This study aims to describe (1) planning to improve writing skill through cooperative STAD type cooperative strategy of class XII IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Pasangkayu Pasangkayu Regency; (2) the implementation of improving writing skill through STAD type cooperative stategi 1 IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Pasangkayu Pasangkayu regency, and (3) assessment improving writing skill through cooperative type STAD strategy of grade XII students IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Pasangkayu. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Pasangkayu Pasangkayu Regency that is class XII IPA4. This research data in the form of quantitative data that is result of student writing (essay) and qualitative data collected by using instrument. The instrument of this research is test and nontes, type of test used is writing activity, while nontes in the form of observation guidance, documentation study, and interview. The result of the research shows that in improving writing skill through STAD type cooperative stategial strategy IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Pasangkayu Pasangkayu regency in the stage of planning, implementation, and assessment of cycle I have not maximized because of obstacles faced by teachers and students in learning. However, in the second cycle of implementation planning, and assessment can be maximized with the limitation of all the obstacles experienced in the first cycle so that students' writing skills have a good change. or increase. Thus, STAD type cooperative strategy can improve the writing skill of grade XII students IPA4 SMA Negeri 1 Pasangkayu Pasangkayu regency.

This classroom action research aims to improve students' skills in writing recounts using chain drawing techniques and several questions.The subjects of this study were students X IIS.1 SMA 3 TEBING TINGGI 2017/2018 lessons, amounting to 22 people consisting of 11 men and 11 women.In collecting data, recount writing and observation or observation tests are conducted.All data are collected and analyzed. In analyzing the results of the tests using a system scale the rating criteria are referent values. The results that the researchers obtained from this study were qualitative data and quantitative data.Qualitative data shows that students are very active and fluent in writing recounts, this can be seen by the increase in student activity in doing their own writing recount activities in the first cycle and second cycle, and students smoothly answer questions based on the images set out in recount essays.Whereas from quantitative data, it can be seen that there is an increase in the value of students from the level or level of information written on their recount.The number of students who get A in the first cycle is 1 meeting (1 person), 2nd meeting (2 people), and 3rd meeting (4 people). On the second cycle of the 1st meeting (9 people), 2nd meeting (17 people) and 3rd meeting (22 people). Students who get B score in cycle 1, meeting 1 (4 people), meeting 2 (4 people) and meeting 3 (12 people). On cycle 2, meeting 1st (6 people), 2nd meeting (5 people) and no B value at 3rd meeting. This means giving serial images and several questions, so that the writing skills of students X IIS.1 of SMA Negeri 3 Tebing Tinggi can be improved.

This study was written to see the effect of picture strategy inductive model (PWIM) and student self-efficacy to their skills in writing descriptive text. This research is a quasi-experimental design with factorial design. This research data is taken from the result of student writing skill test and self-efficacy questionnaire. Then, the data were analyzed by using t-test and two-way Anova through Minitab 14 application. The results of this study indicate that PWIM strategy has a significant effect on students' writing skill when compared with listing strategy used by teachers in writing teaching. The result shows a t count of 1,900 which is larger than the t-table that is worth 1.684. Then, students with high self-efficacy taught with the PWIM strategy have a better ability to write descriptive text than students taught with a listing strategy, where t counts are 3.160 which is greater than t-tables of 1.812. However, students with low self-efficacy taught by the PWIM strategy do not have a better ability to write descriptive text than students taught by a listing strategy that t-counts 1.730 smaller than t-tables of 1.812 . Furthermore, from the results of the study also found that there is no interaction between teaching strategies with self-efficacy to the writing skills of students where F-count is 0.08 higher than the F-table is 2.58.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang peningkatan keterampilan menulis makalah melalui lesson study pada mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD FKIP Untan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus.Setiap siklus dilaksanakan empat kali pertemuan. Data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui lembar wawancara, kuesioner, dan lembar pengamatan. Data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil tes menulis makalah. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah peristiwa pembelajaran menulis makalah melalui lesson study mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD FKIP Untan. Hasil penektian menunjukkan data awal nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis makalah mahasiswa adalah 158,6 (kategori kurang). Setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran dengan lesson study di siklus I, nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis makalah meningkat menjadi 298,8 (kategori baik). Pada siklus II, nilai nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis makalah mengalami peningkatan lagi menjadi 341,8 (kategori sangat baik). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lesson study dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karya ilmiah mahasiswa PGSD FKIP Untan. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan menulis, karya ilmiah, lesson study Abstract This research aims to find a deep understanding of the improvement of scientific writing skills through lesson study on students of PGSD FKIP Untan. This research usesan action researchapproach in twocycles. The data in this research was divided into two, namely quantitative and qualitative. The qualitative data wereobtainedthrough interview, questionnaires, and observation sheets. The quantitative data wereobtained from the results of scientific writing test. The data in this research were the scientific writing learning through lesson study on the students of PGSD FKIP Untan. The results showed that the initial average score of students paper writing skill was 158.6 (average category). After learning through the lesson study in the first cycle, the average score of writing skills improved to 298.8 (good category). In the second cycle, the average score of paper writing skills also improved to 341.8 (very good category). The result indicates that the use of lesson study in learning can improve the scientific papers writing skills of PGSD students of FKIP Untan. The objectives of this research are to describe NHT model implementation and also to describe the result which shows improvements in expository narrative writing skills. This research is based on Classroom Action Research. Data are collected through tests, documentations, and observation sheets for teachers and students. It uses quantitative descriptive analysis technique. NHT model implementation affected well showing improvements in every conducted action. The result shows average pre-cycles score of 51,81 with 26% classical completeness. After actions conducted using NHT model, cycle 1 shows average score of 63,1 with 61% classical completeness and cycle 2 shows average score of 75 with 84% classical completeness. The result of expository narrative writing skill are calculated using gain score, which showing a score of 0,48 with medium category.

The objectives of this study are to capture the implementation of Think Pair Share (TPS) in teaching-learning process, to identify the improvement of the students' writing skills, and to find out the strengths and the weaknesses of Think Pair Share (TPS) in the teaching-learning process of the seventh-grade students of MTS AL Islahuddin Kediri. This research is a classroom action research. The researcher used qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data was interview and observation. The quantitative data was tested. The step to analyze the qualitative data used data reducing, data display, and conclusion drawing. The step to analyze the quantitative data used mean formula. The result of the research shows that there are positive improvements in either student" writing skills or the class situation during the teaching-learning process.  It can be seen from the result of the test which is improved,  from the students" writing score and the post-test conducted after the action. The mean scores of students" writing scores are increased. Besides, the situation of the class is more conducive before implementing it. From the class situations improvement, it can be drawn some strengths and the weaknesses of the Think Pair Share (TPS) implementation in writing class. The strengths include that the Think Pair Share (TPS) can build critical thinking, motivation, classroom interaction, easy to discuss, -self-confidence, and active learners. The weaknesses are required special attention in classroom use, and it needs a mediator.

The study aims to improve the student skills in writing The Javanese Script and learning activities through group discussion assisted by letter cards in the 6th-grade students of SD 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus Even Semester Academic Year 2018/2019. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles using The Javanese Script cards as the learning media and group discussion as the learning method. Research data were collected using nontest techniques (classroom observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation collection) and test techniques (individual written tests). Quantitative data were the scores of The Javanese Script writing skill were analyzed descriptively and qualitative data were the result of learning activities observations that converted into scores and categorized classically. The Pre-cycle stage test score category consisted of poor (62.16%) and fair scores (37.84%), with students had reached learning mastery standard by 37.84%. The Cycle I stage test score category consisted of poor (27.03%), fair (56.76%), and good scores (16.22%), with students had reached learning mastery standard by 72.97%. The Cycle II stage test score category consisted of fair (48.65%), good (40.54%), and very good scores (10.81%), with students had reached learning mastery standard by 100%. The classical learning activities observations are classified as good, both in Cycle I and Cycle II were 70.27% and 71.89%, respectively. Thus, the method of group discussion assisted by letter cards is proven to improve the student skills in writing The Javanese Script and learning activities.

Abstract: This research aims to provide a contribution for students and teachers of grade 1, as well as for schools. The purpose of the research for students is to provide students with a learning experience in writing cursive letters and foster students’ enthusiasm for learning and improving cursive writing skills. Another research which is to become input for teachers in overcoming students' difficulties when learning to write cursive letters, can also be used by teachers as a reference for the development of learning to write cursive letters and can increase teacher’s creativity in managing learning to write cursive letters. For schools, this research aims to assist in improving the quality of education. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this research namely teachers and students of grade 1, as well as the principal. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in the form of qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. For the analysis of qualitative data obtained from data collection and analysis of quantitative data obtained from the processed results of the writing test in cursive with the SAS method. The result of research obtained showed that the percentage of student learning completeness in implementation of the second cycle reached 77,8 percent. Previously, precycle and first cycle activities were carried out, each of which the percentage of learning completeness was only 18,5 percent and 37 percent, and increased in the implementation of the second cycle. This shows that the application of the SAS method can improve the cursive writing skills of grade 1 students. Suggestion for students in the result of this study, namely that students should focus and actively ask the teacher when learning to write cursive letters, so that they can improve their writing skills. In addition, suggestions for teachers should use variations in learning so that students are more enthusiastic about writing cursive letters, and also give more attention to students who have not yet completed writing cursive letters. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi bagi siswa dan guru kelas 1, maupun bagi sekolah. Tujuan penelitian bagi siswa, yaitu dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar siswa dalam menulis huruf tegak bersambung dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis huruf tegak bersambung. Tujuan penelitian lainnya, yaitu menjadi bahan masukan untuk guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa saat pembelajaran menulis huruf tegak bersambung, juga dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru sebagai salah satu acuan untuk pengembangan pembelajaran menulis huruf tegak bersambung, dan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran menulis huruf tegak bersambung. Bagi sekolah, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini, yaitu guru dan siswa kelas 1, serta kepala sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Untuk analisis data kualitatif diperoleh dari pengumpulan data dan analisis data kuantitatif diperoleh dari olahan hasil tes menulis huruf tegak bersambung dengan metode SAS. Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada pelaksanaan siklus II yang mencapai 77,8 persen. Sebelumnya, dilakukan kegiatan pra siklus dan siklus I yang masing-masing perolehan persentase ketuntasan belajar hanya 18,5 persen dan 37 persen, dan meningkat pada pelaksanaan siklus II. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode SAS ini dapat meningkatan keterampilan menulis huruf tegak bersambung siswa kelas 1. Saran bagi siswa dalam hasil penelitian ini, yaitu sebaiknya siswa fokus dan aktif bertanya kepada guru saat pembelajaran menulis huruf tegak bersambung, sehingga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulisnya. Selain itu, saran bagi guru sebaiknya menggunakan variasi dalam pembelajaran agar siswa semakin bersemangat untuk menulis huruf tegak bersambung, dan juga memberikan perhatian lebih kepada siswa yang belum tuntas dalam menulis huruf tegak bersambung.

Learning Indonesian basically aims to enhance students' skills to use language as a communication tool, either orally or in writing. Objectives to be achieved from this paper is to describe the Writing Skills Improvement Method Using Text Description Procedure Writing Guided Graders X2 SMK Negeri 1 Tanah Datar Batipuh, This type of research is classroom action research. The research was conducted in the classroom X2 SMK Negeri 1 Tanah Datar Batipuh, The subjects were students of classX2 SMK Negeri 1 Tanah Datar Batipuh the number of students 23 to 10 women and 13 men, Which is listed on the first semestar academic year 2018/2019. The research data was collected through observation, performance, discussion and documentation. The data obtained in the study using qualitative data analysis model. The results of the study illustrate that; 1) Learning to write descriptions have been implemented in accordance with the plan contained in the RPP assessment form. 2) Learning to write descriptions have been conducted usingMethod Writing Guided Procedure. In the implementation of student learning has been included in full in the process pemebelajaran. 3) a description of the student writing skills to useMethod Guided Writing Procedure improve. This is evident from the student's skills, where the skills of students in the third cycle is higher than on the skills of writing a description on the second cycle. Writing, regarded as a thinking process enables language learners to explore and transform their ideas into words in accurate and appropriate ways. Although it has been taught from the Elementary school level up to the higher level of education, English teachers and students encounter various challenges. For students, they still get difficulties in writing a text even after being taught. For teachers, correcting students’ writing increases their workload. Therefore, how to reduce the load of teaching writing and to decrease students’ difficulties in writing have become important problem to solve. Through applying a technique in teaching writing, this research aimed to explore whether the application of peer review technique can improve students’ achievement in writing recount text. The method applied in this research was a classroom action research. The subject of the research was X-4 class SMA Negeri 21 Medan. The instruments of collecting the data were writing tasks as quantitative data while observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, diary notes and interview as qualitative data. This research is underpinned by the lack of blame for students ' science process skills that can result in no achievement of learning objectives. The proper application of learning models is one of the alternatives to addressing the problem. One of the learning models that can be applied is the learning model predict observe explain (POE). This research aims to determine the implementation of the learning model predict observe explain and its influence on the skills of the students ' science process on electrolyte and nonelectrolytic solution material in grade X MIA SMAN 9 Jambi City. The approach used in this research is a mix method by using both qualitative data and quantitative data. Sampling techniques are performed with purposive sampling. The instrument used is an observation sheet for the implementation of the model by both teachers and students and the observation sheet of Students ' science process skills. Qualitative data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman and quantitative data analysis techniques using the correlation test of product moment and test-T. The management of the POE model by the teacher has increased each meeting, the percentage of the implementation of POE models by students is 74.56% with good categorize, and the percentage of students ' science process skills is 73.33% categorized. The implementation relationship of POE model by students with the skills of students ' science process categorized very strongly with the value of Rxy 0.849. The signification test was obtained Thitung > this (9,013 > 2,036) with DK 32 and α = 0.05 so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the results of the research can be concluded that the implementation of POE learning model on electrolyte and nonelectrolytic solution material affects the students ' science process skills in X MIA class SMAN 9 Jambi City.
