limpapeh” terinspirasi dari kehidupan sosial perempuan Minangkabau yang pengkarya amati di sekeliling pengkarya bersikap dan bertingkah laku tidak sesuai dengan etika idealnya perempuan Minangkabau. Dalam aplikasinya menginterpretasikan bergesernya nilai dan etika perempuan hari ini dan mengungkap nilai yang relevan dengan adat dan budaya Minangkabau. Dalam konsep gerak sebagai media utama tari pengkarya mengembangkan gerak yang relevan dengan konsep garapan, selain itu diperkuat dengan menggunakan drum sebagai properti dan setting. Karya ini digarap dalam tiga bahagian yakni pada bagian pertama menginterpretasikan tentang kehidupan dan aktivitas masyarakat di Kecamatan Matur, bahagian kedua menggambarkan perubahan memori pada dahulu dan zaman sekarang, kemudian bahagian ketiga menginterpretasikan bagaimana pola tingkah laku perempuan yang dalam adat Minangkabau yang disebut Simarewan dan Mambang Tali Awan yang menjadi konflik dalam garapan, sedangkan bagian endingnya adalah mengekspresikan idealnya perempuan Minangkabau yang disebut dengan Parampuan. Karya ini diperkuat dengan musik untuk memperkuat suasana, demikian juga elemen-elemen dan artistik lainnya untuk penampilannya memilih ruang terbuka atau outdoor. Kata Kunci: interpretasi, perempuan, adat MinangkabauAbstractThis work of dance entitled  as "Guriah Limpapeh" which is inspired from the social life of Minangkabau women, that the observed around the worker’s attitude and behaved not in accordance with the ideal ethics of Minangkabau women. In its application interpet the shifting values and ethics of women today and reveal values relevant to the customs and culture of Minangkabau. In the concept of motion as the main medium of the dance the developer develops a motion that is relevant to the concept of arable, besides being strengthened by using drums as property and settings. This work is worked on in three parts, namely in the first part of interpreting the life and activities of the community in the mature sub-district, the second part describes the change of memory in the past and present, then the third part interprets how the female behavior patterns in the Minangkabau tradition called simarewan and mambang tali awan  which becomes conflict in claim while the final part is expressing ideally the Minangkabau women who is called parampuan. This work is strengthened by music to strengthen the atmosphere, as well as other artistic and elements for his appearance in choosing open space or outdoor.Keywords: interpretation, women, adat Minangkabau.

The concept of citizenship is one of the pillars upon which the modern civil state was built. The concept of citizenship can be considered as the basic guarantee for both the government and individuals to clarify the relationship between them, since under this right individuals can acquire and apply their rights freely and also based on this right the state can regulate how society members perform the duties imposed on them, which will contributes to the development of the state and society .The term citizenship has been used in a wider perspective, itimplies the nationality of the State where the citizen obtains his civil, political, economic, social, cultural and religious rights and is free to exercise these rights in accordance with the Constitution of the State and the laws governing thereof and without prejudice to the interest. In return, he has an obligation to perform duties vis-à-vis the state so that the state can give him his rights that have been agreed and contracted.This paper seeks to explore firstly, the modern connotation of citizenship where it is based on the idea of rights and duties. Thus the modern ideal of citizenship is based on the relationship between the individual and the state. The Islamic civilization was spanned over fourteen centuries and there were certain laws and regulations governing the relationship between the citizens and the state, this research will try to discover the main differences between the classical concept of citizenship and the modern one, also this research will show us the results of this change in this concept . The research concludes that the new concept of citizenship is correct one and the one that can fit to our contemporary life and the past concept was appropriate for their time but the changes in the world force us to apply and to rethink again about this concept.

Misoprostol is a medicine with a “double” social life recorded in several places, including Brazil. Within formal and authorized health facilities, it is an essential medicine, used for life-saving obstetric procedures. On the streets, or in online informal markets, misoprostol is treated as a dangerous drug used to induce illegal abortions. In the Brazilian case, despite a rich anthropological and public health analysis of the social consequences of misoprostol’s double life, there are no studies on the legal implications. This article offers such descriptive analysis, presenting and examining a comprehensive dataset of how Brazilian courts have treated misoprostol in the past three decades. It consists of an encompassing mapping of the “when, where, how, and who” of misoprostol criminalization in Brazil, pointing to the unjust consequences of the use of criminal law for the purpose of protecting public health.
