The purpose of this study is to investigate and compare TOEIC scores before and after applying Kahoot! as a remedial teaching tool on the sample of 180 (6 groups, 30 students each group) first-year students enrolled on the Airline Business Program in the International College, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The research instruments in this study were TOEIC test and all questions on Kahoot! to improve students’ skills in TOEIC test reading section. The researcher applied Kahoot! at the end of 15 classes, 15-20 minutes each class. The researcher analyzed students’ TOEIC scores before and after applying Kahoot! as a remedial teaching tool by calculating TOEIC scores and percentage. The findings show that all average scores in the semester 1/2018 were higher than the score in semester 3/2017 which the score in listening section was more than the one in the reading section. Similarly, in each group, the average score in semester 1/2018 was higher than the score in semester 3/2017 while the score in listening section was more than the one in reading section. Generally, students’ TOEIC scores before applying Kahoot! were higher than after applying Kahoot!. The percentage of difference score before and after employing Kahoot! in the reading section was more than in the listening section. The group that obtained the highest percentage of difference score was group 6, followed by groups 5, 2, 4, 3 and 1, respectively. In part of the listening section, the group that obtained the highest percentage of difference score was group 4, followed by groups 6, 2, 5, 3 and 1, respectively. In part of the reading section, the group that obtained the highest percentage of difference score was group 5, followed by groups 6, 3, 2, 4 and 1, respectively. From Kahoot! score results, the researcher found that the average score, including the percentage of correct answers on Kahoot! tends to get higher. Therefore, lecturers should promote and develop students’ TOEIC test-taking skills in part of its listening and reading sections by means of integrating Kahoot! or other active learning strategies in the everyday classroom.

: This research to find out whether there is the influence of the cooperative to time token type learning model on the learning outcomes of Indonesian language speaking skills in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Massepe. This research uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research and uses a Pre-Experimental design in the form of One Group Pre-test - Post-test Design. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique with a sample of 15 students. The results of hypothesis testing using the One Sample T-Test test obtained a significance of 0.00 (0.00 <0.05) the average score of the pretest was smaller than the average score of the posttest or µ1 ˂ µ2 indicating that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted which means there are differences in the average results of speaking skills of fifth-grade students of  SDN  1  Massepe on  Indonesian language subjects between before and after the use of cooperative learning models of time token types. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is the influence of the cooperative to time token type learning model on the learning outcomes of Indonesian speaking skills in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Massepe.

Cooperative learning is an educational approach which aims to organize classroom activities into academic and social learning experiences (Gillies, 2016). There is much more to cooperative learning than merely arranging students into groups, and it has been described as "structuring positive interdependence. Students must work in groups to complete tasks collectively toward academic goals. Unlike individual learning, which can be competitive in nature, students learning cooperatively can capitalize on one another's resources and skills, asking one another for information, evaluating one another's ideas, and monitoring one another's work, (Chiu, 2008). This study aims to find out how cooperative learning through structured and unstructured grouping schemes compare in terms of their effectiveness in reinforcing students’ Mathematics achievement and the difficulties encountered by the students in both structured and unstructured groups. The one-shot quasi-experimental research design specifically the pre-posttest design was employed in the study. Participants of this study were the first year students of the College of Teacher Education of Cagayan State University. Descriptive and inferential statistics like frequency count, percentage, mean and t-test for dependent and independent samples were used to interpret the data. The integration of cooperative learning strategy, either structured or unstructured grouping schemes reinforce the performance of students in Mathematics. However, cooperative learning has far better results when unstructured grouping scheme is employed among students. Since the students find difficulty on simplifying expressions with rational exponents to radicals, composition of functions, solving linear and quadratic equations and solving word problems on linear and quadratic equations; intervention measures such as modular approach in teaching, simulation activities and remedial teaching were suggested to address such difficulties and to enhance the performance of the students in Mathematics particularly in College Algebra.

Theoretically, the stories in the Qur'an have the advantage to give more impression to human beings so that they can shape attitudes and behavior. Especially for young people, the method of storytelling is easier for them to accept the lessons. This is supported by preliminary findings that when the verses of the Qur'an are gathered which contain the word “youth” in them, then all of the verses contain stories, so this research has a hypothesis that the stories of the Qur'an ( qashash al- Quran ) has an influence in the building of prophetic characters for the younger generation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of the study of the Qur'anic qashash on the prophetic characters building in young generation. This research uses quantitative methods with the type of pre-experimental research using the one group pre-test post-test design. The selection of subjects in this study uses non-random sampling techniques with a purposive sampling method. The subjects of this study were twelve people with poor and good prophetic character categories. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Usuluddin Adab and Da'wah IAIN Langsa for six meetings. The instrument used is a Likert model of Prophetic Character Scale. While data analysis uses non-parametric statistical techniques using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 17.00. The results showed that in general the study of qashash Al-Qur'an was relatively effective in shaping the prophetic character of students. While specifically this study obtained conclusions; there are differences in the average score of prophetic characters before and after the treatment is given in the form of a study of Qashash Al-Qur`an. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the study of Qashash Al-Qur`an on the prophetic characters building in students.

The article analyzes the possibilities of adaptation training as a means of developing the self-efficacy of first-year students. Theoretical and organizational principles of training are substantiated, the content of its separate stages is described, indicators of self-efficiency of students before and after training are compared. The training is based on the analysis of real life situations, specific organization of group work and feedback. The self-efficacy of first-year students develops at three stages of adaptation training: actualization of professional goals, reflection of adaptive resources, value-motivational support of self-efficacy. After getting acquainted and announcing the purpose of the training, students diagnose their own self-efficacy using the author's method "Student Self-Efficacy Profile". The main content of the first stage is the actualization of distant and close professional goals. The second stage of training - reflection on adaptive resources - is the main one. Аbilities can be considered the most relevant adaptation resources. An important property of abilities is the ability to develop. Students need to pay special attention to this. Arguments are sought in their personal value experience. This stage of training is aimed at reflecting their own professional abilities and forming a value attitude towards them. It is important that each trainee realizes that his or her personal set of professional abilities is sufficient to begin the process of professionalization and characterizes him or her individuality. The third stage of training is aimed at developing self-efficacy based on updated adaptation resources. We assume that the motivation for professionalization is provided by two groups of psychological indicators. On the one hand, it is based on personal values (abilities, standards of activity), and on the other - professional goals. Re-diagnosing self-efficacy completes the training. The results of the training show an increase in self-efficacy indicators on scales: goals and motives, abilities, reflection, resistance to failures, self-development.

Abstract Objective This is a pilot study with a primary goal to develop an effective, targeted educational intervention that can serve as a teaching tool to educate African American (AA) population, especially the elderly, on options of end of life (EOL) prior to critical care. Method We first assessed the level of preparation for EOL in the AA community through a survey instrument. The survey was used to determine the deficits in knowledge in AA population in Mid-Michigan regarding EOL choices before and after the educational intervention. Paired-sample t-test was used to assess changes in understanding about EOL planning options. Regressions analysis was used to assess these changes while including several demographic covariates. P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results Our pilot data indicated that the educational intervention could be used as an effective teaching tool in educating AA population on EOL choices. Significance of results AA patients are more likely to choose life-sustaining measures at the end of their lives compared to other ethnic groups despite terminal illness. This decision is partly based on lack of knowledge of the available options of care at the EOL. Due to multiple life-sustaining measures, the AA patients are not receiving the care to help them peacefully die. This study provides evidence that physicians will need to increase their educational efforts with the AA population to help them better understand EOL options. An educational tool like the one developed in this study may be helpful and lessen the time of education so that the physician can answer any questions at the end of the session and also empower individuals and communities to take an active role in creating a culture of wellness at the EOL and decreasing morbidity.
