This paper presents results regarding the variation of the qualitative parameters of the organic fertilizer machines according to the parameters of the material and control, of the working regime. These results are obtained from mathematical models that interpolate experimental data. The functions thus obtained allow the investigation of the existence of optimal working regimes and, if confirmed, the identification of these operating modes (of the optimal control parameter set: rotational speed, inclination angles, flow rate, etc.). The analysis can be extended to other types of agricultural machinery for the administration of solid organic fertilizers, chemicals or amendments.

An experiment conducted to evaluate the influence of different organic manure on soil properties under glasshouse and open field condition at Khumaltar, Lalitpur during 2017-2018 showed insignificant results on major soil properties by the application of different organic manure under open and protected environmental condition at varying sampling days. The experiment was laid out in Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications and six treatments viz. Vermicompost (VC) @ 10:1 gkg-1 of soil (T1), FYM @ 10:1 gkg-1 of soil (T2), Poultry Manure (PM) @ 10:1 gkg-1 of soil (T3), Safal Kishan (SK) @ 10:1 gkg-1 of soil (T4), Nepalese Organic Fertilizer (NOF) @ 10:1 gkg-1 of soil (T5) and Control (T6). Application of poultry manure and Safal kisan under glasshouse condition recorded higher organic matter (6.40 %) at 90 days and application of poultry manure under open condition at 30 days recorded higher total Nitrogen Content (0.53%). Application of vermicompost and poultry manure under open condition at 60 days have highest available Phosphorous content (381 kgha-1), whereas application of poultry manure under open condition at 60 days was observed having highest available potassium content (782 kgha-1) in the soil.

In recent years, wastes have been reprocessed into useful products, such as organic fertilizer. The application of organic fertilizers in farming practices can produce agricultural products that are safe for human health and the environment. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of liquid organic fertilizer made from fish waste on the growth of Bali red rice seedlings. A Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 8 treatments with 5 replications was applied in this experiment. These included immersing of rice seeds in fish waste fertilizer with concentrations of 0.5% = P1, 1% = P2, 1.5% = P3, 2% = P4, 2.5% = P5 and 3% = P6 with volume/volume ratio (v/v), prior to soaking. Rice seeds without immersion in this fertilizer (C0) and those immersed in PGPR bacterial suspension only (C1) served as nil control and control treatments, respectively. The results showed that the application of 2.5% fish waste fertilizer produced the highest results, following measurement of parameters, including the percentage of germination (88.18%), plant height (28.78 cm), and root length (20, 74 cm) on day 15 after sowing.

AbstractVisuomotor feedback responses vary in intensity throughout a reach, commonly explained by optimal control. Here we show that the optimal control for a range of movements with the same goal can be simplified to a time-to-target dependent control scheme. We measure participants’ visuomotor responses in five reaching conditions, each with different hand or cursor kinematics. Participants only produced different feedback responses when these kinematic changes resulted in different times-to-target. We complement our experimental data with a range of finite and non-finite horizon optimal feedback control models, finding that only the model with time-to-target as one of the input parameters can successfully replicate the experimental data. Overall, this suggests that time-to-target is a critical control parameter in online feedback control. Moreover, we propose that for a specific task and known dynamics, humans can instantly produce a control signal without any computation allowing rapid response onset and close to optimal control.

Organic fertilization provides low cost, supplemental nutrition for plant production. This study aimed to determine the best source and dose of organic fertilizer on the growth of physic nut (Jatropha curcas L.), a potential biodiesel producer. Physic nut seedlings were transplanted to 18 dm³ black plastic pots filled with soil mixed with four sources of organic fertilizer (chicken, fish, cattle manure or urban waste compost) at four dose levels (50, 100, 200 or 400 L m-3). Fertilized and control (no fertilization) plants were grown under shadehouse conditions and morphological plant features were assessed at 30, 60, 90 and 120 days after transplanting. Doses higher than 100 L m-3 of poultry manure mixed with claysoil should be avoided. The use of other sources such as cattle manure, fish manure and composting may be used and result in increase in height, leaf area, SPAD index up to doses of 200 L m-3 manure mixed in clay soil.

Supplementation of inferior quality roughages with organic fertilizer coming up as a practical approach to increasing crop productivity significantly by way of increasing biological nitrogen fixation, increasing availability or uptake of nutrients through solubilization or increasing absorption stimulation of plant growth through hormonal action or antibiosis or decomposition of organic residues and this reflect to improving roughages utilization and digestibility by animal. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of supplementation of three types of organic fertilizers; Neem cake (Azdirachta indica), Argel (Solennostemma argel/Del. Hayenne) and Field fertilizer on nutritional quality of fodder maize (Zea mays L.). Four treatments were conducted which included Neem cake, Argel , Field Fertilizer and control. The experiment was arranged in a Complete Randomized Block Design, with three replicated. The results showed that no significant differences (P ˃ 0.05) were indicated in all nutrient components of fodder maize except for crude protein (CP). CP increased significantly (P ˂ 0.05) by organic fertilizers comparing with control. Neem cake had the highest value of CP than argel and field fertilizer. No significant differences (P ˃ 0.05) were detected in minerals content measured when used Neem cake, Argel and Field fertilizer as organic fertilizer. It is concluded that organic fertilizers enhanced CP content and quality of fodder maize. As advantages, organic fertilizers is a cheap source of nitrogen that deficient in plant, and is safer than using chemical fertilizers and can avoid any adverse effect on animal health , soil and environmental hazards.

Organic fertilizer in many cases can replace mineral fertilizers and in consequence reduce production costs and improve soil quality. Thus, the aim of this work was to evaluate productive, morphogenic and structural characteristics of Piatã grass (Urochloa brizantha) fertilized with urea, organic compost and biofertilizer throughout a year. The trial design was a block split-plot in time (seasons) design with 4 treatments (fertilizing with urea, organic compost, biofertilizer and Control) and 6 repetitions. The evaluated parameters were: dry matter production (DMP), leaf elongation rate (LER), leaf appearance rate (LAR), phyllochron (PHYL), leaf lifespan (LLS), pseudostem elongation rate (SER), final leaf length (FLL), number of live leaves (NLL) and number of tillers (NT). The highest LAR values were observed during summer and spring for the treatment with urea, which also produced the highest LER values. No difference was found in SER among the fertilizer treatments but all fertilized treatments were superior to Control. NT and DMP values were highest (P<0.05) in the treatment with urea, followed by biofertilizer, organic compost and Control. In conclusion, while the use of urea provided greatest forage production, applying biofertilizer gave superior yields to organic compost. Other benefits of organic fertilizers should be assessed as well as combinations of organic and inorganic fertilizers.

An experiment was designed with Randomized Complete Block Designed to investigate the effects of organic and inorganic nitrogen fertilizer at 90 kg N/ha on growth and leaf gas exchange in two varieties of Labisia pumila at 15 weeks after transplanting (WAT). In this study total biomass and photosynthesis (A) were significantly (P≤0.05) different among all factor. The results indicated that chicken manure enhanced the net photosynthetic rate (11.10 µmol/m²/s), stomatal conductance (0.40 mmol/m/s) and transpiration rate (5.30 mmol/m²/s) of L.pumila significantly after 31 weeks of planting. Chicken manure and Gobi indicated higher accumulation on total phenolic and total flavonoid compared to NPK green and control. Organic fertilizers (chicken manure and Gobi) were positively influenced the leaf gas exchange and growth of L.pumila as compared to the NPK green and control. This study proved that organic fertilizer can produce a quality of L. pumila compared to NPK green. Based on the principle of organic fertilizer which is slowly release from organic fertilizer will limit the nutrient availability for plant growth and allocate more carbon to produce secondary metabolites.

Interference in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) predominantly affects the performance of the WSN. Energy consumption in WSN is one of the greatest concerns in the current generation. This work presents an approach for interference measurement and interference mitigation in point to point network. The nodes are distributed in the network and interference is measured by grouping the nodes in the region of a specific diameter. Hence this approach is scalable and isextended to large scale WSN. Interference is measured in two stages. In the first stage, interference is overcome by allocating time slots to the node stations in Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) fashion. The node area is split into larger regions and smaller regions. The time slots are allocated to smaller regions in TDMA fashion. A TDMA based time slot allocation algorithm is proposed in this paper to enable reuse of timeslots with minimal interference between smaller regions. In the second stage, the network density and control parameter is introduced to reduce interference in a minor level within smaller node regions. The algorithm issimulated and the system is tested with varying control parameter. The node-level interference and the energy dissipation at nodes are captured by varying the node density of the network. The results indicate that the proposed approach measures the interference and mitigates with minimal energy consumption at nodes and with less overhead transmission.

How to predict the relationship among particle size and among product size, to establish the relationship between the granularity and working parameters in the process of grinding and to determine the optimum operating parameters. With proposing BS squeeze crush model by L. Bass and the idea of roll surface division as the material uneven extrusion force are adopted. Based on field experiments the experimental data is analyzed, the select function and the breakage functions are fitted with MATLAB software, and obtaining their model. The comminution model is determined by the roller division. We obtain the model parameter through the experimental data. Through model analysis shows: the relationship between particle breakage and energy absorption, namely the smaller size of the same power, the lower broken; the breakage diminishes with the decrease of particle size ratio and it will be tending to a small constant when the smaller particle size ratio. The breakage functions rapidly decrease within ratio of between 0.2-0.7. This shows: the energy consumption will rapidly increase when the particle size of less than 0.2 in broken; the selection diminish with the decrease of particle size. Pressure (8-9MPa) should be the most appropriate value.

In this paper, Linear Quadratic (LQ) optimal control concepts are applied for the active control of vibrations in helicopters. The study is based on an identified dynamic model of the rotor. The vibration effect is captured by suitably augmenting the state vector of the rotor model. Then, Kalman filtering concepts can be used to obtain a real-time estimate of the vibration, which is then fed back to form a suitable compensation signal. This design rationale is derived here starting from a rigorous problem position in an optimal control context. Among other things, this calls for a suitable definition of the performance index, of nonstandard type. The application of these ideas to a test helicopter, by means of computer simulations, shows good performances both in terms of disturbance rejection effectiveness and control effort limitation. The performance of the obtained controller is compared with the one achievable by the so called Higher Harmonic Control (HHC) approach, well known within the helicopter community.
