This research was conducted to estimate exposure and risk of exposure to BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene)by a cross-sectional studying among pregnant women who lived in the vicinity of a petro-chemical industrial estatearea. Personal exposure was monitored by environmental and biological sampling.Other relevant data were gathered by a structured questionnaire for analysis. The relationship between BTEX exposure and potential risk factors was determined by multiple linear regression. Average BTEX exposure levels were 18.89, 29.40, 10.26, and 17.85μg m-3, respectively, which were significantlyhigher than the control group. Urinary metabolite levels of muconic acid(t,t-MA), hippuric acid (HA),mandelic acid (MA), andmethyl-hippuric acid (mHA)were significantly higher in pregnant residents living in the vicinity of the petro-chemical industrial estate area. The correlation between women’s individual exposure to BTEX and theirurinary metabolites showed significantlydifference between groups.Risks of benzene and ethylbenzene exposure for these pregnant subjects were approximately 4.37x10-7 and 1.92x10-8lower than the acceptable limits of United States Environmental Protection Agency(US.EPA.) guidelines(10-6). The hazard index (HI) of these pregnant subjects a lifetime rate was 0.555 which was below the reference level(HI < 1).Multiple linear regression analysis found that t,t-MA, HA, MA, and mHAin the urine of all models were significantly (p<0.05)and positively related with BTEX in ambient air.The study showed that there was a low cancer risk for pregnant women in the petro-chemical industrial estatezone. However, when compared with the control area, a statistically significant difference was found in the relationship between BTEX content in ambient air and metabolites in the urine of pregnantwomen. The implication is that the responsible government agencies should implement health surveillancecontinuously.

Aim: To examine the association between the perceived physical literacy (PL) and physical activity (PA) levels among Chinese undergraduates. Methods: Simplified Chinese version of the Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire were used to measure 536 students’ perceived PL and PA levels. Pearson’s product-moment correlation and multiple linear regression were then used to examine the relationship between the perceived PL and PA levels. Additionally, standard regression analysis was conducted to test for the effects at different demographics. Results: The correlation between perceived PL and PA level was low but significant (r = 0.350, p < 0.01). The multiple linear regression equation was significant (F = 25.228, p < 0.01, ΔR2 = 0.120). Metabolic equivalent values were used to predict PA levels of participants, which were −3818.582 + 272.535 (motivation) + 249.848 (confidence and physical competence) + 149.899 (interaction with the environment). The association of factors such as socio-economic status (SES) (p = 0.092) and grade point average (GPA) (r = 0.119, p = 0.022) were examined using Pearson’s product-moment correlation. Gender (p < 0.01) and body mass index (BMI) (p < 0.01) were also explored for their differences. Conclusions: Perceived PL and PA levels were significantly related. The association between PL and GPA was identical. GPA and BMI showed significant difference between each group. The study offers a path to explore the concept of PL and how it can affect the PA of Chinese undergraduates. Furthermore, on the basis of this study, more research could develop practical interventions for Chinese undergraduates to enhance their PL and engagement in a lifetime of PA.

In recent years, a large number of automatic equipment has been introduced into the chemical fiber filament doffing production line, but the related research on the fully automatic production line technology is not yet mature. At present, it is difficult to collect data due to test costs and confidentiality. This paper proposes to develop a simulation platform for a chemical fiber filament doffing production line, which enables us to effectively obtain data and quantitatively study the relationship between the number of manual interventions and other process parameters of the production line. Considering that the parameter research is a multi-factor problem, an orthogonal test was designed by using SPSS software and was carried out by using a simulation platform. The multiple linear regression (MLR) and the neural network optimized by genetic algorithm were adopted to fit the relationship between the number of manual interventions and other parameters of the production line. The SPSS software was applied to obtain the standardized coefficients of the multiple linear regression fitting and the neural network mean impact value (MIV) algorithm was applied to obtain the magnitude and direction of the impact of different parameters on the number of manual interventions. The above results provide important reference for the design of similar new production lines and for the improvement of old production lines.

This  research  is  aimed at  analyzing  the  effect  of  relationship  marketing  on  the commitment of company, communication of company and the complaint handling of PT. ELI on the loyalty of supplier of tobacco with manual drying in East Lombok. The  data  were  collected  through  questionnaire  and  verified  with validation  and reliability test. The data then were analyzed using classic assumption, multiple linear regression, significance test, and certain use of parameter to proof the hypothesis. The research showed that there is partially and simultaneously significant effect of relationship     marketing     consisting     of     company     commitment,     company communication,  and complaint  handling of  PT  ELI on the  loyalty of  supplier of tobacco with manual drying in east Lombok. Of the relationship marketing of PT ELI that  has  a  dominant effect  of  the  loyalty  of  supplier  in  East  Lombok  is  the commitment of company. The level of effect of commitment of company is 24.10 percent (the value of r2X1Y) on the loyalty of supplier. The simultaneous effect of the three dimensions of relationship marketing is 50.40 percents (R2   =0.504) on the loyalty of supplier, categorized as the high criteria. One of the suggestions for the management of PT ELI is to improve partnership with the supplier, with the concept that may be applied as well as possible in order that the partnership can give sustainable and high economic benefit for the farmers. Keywords:  relationship, marketing  (Company, commitment, communication,  and complain handling) and loyalty of Supplier

The development of Islamic economics in banking practices in society develops innovatively. Various sharia banking products have become the people's choice in supporting their daily economic activities. The same thing also happened to students. The purpose of study is to analyze the religiosity effect of students' interest in saving for Islamic banking with knowledge as intervening variable. Multiple linear regression is an analytical technique used here, with hypothesis testing and path analysis to support its conclusions. The result of this study is that the level of religiosity significantly effects on students' interest in saving for Islamic banking with positive relationship. Likewise, knowledge is able mediate the relationship between the religiosity variable and students' interest in saving.

This paper presents a method of analysis which differentiates between spruce budworm caused mortality and regular mortality on balsam fir in the Gatineau region in Quebec. A first attempt was made using multiple linear regression and a uniform random number generator. In order to overcome the bias inherent to the least squares method when dealing with a binary (0,1) dependent variable, a profit analysis was also conducted. In this case, the parameters and their variance were estimated using likehood method. These two approaches proved to be equivalent when percent budworm caused mortality was compared within the 1958 to 1979 period covered by the data at hand, while the outbreak lasted from 1968 to 1975.In 1979, approximately 55% of the stems had been killed by the budworm, accounting for 53% of the volume. Maple-yellow birch associations were more affected than fir associations although no significant difference was found. Fir mortality was delayed by aerial spraying of insecticides but this advantage disappeared as soon as the spray operations came to an end.

The purpose of present study is to build a multiple linear regression model using biomechanical theory to assess the relationship of pulse wave velocity (PWV) with blood pressure, height and age. By testing the PWV, blood pressure, height, weight of 164 female adults aged above 45 and existing data, the author constructed a multiple linear regression equation. Through comparing the practical test PWV values with the estimate values from regression model, the result showed that there was no significant difference between the model assessment and practical test values (t=0.833, p=.423>.05). Therefore, the regression model is fit for assessing PWV value by height, age, systolic and diastolic pressure.
