A mosque is a place of worship activities that is very crowded with people, especially if the mosque is located on the side of the road. Automatically, the mosque users are local people and outsiders who happen to cross the mosque. In the Covid-19 pandemic, anticipating the impact of its spread must be watched out, especially since this mosque is often visited by worshipers from outside (not the surrounding community). Inside the mosque, this aims to limit the number of worshipers in the mosque; the ultrasonic sensor functions to find out the people who are wrongly occupying the shaft or place of prayer with an indicator in the form of a buzzer. Thus this research aims to provide a solution to a sense of security and comfort to the local community and outsiders who will use the mosque to worship. In the mosque, a covid-19 early warning system has been implanted using three sensors, namely an infrared sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and infrared body temperature sensor. Based on reports in March 2021, there was a decrease in confirmed symptoms of Covid 19, which originally amounted to 82 people confirmed as Covid 19. After implementing the system, two reports were found to have died, 78 people said to be cured, and two people are still undergoing quarantine at their respective homes. Then enter the month of Ramadan in 2021, some reports confirm that Covid 19 is nil. It is a positive response that has a good impact on worshipers, especially those who use mosques as a means of worship. This data can be accessed through an application called "PeduliL Protects," which can be downloaded via the Android application in the play store under the zoning "Babakan Tarogong Village."

During the rainy season, several regions in Indonesia experienced floods even to the capital of Indonesia also flooded. Some of the causes are the high intensity of continuous rain, clogged or non-smooth drainage, high tides to accommodate the flow of water from rivers, other causes such as forest destruction, shallow and full of garbage and other causes. Every flood disaster comes, often harming the residents who experience it. The late anticipation from the community and the absence of an early warning system or information that indicates that there will be a flood so that the community is not prepared to face floods that cause a lot of losses. Therefore it is necessary to have a detection system to provide early warning if floods will occur, this is very important to prevent material losses from flooded residents. From this problem the researchers designed an internet-based flood detection System of Things (IoT). This tool can later be controlled via a smartphone remotely and can send messages Telegram messenger to citizens if the detector detects a flood will occur.Keywords: Flooding, Smartphone, Telegram messenger, Internet of Thing (IoT).

<p>The Early Warning System (EWS)  is recognized as a crucial mechanism for disaster risk reduction. Despite advances in technologies, the biggest shortcoming of EWS is that risk information is still failing to reach the people at risk in developing countries like Nepal and India. This presentation is based on the qualitative analysis of 90 interviews conducted for my Ph.D. thesis, in the Kosi River basin, across the Nepal-India border. Annually the Kosi River and its tributaries cause widespread flooding and inundation in Nepal and India. Recently, significant advancements have occurred in the sector of risk communication for Flood-EWS in Nepal and India. Government institutions use mobile text messages, web-based Apps, flood bulletins, and other measures to inform people about the flood. Despite the efforts, significant challenges were observed in the information outreach, especially to the women and vulnerable people living in the study area. Challenges were also identified in understanding the received text messages by flood vulnerable people, and spatially relating the information about river depth for their evacuation decision.  Recommendations were made for inclusive and people-centered EWS based on Impact based forecasting as well as on awareness-raising activities through mobile applications.</p>

The financial crisis is a realistic problem that the general enterprise must encounter in the process of financial management. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 and the Sino-US trade war, domestic companies with unsound financial conditions are at risk of shutdowns and bankruptcies. Therefore, it is urgently needed to study the financial warning of enterprises. In this study, three decision tree models are used to establish the financial crisis early warning system. These three decision tree models include C50, CART, and random forest decision trees. In addition, the ROC curve was used for comprehensive evaluation of the accuracy analysis of the model to confirm the predictive ability of each model. This result can provide reference for domestic financial departments and provide financial management basis for the investing public.

Based on the Comprehensive Flood Management Plan (CFMP), one of the flood control alternatives in the Ciliwung Watershed is using the dry dam construction. Construction of Ciawi dam and Sukamahi dam who are located in Bogor District, are expected to decrease the flood peak and increasing the time concentration in order to reduce the impact caused by a flood in DKI Jakarta due to Ciliwung River. With the construction of Ciawi dam and Sukamahi dam, it is necessary to conduct a research on the effect of both dams construction in Katulampa Weir, one of monitoring point dams on the DKI Jakarta Flood Early Warning System. Hydrological analysis with Win-TR 20 and HEC-RAS was conducted to identify the changes in the flood level of Flood Early Warning System in DKI Jakarta with and without both dams are available. The results of this study indicate that the peak floods decreased by around 2.5% after the implementation of Ciawi dam and Sukamahi dams. The impacts of this reduction will not affect the Flood Early Warning System level at Katulampa Weir significantly.

Every year, flood impose substantial economic, social and environmental cost on Nepalese community through direct damage to residential, commercial, educational and structures. Moreover, the flood destroys animal farm, commercial stock and records and other content of the building and pollutes the water. Early Warning Systems are important to save such lives and properties which involves computer, satellite data and high accurate operating system but this system is very costly in terms of installation as well as operation and maintenance leading to hindrance in the sustainability of the system. However, high-tech technology is very expensive and not feasible in Nepal and therefore low-cost and easy operating system is needed in the rural parts of Nepal. The system includes Solar panel, Siren, Ultrasonic sensor, processing unit, and battery. The ultrasonic sensor sense water level and the siren will automatically start. Kelud Volcano is an active volcano in Indonesia. About 150 million meter cubic has erupted on 13 February 2013 at 22.30. People were successfully responded to the most significant eruption in history without any fatalities, by doing less than 2 hours evacuation, from 21.15 to 22.50. This research was conducted to show the success of the community in building the resilience process by applying a good system of community-based early warning. The study was conducted through documentary review and field assessment with participatory research methods, including mapping, transects, and historical studies. The result of research show that the community has four aspects of early warning system has been successfully fulfilled by communities. Those four aspects are (1) Knowledge of risk; (2) Monitoring and warning service; (3) Dissemination and communication; (4) Ability of the people to respond. Systematic data collection and risk assessment, with its pattern and tendency factors, ensured that disaster and vulnerability are well-known. Monitoring parameter to create accurate and timely pre-estimation has been ensured by disaster monitoring and early warning service. Communicating information and early warning ensured that the warning could be received by everyone that affected by disaster, risk, and its warning can be understood and useful. Establishing the people’s responsibility to ensure the response must be renewed, ability and local knowledge can be utilized, and people are ready to response warning. Simulation and training activities were implemented by the people within the disaster-prone area. Finally, the powerfulness of community preparedness can manage the tremendous level of a volcano eruption.

According to the actual situation of large range road disasters in seasonal frozen area, the road safety can reflect by the slope stability, the subgrade stability, the bridge safety and the ice(snow) on the road.The objective of this paper is to present a new monitoring and early-warning system, which can be used on the large range road in seasonal frozen area. The system consists of four parts, which are slope monitoring system, subgrade monitoring system, bridge monitoring system and ice(snow) monitoring system. In this system, the small world theory is used to build an IPv6 p2p network structure and semi-structured data is used to store any type of early-warning data. In addition, a bridge in western Changchun City in Jilin Province was selected as the case study example. Monitoring and early-warning results show that the system is stable and efficient , also can improve the scalability and reduce the dependence on central server in IPv6 network.

<div>Flooding in Zambia occurs on almost an annual basis greatly affecting the livelihoods of communities. Early action is crucial to mitigate the impact of flooding but needs to be guided by an early warning that is credible and actionable, linked to situational awareness based on data.  The 510 data team at the Netherlands Red Cross has been working together with the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, Zambia Red Cross Society, Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA) and Zambia Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) to develop a data driven early warning system to support impact based early action implementation. The system has been co-designed with the relevant local stakeholders and  integrates a hydrological model with a vulnerability capacity assessment based on secondary data for the whole country at the highest level of possible granularity (district level). A threshold based trigger model has been developed together with local decision makers to activate the system with a lead time up to 7 days. The system is being integrated in the Emergency Operation Centre operated by Zambia's DMMU as a part of the country standard early action protocol. This paper describes the system design, results from the first activations and lessons learned. </div>
