With the increasing number of organizations, their large size, the increasing of their responsibilities and tasks entrusted to them, and in light of the challenges of globalization and openness to the world, and the resulting intense competition between institutions and companies at all levels, and even these institutions keep pace with rapid developments. And since most studies have proven that the human element is the basic building block for these institutions, and it is the ship that leads the institution to reach safety and achieve the desired goal, it has become imperative for these institutions to pay more attention and provide comfort and reassurance to this human element, so that these institutions can achieve Competitive advantage and access to the desired organizational excellence to compete with its counterparts from the institutions through continuous development and improvement, which comes through the human element that possesses knowledge (knowledge capital), and this is done through the application of comprehensive quality standards to reach the best and distinction, Where the knowledge head represents the cornerstone in achieving total quality in the products and services provided by organizations of all kinds, and since access to total quality without flaws requires comprehensive control over inputs, as well as comprehensive control over operations, to obtain high quality outputs (zero defect ), These processes and control and their continuous development and improvement require creative intellectual and cognitive skills, and this is what is provided by the human element who possesses the desired knowledge.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between enterprise resource planning (ERP) and organizational performance through examining the mediating effect of total quality management (TQM) and organizational excellence and the moderating effect of entrepreneurial organizational culture (EOC). Design/methodology/approach A survey questionnaire was used to collect the data from Dubai Police Departments. Out of the questionnaires distributed, 320 completed usable were returned and used for the analysis which employed partial least squares structural equation modelling methodology. Findings The results showed that there are positive and significant relationships between ERP, organizational excellence, TQM, and organizational performance. In addition, TQM was found to partially mediate the effect of ERP on organizational performance, where organizational excellence was found to fully mediate the effect on the same relationship. However, the moderating role of EOC on the ERP, TQM, and organizational performance was not confirmed. Practical implications Several practical implications have been gained from this study. It will increase the awareness of managers and decision makers to consider the constructs test to enhance the overall organizational performance in their organizations. The role of TQM and organizational excellence to facilitate the implementation of ERP is very critical. In addition, this research will increase the awareness of different stakeholders such as customers, supplier, and shareholders to integrate the proposed constructs examined to enhance the overall organizational performance. Originality/value The current study is one of the few or the only empirical study that examines the joint effect of ERP, TQM, organizational excellence, and EOC on organizational performance.

Effective improvement in quality has become a potentially precious way to boost competitiveness and organizational performance. This paper aims to assess for competitive advantage and organizational performance the effects of Total quality management (TQM) activities. A quantitative approach is used to obtain data from a survey (questionnaire) consisting of 38 items with a five-point Likert scale. The unit of analysis is small and medium food companies in Iraq. The respondents in this paper are the managers of departments. Smart PLS 3.2.9 was used to analyze the results. The findings of the path analysis of partial least squares (PLS) support variables in their hypothesised direct relationships with organizational performance. The analysis results suggest that competitive advantage partially mediates the relationship between (TQM) practices and organizational performance. The paper provides many suggestions that are helpful both for researchers and policymakers to undertake more research in this area as well as to enhance the (CA) and (OP) of organisations in the future.

Time-domain simulation of ship manoeuvring has been utilized in risk analysis to assess the effect of changes to the ship-lane, development in traffic volume and the associated risk. The process of ship manoeuvring in a wider socio-technical context consists of the technical systems, operational procedures, the human operators and support functions. Automated manoeuvring simulations without human operators in the simulation loop have often been preferred in simulation studies due to the low time required for simulations. Automatic control has represented the human element with little effort devoted to explain the relationship between the guidance and control algorithms and the human operator which they replace. This paper describes the development and application of a model for the human element for autonomous time-domain manoeuvring simulations. The method is applicable in the time-domain, modular and found to be capable of reproducing observed manoeuvre patterns, but limited to represent the intended behaviour.

This research paper focuses on the practices of TQM which are being implemented in Pakistan and finds out the relationship between the quality implementation and the performance of the organizations. There is a significant impact of TQM on performance of organizational operations especially in larger firms that have specialized processes of manufacturing. In Pakistan, TQM is implemented by 3 types of methods: Assurance of Quality, Consistent Improvement and Control of Quality. The results indicate that Total Quality Management has two effects on the performance of organizations: First, the practices of TQM may affect the performance of the organization; or it may halt the firms to achieve the goals which has a negative impact on their performance. One limitation of this research is that it is limited to Pakistan only. So the future researchers can base their studies on different context.

The effect of cigarette smoke on Persistent Allergic Rhinitis patients (RAP) prevalence is increasing in Indonesia. Although the number of people who smoke is increasing yet  it has not received attention for examination. Objective: To analyze the relationship between cigarette smoking "side-stream" (SS) with the change in total quality of life (TQL) among patients with Persistent Allergic Rhinitis (PAR). Method: This study is a case-control design, in which 63 patients with moderate-severe RAP evidenced by allergy tests are divided into treatment groups (32) and control (31) randomly. RAP 32 patients were exposed to cigarette smoke (SS) from 5 cigarettes for 2 hours in a room. All respondents were asked to fill out questionnaires quality of life of Juniper's RQLQ. Results: KH total between treatment groups was not significantly different with control. KH total exposed to secondhand smoke every day significantly different. Discussion: Cigarette smoke described in patients with RAP does not lead to changes in the quality of life.

This research use relationship marketing teory which applied 4 factor of input process understanding customer expectations, building service partnerships, empowiring employers, and total quality management, and output relationship marketing process: customer satisfaction and customer layalty. The objective of this research is to find out wich factors of input process that has more impact on the output process in relationship marketing. There are 60 trusted correspondencea from Grand Inna Malioboro Hotel customer whom at least have been stayed at the hotel three times. The method of collecting data in these research use questioners and Likert scale measuring instrument 5 points that will be tested by the instrument and analyzed by using regressision analysi the simultaneous test of variabel for the relationship marketing input s. The result of the instrument shows the items used are valid and reliable. It displays the outpout process passed the assumtions test, while the signifikacant relationship marketingto the output of relationtionship marketing, For the passive test of vareable input process relationship marketing with the ouput process relationship marketing shows all significant variables unless vareabel understands customer expectations does not have a significant effect on the process of output relationship marketing

This paper is a contribution to the growing literature on the role of projective identification in understanding couples' dynamics. Projective identification as a defence is well suited to couples, as intimate partners provide an ideal location to deposit unwanted parts of the self. This paper illustrates how projective identification functions differently depending on the psychological health of the couple. It elucidates how healthier couples use projective identification more as a form of communication, whereas disturbed couples are inclined to employ it to invade and control the other, as captured by Meltzer's concept of "intrusive identification". These different uses of projective identification affect couples' capacities to provide what Bion called "containment". In disturbed couples, partners serve as what Meltzer termed "claustrums" whereby projections are not contained, but imprisoned or entombed in the other. Applying the concept of claustrum helps illuminate common feelings these couples express, such as feeling suffocated, stifled, trapped, held hostage, or feeling as if the relationship is killing them. Finally, this paper presents treatment challenges in working with more disturbed couples.
