The quality of sports services has become a trend to ensure the continuity and progress of sports organizations. The objective of this study is to analyze the perceived quality of sports services offered by universities in the private sector of Mexico, by applying the QUNISPORT v.mx instrument to 162 users, of which 65.4% were male and 34.5% were male. % of female gender, the age range between 15 to 26 years. Among the most significant descriptive results, it was found that group sports (80.4%) are more practiced than individual sports (19.6%), in private universities. Regarding perceived quality, it was found that most users consider it necessary to have a medical service (99.4%) during the physical activity; on the other hand, in the functionality and comfort factor of the university sports areas, the item that obtained the lowest values refers to the internal communication means for the suggestions or complaints (A = 3.78, SD = 1.109), that is to say that the Users feel little heard in the follow-up of suggestions or complaints by sports organizations. In conclusion, the importance of carrying out periodic evaluations in sports organizations on the offered sports services is determined, in order to establish a philosophy of continuous improvement. As well as the formal incorporation in organization charts and manuals, a profile of a specific position and / or department of sports management within private universities, where the practice of sport and physical activity is encouraged, which will contribute to the comprehensive training of the college students.

Objective We compared the physical activity (PA) patterns and the quality of life (QoL) between overweight and normal-weight boys, and examined the relationship between PA and QoL of overweight boys. Methods Eighteen overweight boys (age range: 8–10 years, mean ± standard deviation: 9.36 ± 0.82 years) and 18 age-matched, normal-weight counterparts (age range: 8–10 years, mean ± standard deviation: 9.01 ± 0.65 years) participated in this study. All participants were in the 3rd or 4th grade. Each boy completed a QoL questionnaire and wore an accelerometer on his waist for a week to measure his PA during that period. Independent t tests were used to examine the differences in QoL and PA between the overweight and normal-weight boys. Paired t tests were used to test the differences in PA between weekdays and weekend days for each group. Finally, Pearson correlations were used to analyze the relationships between PA and QoL in overweight boys. Results Overweight boys reported a significantly lower QoL, and participated in significantly less PA on weekends than did normal-weight boys. A moderate and marginally significant correlation was found between PA on weekends and QoL in overweight boys. Conclusion Our findings suggest the importance of increasing weekend PA for overweight boys. Occupational therapists should encourage overweight boys to engage in PA that the boys are interested in on weekends, and conduct a PA program for overweight boys.

Extant research suggests that student loyalty, a strong bond between the student and university, positively affects important student outcomes, most notably retention. In this article, we advance the notion that academic advisors should become managers of the student–university relationship. We examine the correlation between respondents' perceived quality of academic advising and their loyalty to the university as measured by our recently developed Student University Loyalty Instrument, administered to 1,207 undergraduates at three comprehensive midwestern institutions. Results suggest that a positive relationship exists between the perceived quality of academic advising and student loyalty, other meaningful indicators of the student–university relationship, and specific student demographic characteristics. Recommendations for academic advising practice are shared.

Abstract Introduction: Along with the rising life expectancy, there occurs an increased interest in geriatric care and in assessment of life quality in elderly persons. This study sought to examine the effects of physical activity on the quality of life in students of the University of the Third Age (UTA). Another purpose was to determine correlations between physical activity at a young age and the level of health state and physical activity at the time of the research as well as assessing the effects of socio-demographic factors on the quality of life in elderly individuals. Material and methods: The study included 138 UTA students (113 females and 25 males) aged 50 and above from Warminsko-mazurskie region. The questionnaire consisting of two parts was applied as a research tool. The first part included the authors’ own questionnaire with general questions as well as questions regarding physical activity levels at a young age and at the time of the research. The second part was made up of the standardised WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire (shorter version of WHOQOL) which was used to assess the subjects’ quality of life. Results: No significant differences between physical activity levels at a young age and at the time of the research were noted (p < 0.05). Self-evaluation of both life quality and heath state was significantly higher in individuals engaged in vigorous and moderate physical activity (p < 0.05) than in the other group. Conclusions: Physical activity of UTA students determines their quality of life and health state. Socio-demographic factors such as sex, age and a place of living influence the scores regarding the quality of life in WHOQOL-BREF domains.

Palabra clave: escala, validación, fiabilidad, organizaciones deportivas, calidad.Abstract: The understanding of user satisfaction and consumers of services is a necessity for those responsible for them. Introduction/Objective. Jeune syndrome (JS) is a rare hereditary ciliopathy characterized by asphyxiating thoracic dystrophy, shortened limbs and brachydactyly. Extraskeletal anomalies such as chronic renal failure (CRF), hepatic fibrosis, and retinitis pigmentosa may be a part of the JATD phenotype. The aim of this study is to present long-term follow-up of JS patients with early progressive kidney disease. Methods. This is a retrospective study of pediatric patients with JS and CRF who were treated at the University Children?s Hospital between January 1980 and December 2014. The patients? data were retrospectively reviewed from the medical records. Results. There were thirteen patients from 11 families, five girls and eight boys mean aged 4.3 years at the time of diagnosis. All of the patients had characteristic skeletal findings, retinal degeneration and an early onset of CRF at age range from 1.5 to 7 years. Five patients had neonatal respiratory distress and congenital liver fibrosis was diagnosed in five patients. One patient died due to complications of CRF, while others survived during follow-up of mean 11 years. IFT140 mutations were found in four genetically tested patients. Conclusion. The average incidence rate of JS with renal phenotype in Serbia was about 0.2 per one million of child population. Long-term survival of JS patients depends on renal replacement therapy, while skeletal dysplasia, growth failure, respiratory and eyes problems have impact on the patients? quality of life.

High competition in the higher education sector, especially private universities, has brought a high attention to service quality that can increase students’ satisfaction and their retention rates. This study aimed to investigate the effect of traditional and electronic service quality of private universities in Jakarta on students’ satisfaction. A total of 151 students’ responses from three private universities in Jakarta were collected. A factor analysis with the Principal Component Analysis method with Varimax rotation, Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Importance Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) were performed. The results proved that perceived value of traditional service quality and perceived web value significantly affected student satisfaction. The three indicators of perceived quality provided by administrative staff (b=0.198), perceived quality of university infrastructure (β=0.333), and perceived quality of support services (β=0.362) significantly affected students’ satisfaction while in the context of electronic service quality, only accessibility (β=0.469) and attractiveness (β=0.123) had significant effects on students’ satisfaction. Furthermore, the two-dimensional IPMA matrix indicated the dominance of importance (score=0.621) and performance (score=66.438) of perceived value over the perceived web value.
