Neste artigo relata-se um estudo que buscou compreender em que medida a participação de estudantes da graduação como mediadores nas diversas atividades de um projeto extensionista da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES), o Show de Física, impactou em seus respectivos processos formativos. Trata-se de um projeto de extensão universitária que tem o objetivo de despertar o interesse e a curiosidade dos estudantes e promover a divulgação da ciência Física. Entende-se essa pesquisa como sendo de cunho qualitativo e de caráter exploratório. Para a produção dos dados, os mediadores que participaram da atividade extensionista foram convidados a narrar suas experiências no Show de Física. A partir do retorno de 21 participantes, utilizou-se os pressupostos da Análise Textual Discursiva para interpretar as contribuições dessa atividade para o desenvolvimento pessoal, profissional e acadêmico desses graduandos. Os resultados apontam aprendizagens do ponto de vista atitudinal (como a importância do trabalho em equipe e das relações interpessoais), profissional (domínio do conteúdo subjacente aos experimentos e a criação e valorização de uma identidade profissional), de enculturação acadêmica (como o desenvolvimento da escrita acadêmica, a coleta e análise de dados e a participação em congressos) e ainda uma satisfação pessoal em participar do projeto Show de Física. It is a university extension project that aims to arouse the interest and curiosity of students and promote the dissemination of physical science. This research was qualitative and exploratory. For the obtaining data, the mediators who participated in the extension activity were invited to narrate their experiences at the Physics Show. The assumptions of Textual Discursive Analysis were used to interpret the contributions to professional and academic development, from the response of 21 participants to the survey. The results suggested learning from an attitudinal point of view (such as the importance of teamwork, interpersonal relationships), professional (mastery of the content underlying the experiments, and the creation and valorization of professional identity), academic enculturation (such as the development of academic writing, data collection and analysis, participation in congresses), and personal satisfaction in participating in the Physics Show Project. Este texto objetiva apresentar resultados de uma pesquisa que investiga os “usos” que os professores e os alunos fazem dos cadernos da realidade produzidos pelos alunos do curso de Licenciatura em Educação do Campo da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo. Problematiza o modo como os usos desses cadernos expressam os currículos pensadospraticados. Utiliza, como aporte teórico-metodológico, o pensamento de Michel de Certeau (1994), Deleuze e Parnet (1977), Deleuze e Guattari (2015) e Lazaratto (2006; 2014). Aponta que os alunos fazem usos diversos dos cadernos: favorecer a memória, como indicam os textos que tratam desse instrumento; planejar suas ações; desabafar e fazer o pensamento movimentar, delirar, etc. Já os professores usam os cadernos para avaliar os processos de aprenderensinar e nos movimentos de invenções curriculares, pois acreditam que “uso” é poética, é invenção. Foi evidenciado ainda que os cadernos da realidade são agenciamentos maquínicos de desejo, ou seja, agenciamentos coletivos de enunciação que possibilitam movimentar o pensamento e abrir fissuras paradigmáticas. Afirma, assim, a necessidade de abrir/criar espaçostempos e redes de conversações para que professores e alunos possam dialogar sobre as escrileituras desses cadernos, a fim de ampliar e potencializar os processos inventivos dos currículos pensadospraticados na Educação do Campo.Palavras-chave: Cadernos da Realidade; Pedagogia da Alternância; Currículos pensadospraticados; Educação do Campo. ABSTRACT: This text aims to present results of a research that investigates the uses that teachers and students make of the notebook of reality poduced by the undergraduate students of the field of the Federal University of Espírito Santo. It problematizes the way in which the uses of these notebooks express the thoughtful curricula. It uses as a theoretical-methodological contribution the thought of Michel de Certeau (1994), Deleuze and Parnet (1977), Deleuze and Guattari (2015) and Lazaratto (2006, 2014). He points out that the students make different uses of the notebooks: to favor memory, as indicated in the texts that deal with this instrument; plan your actions; and to make the thinking move, delirious... The teachers use the notebooks to evaluate the learning processes and the movements of curricular inventions, because they believe that "use" is poetic, it is invention. It was also evidenced that the notebook of reality are machinic assemblages of desire, that is, collective assemblages of enunciation that make it possible to move thoughts and open paradigmatic fissures. It thus affirms the need to open /create spaces and networks of conversations so that teachers and students can talk about the writing of these notebooks, in order to broaden and enhance the inventive processes of the curricula considered in countryside education.Keywords: Notebook of reality; Pedagogy of Alternation; Thoughtful curricula; Countryside education.

RESUMO: Este artigo analisa duas cartas escritas na década de 70 do século XX da artista Fayga Ostrower para a Coordenadora da Galeria de Arte e Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo-GAP/UFES, Jerusa Margarida Gueiros Samu. Utiliza como referencial teórico-metodológico a teoria semiótica desenvolvida por A. J. Greimas e tem como objetivo apreender os sentidos do texto, num percurso que vai do formal ao afetuoso e a tornar explícitos os mecanismos implícitos de estruturação dos textos. As cartas como ato de presença reconstroem a história da artista e de sua relação com a Galeria da UFES. O texto estrutura-se em três partes: na primeira, contextualiza as cartas e discute a prática epistolar; na segunda, analisa as cartas, tendo como metodologia o percurso gerativo de sentido e na terceira, realiza um estudo comparativo entre as duas cartas analisadas. Entendendo a prática epistolar como uma prática dialógica, o trabalho conclui que o simulacro do sujeito inscrito no texto demonstrou a possibilidade da conjunção trabalho-prazer-satisfação. Demonstra, ainda, a partir do percurso do actante-sujeito e dos papéis temáticos aí investidos, a possibilidade de apreensão de novas possibilidades para as relações interpessoais que se dão no ambiente de trabalho e da maneira como deveríamos cultivá-las.Palavras-chave: carta como documento; semiótica; arte ABSTRACT: This article analyzes two letters written in the 70's of the 20th century by the artist Fayga Ostrower for the Coordinator of the Art Gallery of Federal University of Espírito Santo, Jerusa Margarida Gueiros Samu. It uses as theoretical-methodological reference the semiotic theory developed by A. J. Greimas and collaborators. The research aims to apprehend the meanings of the epistolary text, in a path that goes from the formal to the affectionate, making explicit the implicit mechanisms of structuring the texts. The letters as an act of presence reconstruct the history of the artist and her relationship with the UFES Gallery.The text is structured in three parts: in the first, it contextualizes the letters and discusses the epistolary practice; in the second, analyzes the letters having as methodology the generative path of meaning and in the third, compares the two letters. Understanding the epistolary practice as a dialogical practice, the paper concludes that the simulacrum of the subject inscribed in the text demonstrated the possibility of the conjunction work-pleasure-satisfaction-friendship. The research also demonstrates, from the course of the subject actant and the thematic roles invested there, the possibility of apprehension of new possibilities for the interpersonal relationships that occur in the work environment and the way we should cultivate them.Keywords: Letter as document – Semiotics – Art.

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of satisfaction of pharmaceutical services and to determine the socioeconomic profile of public pharmacy clients. This is a cross-sectional observational study using a quantitative approach. The sample was calculated from the monthly number of patients seen in pharmacies and was stratified for each pharmacy. Data were analysed using SPSS 11.5 software and by observing the simple relative frequencies for qualitative variables. For the quantitative variables, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post-hoc Fisher tests were performed. Data are expressed as mean ± standard deviation (SD). The results show that, in general, patients at "Farmácias cidadãs" are satisfied with the services. However, when stratified, we found that the greatest satisfaction was related only to structural and organizational aspects, while the pharmaceutical services are unsatisfactory. When relating satisfaction to the socioeconomic characteristics, a difference between waiting time (39.07 ± 19.53), attendance by pharmacist (8.91 ± 5.14) and education was observed. It is concluded that users are satisfied with the services of state "Farmácias cidadãs" of Espírito Santo, but there should be improvements in relation to pharmaceutical services and the interpersonal relationships between health professionals and users of the public health system in Brazil.

Abstract The genus Schinus (Anacardiaceae) comprises 30 species found in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. Schinus terebinthifolia (Brazilian pepper tree) is socioeconomically important in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. Dried fruit is used as a pepper-like spice and natural populations are exploited. Studies on the meiotic behavior and pollen stainability from an ecological and evolutionary point of view are essential, since they can promote future sustainable management strategies for this species. The objective was to evaluate meiotic behavior and characteristics of pollen grains of individuals from a natural population of S. terebinthifolia localized in the municipality of Vitória, Espírito Santo state, Brazil. Young anthers were squashed in 1% acetocarmine dye to obtain the pollen mother cells. The pollen stainability with 1% acetocarmine, Lugol’s iodine solution and Sudan IV and pollen shape were used to assess the pollen potential viability, cytochemistry and morphology. All individuals had a gametic number of n = 7, a regular meiotic behavior and so the somatic number is 2n = 2x = 14 chromosomes. Median pollen stainability was 94%. Pollen grains are dispersed as monads, 3 - colporate and subspheroidal. The exine has striate-reticulate ornamentation. Pollen grains are starch positive and lipid negative. This is the first report of the occurrence of diploidy for the species. The high pollen stainability is the result of the occurrence of regular meiosis. The presence of starch as pollen reserve can increase the resistance of pollen grains to hostile environments in this species.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge and confidence of undergraduate dentistry students in clinical stage about emergency situations in a public higher education institution in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil.METHODS: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study in which a questionnaire with 12 multiple choice questions was used to evaluate the level of knowledge and confidence of dentistry students. In addition, a long answer question was used in order to describe any previous experience and treatment approaches.RESULTS: The results showed that almost all undergraduate students perform preliminary evaluation of the patient, including anamnesis (99.28%) and blood pressure assessment (94.28%), which are extremely important to avoid emergencies. Among participants, 50.71% claimed to feel confident on clinical care of patients with systemic conditions, 69.28% do not feel capable of diagnosing an urgency/emergency during clinical practice and 88.57% do not feel able to do an intervention if required. Only 20% of respondents have experienced any emergency situation.CONCLUSION: There is a clear need of better preparation of undergraduate dentistry students as well as a continuing learning on medical urgencies/emergencies, so that there is a greater knowledge and confidence to choose the correct intervention, whether during undergraduate course or in future as professional career.

Brazil is the third largest producer and the main exporter of chicken meat in the world. In 2019, it produced approximately 13.245 million tons of the product, generating more than six million dollars. According to the Poultry Association of the state of Espírito Santo, broiler production is carried out by 28 independent producers/companies, three integrator businesses, 42 integrated producers and seven slaughterhouses (structures with SIF, SIE/SISBI or SIE certification). Despite the growth of this sector, problems persist regarding the quality of carcasses and the number of condemnations. From the sanitary and industrial point of view, all products of animal origin must undergo prior inspection. The present study was developed using data generated by the Federal Inspection Service (Serviço de Inspeção Federal, SIF) and the State Inspection Service (Serviço de Inspeção Estadual, SIE). The main causes of condemnation of birds as inspected by SIF represented 9.26% of the slaughtered birds. Total condemnations corresponded to 1.35%. Overall, this study recorded a greater number of condemnations of non-pathological origin. In conclusion, there was consistency in the reasons why these products were condemned. Bruises/fractures and contamination were the most frequent causes according to both inspection services (SIF and SIE), indicating a common problem on the slaughter and inspection lines.

O presente artigo apresenta os efeitos gerados a partir da concepção e implantação de um planejamento estratégico de tecnologia da informação no Poder Judiciário do Estado do Espírito Santo(PJES). Para coleta dos dados e análise de resultados foram realizadas pesquisas documentais em relatório de auditoria realizado pelo Conselho Nacional de Justiça (CNJ). O artigo buscou evidências no relatório que corroborem com as possíveis melhorias apontadas por autores da área que tangenciam a Governança de TI. Essas melhorias não foram constatadas documentalmente e as razões e consequências foram explicitadas no artigo, que apesar de ser um estudo de caso interno ao PJES, aponta resultados e fatores geradores aparentemente comuns e que podem possibilitar ao estudo servir de referência para aplicação de melhores práticas de Governança de TI em outros tribunais do judiciário brasileiro. This paper analyses the impact from conception and implementation of a information technology strategic plan in the Court of the State of Espírito Santo (PJES). For data collection and analysis of results were conducted documentary research in the audit report conducted by the National Council of Justice (CNJ). The article had sought evidence in the report to corroborate with possible improvements as pointed out by IT governance area authors. These improvements were not found by documentary evidence and the reasons and consequences were explained in the article, which despite being a case study only in PJES, points out results and organizational characteristics seemingly ordinary what may allow the study serve as a reference in application of IT governance best practices in other courts of the Brazilian judiciary

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar e comparar o nível de percepção dos estudantes dos cursos de graduação do Centro de Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (CCA/UFES) em relação aos insetos. Os dados foram coletados por meio do preenchimento de questionários pelos estudantes entre os meses de junho e agosto de 2013. A hipótese testada e comprovada foi a de que os estudantes dos cursos de Agronomia, Ciências Biológicas Bacharelado, Ciências Biológicas Licenciatura, Engenharia Florestal e Zootecnia teriam um maior índice de acertos e maior nível de conscientização, já que apresentam, em sua grade curricular, disciplinas em que o grupo dos insetos é abordado. Os estudantes, em geral, demonstraram percepções ambíguas em relação aos insetos, como sentimentos de “medo”, “nojo” e “curiosidade”, que foi a principal sensação que os insetos causam nos alunos entrevistados. A principal fonte de conhecimento sobre os insetos citada pelos alunos foi a “escola”. Além disso, os discentes estão conscientes dos malefícios e benefícios trazidos pelos insetos, sendo a importância ecológica o benefício mais citado. Portanto, apesar de alguns equívocos na classificação de certos seres vivos como insetos, tendo como base a classificação lineana, os alunos entrevistados, em geral, mostraram-se conscientes da importância desses animais no ecossistema.Entomologic Perception by Undergraduate Students of Federal University of Espírito Santo, ES, Brazil.Abstract. The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the level of students' perceptions of the various graduation courses at the Centro de Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (CCA/UFES) in relation to insects. Data were collected by completing of a questionnaire by the students between the months of June and August 2013. The tried and tested hypothesis was that students of Agronomy, Bachelor in Biological Science, Biological Science Teacher Education, Forest Engineering and Zootechny have a higher hit rate and a higher level of awareness, since they have in their curriculum, disciplines they the group of insects is discussed. The students generally demonstrated ambiguous perceptions of the insects, as feelings of "fear", "disgust" and “curiosity” which was the main feeling that insects cause in the students interviewed. The main source of knowledge about insects cited by students was the “school”. In addition, are aware of the harms and benefits brought by the insects, and the ecological importance, the most cited benefit. Therefore, despite some mistakes in the classification of certain living being like insects, based on the Linnaean classification, the students interviewed, in general, were shown to be aware of the importance of these animals in the ecosystem.

Abstract—A new species of Dalechampia from southeastern Brazil, belonging to Dalechampia sect. Dioscoreifoliae, is described and illustrated here. Dalechampia margarethiae is a twining vine occurring exclusively in Espírito Santo state. Its pseudanthia are similar to those of D. peckoltiana and D. pentaphylla, but D. margarethiae differs in a set of important characters, including having cylindrical, down-curved style tips, staminate flowers at anthesis having unreflexed sepals with stamens born on unelongated columns, whitish floral resin, and simple, entire, cordate leaves.
