Abstract  This review clearly demonstrates the dramatic impact of a C-section on the morbidity for both mother (pyhsical and emotional) and child (especially related to adverse microbiom development in the growing infant). In addition millions of women who suffer symptoms both locally around the surgical site and more importantly distant effects related to sympathetic up-regulation, mainly through fascial/ fibrotic nerve  stimulation. Our experience of the application of Micro Point Stimulation Scar Release therapy  to C- section scars resulted in markedly improved pain in these patients who had long-standing  symptoms  The preliminary but impressive ultrasound findings showing the dramatic reduction in the fibrous/fascial mass after just one session of Micro Point Stimulation Scar therapy of 35 secs adds credence to the efficacy of this procedure in relieving pain symptoms from a simple inexpensive method of treatment. Micro Point Stimulation scar release therapy impacts on distant locations of pain; this challenges the traditionally held concepts of diseases and its  pathophysiology. Abdominal and C-section scars may now be viewed as significant systemic contributors to pain and  dysfunction throughout the entire body. The overuse of C-sections cannot be justified and it is imperative that the entire practice be reviewed  to stem the rising use of this procedure. Where ever possible a delivery should happen in home friendly environment, which is conducive to good health for mother and child.

AbstractIntroduction:Border Guards service requirements are very specific. Very good health and excellent psycho-physical condition are the main factors that determine effectiveness and reliability of designated tasks. Disorders of nutritional status, such as underweight, overweight or obesity not only impairs well-being, but also are health problem associated with limitation of possibilities to perform Border Guard's tasks and duties and can lead to earlier elimination from the service. The aim of the study was to assess nutritional status, using two indicators: Body Mass Index (BMI) and Fat Mass Index (FMI).Materials and methods:The study was carried out with participation of 259 Border Guards (64 women and 195 men), aged 38 ± 6; years of service: 12 ± 6. An electric bioimpedance method (TANITA MC-780) was used to determine body composition. Body Mass Index (BMI [kg/m2] = body mass [kg] / height2 [m2]) and Fat Mass Index FMI [kg/m2] = fat mass [kg] / height2 [m2]) were calculated for each of the participants. Results and discussion:Examined group of Polish Border Guards officers was characterized by a large variety of assessed anthropometric indicators. According to the BMI classification excess body mass was more often (p < 0.001) observed in men (68%) than in women (25%) and according to the FMI classification excess fat was also more often (p < 0.001) observed in men (55%) than in women (28%). BMI classification of overweight or obese was observed in 41 of participants with the normal FMI level. Fat percentage of women with normal BMI ranged from 11.6 to 33.5% and tat percentage of men with normal BMI ranged from 7.3 to 21.6%. There are difficulties in BMI interpretation in adults with increased physical activity. It seems more reasonable to assess correctness of nutritional status on the basis of an analyze of FMI value, as this indicator assesses degree of fatness, and not the entire body weight, which, in case of uniformed services usually is greater due to extensive muscle mass, which can increase BMI value. It is necessary to take educational activities in the field of health promotion of these people, with a focus on nutrition prevention of metabolic civilization diseases, as well as to motivate Border Guards officers to respect basic principles of proper nutrition to maintain proper body mass and fat mass.

Ayurveda has described three basic physiological constituents of the human body, viz., Dosha, Dhatu and Mala. In Ayurvedic Science, the one who has balanced Doshas, balanced Agni, properly formed Dhatus, proper elimina- tion of Malas, well-functioning of bodily processes and whose mind, soul, senses are full of bliss is called a healthy person1. So, the formation of Dhatu is also a good indicator of good health there are seven Dhatus ex- plained in Samhitas, those are Rasa, Rakta, Mamsa, Meda, Ashti, Majja and Shukra among all Dhatus, Shukra is considered as the sara of all other Dhatus2. Shukra Dhatu is one of the seven Dhatus in the body and Shukra is white, pure, excellent Dhatu, which is considered as best among all seven Dhatus. According to many Acharyas of Ayurveda, Garbhotpadana (reproduction) is the chief function of Shukra Dhatu, and the important fact is Shukra Dhatu also shows its effect all over the body in the form of Shukradhatusarata because Shukradhatuis located in the entire body. Sperm along with spermatic fluid and male sex hormones are also one part of Shukra Dhatu. Anu Shukra Dhatu (primordial germ cell) is essential for the Shukra Dhatu (Testosterone, Estrogen). Vi- tiation of Shukra dhatu shows Shukra dhatudusti (pathology) in the form of Vriddhi (hyper state) or Kshaya (wan- ing). This vitiation may lead to main infertility and many other physical as well as psychological disorders. All Dhatus have their definite locations in the body; they are present in every cell in subtle form. Every cell possesses the capacity to divide or reproduce itself. Thus, one has to interpret the Garbhotpadana (reproduction) function of Shukra Dhatu. In future, it may be achievable that with the development of the facts; we will discover any content in the cell whichpossesses a definite role in cell division.Sperms along with spermatic fluid and male sex hor- mones are also one Partofshukra, parallel to which females possess Artava. Stri-Shukra excreted during coitus is nothing but the secretions of bartholins, cervical and endometrial glands emergence at theendoforgasm. Keywords:Ayurveda, Stree-Shukra, Shukra Dhatu, Artava, hormones.

Although yoga is considered as a science for spiritual growth of mankind, many studies have shown that various streams of yoga render many physical as well as psychological benefits to the practitioners. Studies based on Yogic intervention (YI) on Major Depressive disorders (MDD) have shown extremely positive outcomes in recent times (1,2). The antidepressant medications which target the monoamine framework were unable to answer to the neurobiological mechanisms of MDD. Gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA), an amino acid neurotransmitter is known to be an important factor in the pathophysiology of mood disorders (3). In this US based study the design was to track the changes in GABA in MDD through a Yogic Intervention based on Iyenger yoga tradition. The study reports that YI does influence the change in GABA level through the stimulation of parasympathetic response.

Fashion is the popular or the latest style of clothing or behaviour that evolves with time. Fashion may influence the way of living of the society. The current fashion scene presents to the general public an abundance of fashion trends. However, most of them tend to accentuate the figure of the wearer which does not meet the concept of covering aurah properly, with designs that are see-through or close-fitting. This matter must be taken into consideration since covering the aurah is compulsory in the Islamic Law. This article, therefore, discusses women fashion according to the Islamic perspective and its impact on their physical and spiritual health. From the physical aspect, dressing according to the Islamic way can balance the stimulation of the hormone and mind.  In addition to regulating the body temperature through the head, it coordinates the balance between a healthy body and good brain functioning. It also aids in the development of a great intellect and motivation, and it encourages the development of positive behaviour. Meanwhile, from the spiritual aspect, it deepens their faith and piety to Allah, as well as gives high confidence and self-esteem in the women. It also preserves their dignity and honour. Hence, the fundamentals of the fashion design that is based on the Islamic way of dressing are beneficial in attaining the blessings from Allah and maintaining a good health.

Longitudinal vaginal septum is a rare Müllerian malformation that may be associated with dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, primary amenorrhea, and infertility. In this report, the authors present a case of longitudinal vaginal septum in a 15-year-old patient with a full-term pregnancy whose diagnosis was only made during labor following bidigital vaginal and speculum examination. Septoplasty was performed during the second stage of labor. Both mother and child progressed satisfactorily and were discharged from hospital in good health. Six months later, ultrasonography, hysterosalpingography, and hysteroscopy were carried out and no other associated abnormality was found.

Background. With regard to the therapy for early invasive cervical carcinoma during pregnancy, radical trachelectomy is also a treatment of choice, along with its advantages and disadvantages.Case Report. A 28-year-old woman, para 1-0-0-1, was diagnosed with FIGO stage IB1 squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix at 12 weeks of gestation. The patient underwent radical abdominal trachelectomy with pelvic lymphadenectomy at 17 weeks of gestation. Her pregnancy was successfully maintained after the surgery. The patient underwent a planned cesarean section at 38 weeks of gestation. A healthy baby girl weighing 2970 g was born with an Apgar score of 8/9. The mother and child in overall good health were discharged. Ten months after the delivery, there was no clinical evidence of recurrence.Conclusions. We believe that it is appropriate to perform radical abdominal trachelectomy in the early second trimester with preserving uterine arteries, although it is a technically challenging approach. It may be possible that radical abdominal trachelectomy during pregnancy can help women avoid the triple losses of a desired pregnancy, fertility, and motherhood.

Yokukansan, one of the traditional Japanese herbal medicines, ameliorated neuropathic pain symptoms in patients. In this study, we investigated the effects of yokukansan on neuropathic pain in chronic constriction injury (CCI) model. Oral administration of yokukansan significantly inhibited mechanical and cold allodynia in the von Frey hair or acetone test, respectively. In comparison, amitriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, demonstrated moderate, but not significant, antiallodynic effects in the mechanical and cold tests. Yokukansan significantly inhibited the cerebrospinal fluid dialysate level of glutamate that had increased by the stimulation of brush or acetone. Glutamate transporter inhibitors, DL-threo-beta-hydroxy aspartate and dihydrokainate, decreased the yokukansan-induced antiallodynic actions in CCI rats. Our results suggest that yokukansan was confirmed to have antiallodynic effects in CCI rats, which are related to a blockade of glutamatergic neurotransmission via activation of glutamate transporters in the spinal cord.

Oral health is a reflection of systemic health. The various nutritional deficiencies not only affect the systemic health but also have an impact on oral health. The prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency (VDD) is rampant globally. Vitamin D (VD) is not only essential for skeletal growth during childhood and adulthood but has a great impact on oral tissues and odontogenesis. VDD has several implications on oral health from childhood to adulthood. VD can negatively influence the oral health of the mother and child and VD supplementation brings positive outcomes during and after pregnancy. In children, severe VDD can impair tooth mineralization, resulting in defects of enamel and dentin and predispose patients to caries. A remarkably high prevalence of periodontitis is seen in VDD and has implications on systemic health as well. A high prevalence of VDD is seen in oropharyngeal cancers. This review aims to provide the biological role of VD and its receptor, its implication on oral health and future strategies for targeted therapies in oral pathologies.
