UKS (School's Health Clinic), widely known as school health clinic, has an important role in increasing the health status of students in school. However, in fact, the implementation of UKS has not been at its best due to several factors. Objective know out the description of the implementation of the trias UKS in Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency in 2019. Method this study used a qualitative descriptive design. The purposive sampling and snowballing sampling were used to determine the subjects of this study. There were 5 research informants in the school consisting of the principal, the persons in charge of UKS and a little doctor, a term used to describe students who meet the criteria and have been trained to participate in carrying out some of the efforts to maintain and improve health at school. Data retrieval by observation and in depth interviews. Results health education in each school was always implemented directly during learning and during breaks by the little doctors. The health services carried out by UKS have been running well, but it is only limited to providing first aid to the sick students or teachers. There would be further examination only if the patient did not get better, the UKS would do some coordinations then take the patients to the Puskesmas or known as public health centre. The development of a healthy environment was carried out by the school by accustoming children to maintain the school environment to dispose of trash in its place. In addition, UKS has also routinely checked the condition or health status of students by checking their height, weight and dental health. School health units in triassic good schools namely by implementing health services for each student , healthful environmental health education and guidance. First Aid is a temporary relief and care effort against accident victims before getting more complete help from doctors or paramedics. This means that the help is not a perfect treatment or treatment, but only a temporary relief by the FIRST AID officer (medical officer or lay person) who first sees the victim. First Aid Purpose: 1 Prevent death, 2. Prevent more severe disability 3. Prevent infections, 4. Reduce pain and fear Correct FIRST AID action will reduce defects or suffering and even save the victim from death, but if FIRST AID action is done bad it can worsen due to accident and even kill the victim. In everyday life there is often an accident that befell someone or a group of people. Accidents can happen anywhere, at home, road, workplace or anywhere else. To anticipate the problem then the government launched the school health effort movement (UKS) which there is health education, health services and a healthy school environment. The purpose of this dedication is to train the students to be the first helpers to be able to perform first aid measures if necessary.

Purpose – Coordinated school health programs (CSHPs), a type of health promoting school (HPS) program adopted by Canada and the USA, were developed to provide a comprehensive approach to school health in the USA. Community partnerships are central to CSHP and HPS efforts, yet the quality of collaboration efforts is rarely assessed. The purpose of this paper is to use Himmelman’s strategies for working together to assess the types of partnerships that are being formed by CSHPs and to explore the methodological usefulness of this framework. The Himmelman methodology describes four degrees of partnering interaction: networking, coordinating, cooperating, and collaborating, with each degree of interaction signifying a different level of partnership between organizations. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected as part of the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 CSHP annual Requests for Proposal from all 131 public school systems in Tennessee. Thematic analysis methods were used to assess partnerships in school systems. Descriptive analyses were completed to calculate individual collaboration scores for each of the eight CSHP components (comprehensive health education, physical education/activity, nutrition services, health services, mental health services, student, family, and community involvement, healthy school environment, and health promotion of staff) during the two data collection periods. The level of collaboration was assessed based on Himmelman’s methodology, with higher scores indicating a greater degree of collaboration. Scores were averaged to obtain a mean score and individual component scores were then averaged to obtain statewide collaboration index scores (CISs) for each CSHP component. Findings – The majority of CSHPs partnering activities can be described as coordination, level two in partnering interaction. The physical activity component had the highest CISs and scored in between coordinating and cooperating (2.42), while healthy school environment had the lowest score, scoring between networking and coordinating (1.93), CISs increased from Year 1 to Year 2 for all of the CSHP components. Applying the theoretical framework of Himmelman’s methodology provided a novel way to quantify levels of collaboration among school partners. This approach offered an opportunity to use qualitative and quantitative methods to explore levels of collaboration, determine current levels of collaboration, and assess changes in levels of collaboration over the study period. Research limitations/implications – This study provides a framework for using the Himmelman methodology to quantify partnerships in a HPS program in the USA. However, the case study nature of the enquiry means that changes may have been influenced by a range of contextual factors, and quantitative analyses are solely descriptive and therefore do not provide an opportunity for statistical comparisons. Practical implications – Quantifying collaboration efforts is useful for HPS programs. Community activities that link back to the classroom are important to the success of any HPS program. Himmelman’s methodology may be useful when applied to HPSs to assess the quality of existing partnerships and guide program implementation efforts. Originality/value – This research is the first of its kind and uses a theoretical framework to quantify partnership levels in school health programs. In the future, using this methodology could provide an opportunity to develop more effective partnerships in school health programs, health education, and public health.

School health program is an effort to nurture and develop healthy habits conducted in an integrated manner through educational programs, health services and health care in the school environment. Goals: The purpose of this study is to identify the implementation of teacher’s evaluation about School Health Unit (UKS) program in the State Primary School No.060910 Medan 2017. Methods: The research is a descriptive study with a sample of 23 people is a teacher of elementary school No. 060 910 Medan 2017. Field data collection tool used was a questionnaire. Results: The results of this study obtained the overall implementation of the UKS program implemented fairly that is 56.5%. UKS implementation of school health education activities are carried out fairly, that is 62.5%, the activities carried out with sufficient health care, which is 65.2% and the activities of health coaching healthy school environment performing well, which is 73.9%. Conclusion: Puskesmas are expected to improve their cooperation and performance with schools in their work areas, especially in improving health services. Puskesmas with schools need to discuss the UKS activities plan that will be done in school, so that can be arranged schedule of implementation and their respective duties. Puskesmas are also expected to work together both in materials and ideas to improve the implementation of UKS in each school.

Background: Schools are one of the best settings-based approach to promote health. Schools remain for many years been recognized as an important settings for health promotion for the community. The study provides description of schools health status in the city, concerning the activities and services components of school health and the deficiencies, accordingly the requested procedures and processes to improve that health situation, assuming that improvement of schools health status will lead the improvement of health status of the overall community. Objectives: The study aims to assess schools health status in Makkah city. Introduction: The study conducted to evaluate schools health status and services provided in Makkah city, 20 schools selected randomly for this purpose.Methodology: Descriptive study had been implemented, simple random sampling used, (20) schools selected for the evaluation of the six components of school health services and activities, data collected through checklist and interviews. Results: The study clarified that most schools in Makkah have a health supervisor, health supervision plan and a committee, but only 32% of schools have healthy foods provided. Conclusion: The study concluded that, health supervision was active, but there were weaknesses in the food services, unhealthy foods and drinks were available in schools. Recommendations: The study recommends for motivating schools health supervisors for the extra efforts they are providing beside their teaching responsibilities, in addition to that, periodic health education sessions for students is requested to raise their awareness on different health risks especially in school environment.

Mental health education is a central part of school nurses’ practice. Mental health literacy is an asset for health that educational initiatives can strengthen, and a significant determinant of mental health. This study was intended to examine the relationship between positive mental health literacy (PMeHL) and mental well-being to discuss its implications for school health services’ mental health education. The relationship was assessed using a multiple linear regression model controlling for relevant covariates. Data were derived from a cross-sectional school-based survey including 1,888 adolescents aged 15–21 years (response rate 97.3%). A weak gender difference was found in PMeHL. The regression model accounted for 41% of the variance in adolescents’ mental well-being; PMeHL was a significant explanatory variable of mental well-being. Accordingly, the current study found support for including PMeHL, or knowledge of how to obtain and maintain good mental health, as an integral component of school health services’ mental health education among adolescents.

Objetivo: relatar a experiência de estudantes do Curso de Enfermagem na implementação de intervenções educacionais para a promoção da saúde sexual e reprodutiva do adolescente escolar. Método: trata-se de um estudo descritivo, tipo relato de experiência, desenvolvida a partir das seguintes etapas: 1) Capacitação discente; 2) Apresentação do Projeto de Pesquisa; 3) Diagnóstico situacional no contexto escolar; 4) Seleção das temáticas; 5) Planejamento de estratégias e abordagens e 6) Execução e avaliação. As informações foram discutidas em concordância com a literatura. Resultados: notou-se a carência no conhecimento dos adolescentes escolares acerca da temática da saúde sexual e reprodutiva, entretanto, a intervenção no ambiente escolar mostrou ser um ambiente promissor para o processo de educação em saúde realizado, sobretudo, pelo enfermeiro no âmbito da Estratégia Saúde da Família com outros profissionais da saúde e da educação. Conclusão: enfatiza-se a necessidade de atividades no âmbito escolar a fim de promover o conhecimento e adoção hábitos e práticas saudáveis que impactem e assegurem aos estudantes riscos mínimos de injúrias à saúde sexual e reprodutiva. Conclusión: se enfatiza la necesidad de actividades a nivel escolar para promover el conocimiento y la adopción de hábitos y prácticas saludables que impactan y aseguran a los estudiantes el riesgo mínimo de lesiones a la salud sexual y reproductiva. Background: School health is an important branch of community health. School health services is an economical and powerful means of raising community health. In school child is vulnerable to stress, tension and endangerment of group life because all children are not the same and comes from different socioeconomic and cultural background and with different immunity status. Child is quite vulnerable at this growing age and hence become easy victims of many non-communicable diseases such as dental caries, anaemia, visual and hearing defects. The objective of the study was to assess health status of primary school children in rural areas of Lucknow.Methods: The present school-based descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in the rural area of Lucknow from February to July 2015. Purposive sampling technique was adopted to select primary schools from 1st to 5th standard. All students who were present at the time of survey were included in the study. A pre-structured performa for each student was used to record information regarding anthropometric measurements, physical examination/ personal hygiene, clinical findings.Results: A total of 170 children were examined, among these 82 (48.23%) were boys and 88 (51.77%) were girls. Dental caries was the most common infirmity observed in 63 (37.05%) children with 95% CI (33.35- 40.75) and was statistically significant (p<0.05) with boys 29.27% and girls 44.31%. Anaemia were found in 65 (38.23%), boys were 32.92% and girls 43.18%. Ear discharge was seen in 17 (10%) children, boys were 6.10% and girls 13.63%.Conclusions: The common infirmity found were dental caries, anaemia and ear discharge. Effective strategy with good monitoring and evaluation is imperative in ensuring adequate and optimal implementation of school health services in primary schools in rural Lucknow.

This project focuses on the theme of healthy eating habits and is being developed by students from class 8.ºD and under the scope of our school’s social inclusion program. Two questionnaires were applied, one on food and the other on hydration in a school environment, to all classes in the 7th grade and class 8.ºD. In order to alert the school community to the needfor good hydration, the class 8.ºD organized a tasting session on flavoured water. In collaboration with the project, the nurse from the school health centre gave two lectures on healthy eating habits. Schools’ shutdown due to Covid-19 pandemic did not allow more sessions to be held, nor to share with the community the questionnaires’ results. Nevertheless, one of the projects main goals is to implement in the school flavoured water dispensers, to encourage students to drink more water.

Children will develop their abilities both in learning, interacting socially outside the family environment, this happens in the school environment. Parents are required to be able to prepare their children well before entering the school environment, this is so that children can follow the learning process well. School learning outcomes are strongly influenced by the general abilities measured by the intelligence quotient. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of health status on the learning outcomes of students of the 14th Maranatha YPK Elementary School in Manokwari City. The population in this study were all students in grades 3,4 and 5. Samples were 103 students. The sampling technique is total sampling. The results showed that the health status of students was healthy 78%, while the learning outcomes of 74% were quite good, the results of the analysis showed no effect on health status on student learning outcomes in odd semester with the results of p> 0.05 (p = 0.8) in even semester and p> 0.05 (p = 0.5). It is still necessary to improve the health status of students by emphasizing more on school health efforts in detecting students' health when health problems occur or suffer from illness.
