This study aims to improve the mathematical communication ability of junior highschool students. Research using cooperative learning model type Student Teams AchievementDivision (STAD) and Buzz Group type. This research uses two classes namely class VII-A andVII-E SMPN 3 Parongpong, West Bandung. The test instrument is a test of mathematicalcommunication ability on the subject of data presentation. Non-test instruments are aquestionnaire of student responses to know their preferences and benefits for mathematicslearning. The test used is t-test at the 0.05 significance level. The results showed that: 1)Student's mathematical communication ability before obtaining cooperative learning typeStudent Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and Buzz Group type are not different and are inlow category. After the treatment of mathematical communication experience Improvement.Increased mathematical communication ability of students who obtained cooperative learningmodel type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and Buzz Group type increased inhigh category, 2) There was no significant difference in the improvement of mathematicalcommunication ability between students who obtained cooperative learning model type StudentTeams Achievement Division (STAD) and Buzz Group type, 3) Student response indicates thatstudents are very fond of cooperative learning model of Student Teams Achievement Division(STAD) type and Buzz Group type.

The purpose of this research was to know there was any difference in student’s mathematical communication ability in cooperative learning Think TalkWrite (TTW) type and Numbered Head Together (NHT) type. The population was all students at SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam. The sample was two classes which each consist of 36 students, VII A as experimental class I which taught by TTW and VII B as experimental class II which taught by NHT. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling. Collecting data technique of this research was mathematical comunication ability essay test that was given in the end of learning either in experimental class I or experimental class II. From the data analysis of each of experimental class were obtained that the average of posttest score in TTW classroom was higher than in NHT classroom. It was also obtained that score of mathematical communication indicators in TTW classroom was higher than in NHT classroom. From the data analysis of posttest score by using t-test with significance level α = 0.05, it was obtained that tcount = 4.687 and ttable = 1.667. It means that tcount > ttable then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. So, it can be concluded that there was difference of student’s mathematical communication ability who taught by cooperative learning model type TTW with NHT at SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam.

This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of the cooperative learning model type TAI "Team Assisted Individulization" and type STAD "Student Teams Achievement Divisions" as a learning model in improving the critical thinking of elementary school students of class V in science subjects. This experimental research was in the form of a Quasi Experimental Design. The research design used is a quasi-experimental research using the nonequivalent control group design pattern. This research is an experimental research conducted at SD Negeri Polobogo 03 and SD Negeri Polobogo 02 which are located in Polobogo Village. The research was conducted from February to March in the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022 which was carried out in class V. The samples in this study were obtained through probability sampling techniques with purposive random sampling type. Based on the research results, the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model type TAI "Team Assisted Individulization" showed an average increase of 28.57% greater than the cooperative learning model type STAD "Student Teams Achievement Divisions" which was 26.75%. Based on the results of the research hypothesis test using the mean difference test on the independent sample t-test, it shows that there is a significant difference between the cooperative learning model of the TAI type "Team Assisted Individulization" and the cooperative learning model of the STAD type "Student Teams Achievement Divisions" in terms of ability results. critical thinking of students in science subjects.

This study aims to determine the differences of cooperative learning model of Student Teams Achievment Division (STAD) type and conventional learning on the competence of IPS knowledge of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Gugus Pattimura of the academic year 2016/2017 on the theme of Kayanya Negeriku. This study is an experimental study to compare IPS knowledge competence which is taught by cooperative learning model of STAD type and students who are taught by conventional learning using scientific approach. The research design used is a quasi-experimental design with noquivalent control group design. The population in the study were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri Gugus Pattimura. Sampling technique using randoms sampling then conducted equality test on the sample. Then proceed with a prerequisite test that obtains the result that the sample group is normally distributed and has a homogeneous variance. After the prerequisite test, the hypothesis test is done with the criterion tcount ≤ ttable at 5% significance level and dk = 38 + 40 - 2 = 76 is 2.00. Based on result of hypothesis test obtained tcount = 2,64, then result of tcount compared with ttable that get result tcount > ttable. The conclusion of this research is that there is a significant difference in the mastery of IPS knowledge competence of the group of students who are taught using STAD type cooperative learning model and the group of students who are taught using conventional learning.

Mathematical communication ability of learners is still relatively low, this is allegedly caused by the conventional learning model that is still applied by educators. The authors in this study apply cooperative type model of TPS assisted investigative approach, because the type and approach is expected to be suitable to improve the mathematical communication ability of learners. The purpose of this research is to see the effect of Cooperative Learning Model Type Think Pair Share (TPS) assisted by an Investigation Approach to Mathematical Communication Ability. In this research including quantitative research because the data is processed in the form of numbers. Use experimental experimental quasy experiment type. To know the effect on the ability of mathematical communication owned peserta didiksetelah applied learning model is the purpose of the implementation of research. The instrument in this research is the test of mathematical communication ability on the matter of scale and comparison. Further data that have been obtained will be calculated by using Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) one unequal cell road. The result of this research is there is influence of thinking pair share learning model assisted by investigative approach to mathematical communication ability of learner, which in class which applied by model of learning pair help coupled with better investigation of mathematical communication ability compared with conventional learning model and TPS learning model.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT, dan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan  pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih tinggi daripada tipe NHT SMP Negeri 2 Hinai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental dengan populasi seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 2 Hinai kelas VIII, sebagai sampel diambil dua kelas secara acak yaitu siswa kelas VIII-A yang berjumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan siswa kelas VIII-D yang berjumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 2. Kelas eksperimen 1 diberikan pembelajaran matematika dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan kelas eksperimen 2 dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu jenis instrument yaitu  post-test only yang telah divalidasi dalam bentuk uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai kemampuan komunikasi matematis  (post-test) siswa di kelas eksperimen 1 sebesar 67,01 dan nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis (post-test) siswa di kelas eksperimen 2 sebesar 60,54. Untuk uji hipotesis digunakan uji t pihak kanan , dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh  thitung = 1,913 dan ttabel = 1,669, sehingga thitung > ttabel yaitu 1,913 > 1,669 maka yang berarti bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT SMP Negeri 2 Hinai.Kata Kunci: eksperimen semu, Think Pair Share , Numbered Head Together  ABSTRACTThis research to determine students 'mathematical communication ability using cooperative learning model of TPS type with students' mathematical communication ability using NHT type cooperative learning model, and to know whether the mathematical communication ability of students with cooperative learning type of TPS is higher than NHT type SMP Negeri 2 Hinai. This study uses one type of instrument that is post-test only that has been validated in the form of a description. The results showed that the average score of mathematical communication ability (post-test) of students in experiment class 1 was 67.01 and the mean score of students' mathematical communication ability (post-test) in experimental class 2 was 60,54. To test the hypothesis used t right side test, from the calculation result obtained tcount = 1.913 and ttable = 1.669, so tcount> ttable is 1.913> 1.669 then that means that H0 rejected and Ha accepted. This research aims to describe the students’ mathematical communication ability by using cooperative learning talking stick type. This research conducted at one of junior high school in Asahan-North Sumatera- North Sumatera. This research used posttest experimental class design as the method to obtain data. The indicators used to measure mathematical communication ability in this research arranged in three, as follows: 1) the ability of explaining a mathematical problem into figure; 2) the ability to explain mathematical problem situations by own words; 3) the ability of stating a mathematical problem in writing into mathematical models and doing calculation to solve the problem. The result found from this research is there are the differences in the students’ way of answering the problem even though the learning model and the instrument used is same.

This study aims to determine (1) the mathematical communication ability of students taught by the gallery walk type cooperative learning model is higher than the mathematical communication skills of students taught by conventional learning models (2) student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to communication skills. mathematics students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. Sampling using simple random sampling. The sample is class VII-2 as the experimental class and class VII-1 as the control class. Data collection using a mathematical communication ability test sheet.The results showed (1) t_(count )= 3.56 and t_(table )= 1.67 or) t_(count ) > t_(table ) so that it can be concluded that students' mathematical communication skills are taught by cooperative learning model type gallery walk is higher than the mathematical communication ability of students who are taught by conventional learning models. (2) Based on the results of student responses, an average score of 3.55 was obtained so that it can be concluded that student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to the mathematical communication skills of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan students were very positive.

This study aimed to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type teams scramble tournament games based scramble on motivation and learning outcomes students SMA Kristen GPID Palu. The population in this study were all students of class X. The research sample was students (n = 25) of class Xa as a control class and students (n= 24) of class Xb as an experiment class. The testing of student’s learning outcomes data was using the statistical analysis t-test of the two parties and the testing of student’s' motivation using the questionnaire data used a descriptive analysis. The average score of student’s learning outcomes of the experiment class (X1) was 52.83 with a standard deviation of 11.97 and the control class (X2) was 48.12 with a standard deviation of 11.37. Based on the statistical analysis of the hypothesis by t-test two parties, it was obtained that –ttable ≤ tcalculation ³ +ttable (tcalculation = 2.09 and ttable = 2.02) with a significance level a = 0.05 and degrees of freedom = 47, then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, therefore it can be said that there is a difference in student’s learning outcomes using cooperative learning model type teams tournament games based scramble. The results of the data analysis of student motivation indicated that the percentage value for the experimental class was 83.4% and for the control class was 81.21% and both were on the agrees attitude with the positive category, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the cooperative learning model type teams scramble tournament games based scramble on motivation and learning outcomes of students SMA Kristen GPID Palu.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the cooperative Student Teams Achievement Devision (STAD) learning model on the ability to understand students 'mathematical concepts and students' responses to the STAD cooperative learning model type. This research method is a quasi experimental method. This research was conducted in State 2 Junior High School of Sorkam at the even semester of the 2016/2017 Academic Year. The sample of this study was class VIIIA as the experimental class and VIIIB as the control class. From the research data obtained a regression equation Y = 74,857 + 8.857X (there is a positive effect). The average value of students' understanding of mathematical concepts learned by the STAD cooperative learning model is 83,714, while the conventional learning model is 74,857. The coefficient of determination is 21.6%, meaning that 21.6% of the influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts. The results of the analysis of student responses were obtained (1) by 98.2% stating they were interested and the rest not; (2) amounting to 95.05% stating that there are benefits obtained and the rest not; (3) amounting to 86.78% stated that there were no obstacles experienced during the learning process and the rest stated there were; (4) 94.04% hoped the STAD type cooperative learning model was used in the learning process and the rest did not expect. So, it can be concluded that the student response is very positive because the average percentage of student approval responses to the STAD type cooperative learning model is ≥ 85%.

This study aims to determine the differences in physics learningoutcomes using cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together Sheet-assisted Student Activity with direct instruction model in the subjectmatter Geometric Optics in Class X Semester 2 SMAN 7 T.P. 2012/2013. The population in this study were all students of class X consists of 9 parallelclasses. The study sample comprised 2 classes taken by cluster randomsampling is a class X-3 as a class experiment given cooperative learningmodel Numbered Heads Together Student Activity Sheet assisted and X-9 asa control class with direct instructional model, each of which consists of 40students. Pretest data obtained average value is the experimental class andcontrol class 34.90 is 37.10. After being given a different treatment to thesecond class, the average values obtained posttest for the experimental classwas 73.20 and 66.80 control class. The results of testing hypotheses obtainedt-test = 2.78 and t-table = 1.99 at  significance level α = 0.05 and df = 78, ttest>t-table. It showed no significant difference in the learning outcomes of students using cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together Sheet assisted Student Activity with learning model directly in the subject matterOptical Geometry in class X Semester 2 SMAN 7 T.P. 2012/2013.
