Аdvantages and disadvantages of various types of fuels are considered in the article; the method of cleaning alternative fuel for agricultural machines is developed, namely, the increase of methane content in the fuel mixture of diesel - gas as an alternative fuel for machine - tractor aggregates. The proposed method results in relatively small losses of methane to 0.06%. When the system operates at standard pressure, power consumption is less than 0.04 kWh / m3, which gives the system the ability to work economically. The fuel gas produced as a by-product can be good for heating a bioreactor. Purified biogas (methane content 97.7% by volume). The content of methane can be further increased by further cooling. The invention allows increased methane output and lower energy consumption. The work contains 6 formulas, 1 drawing and 12 literary sources.

The paper studies the influence of the geometric parameters of the mixer on the mixing process, the construction of the mixing body, its location in the mixer bulk, and the mixer shape and geometry. The technique of calculating the power spent on mixing the foam concrete mixture is described. The effects of the ratio of the mixture height to the mixer diameter, the number and width of reflective partitions, and the shape of the conical part of the mixer on the homogeneity of the foam concrete mixture and the power consumption are considered. The optimal ratios of the foam concrete mixture height to the mixer diameter have been determined. Moreover, the optimal range of the ratios of the partition width to the mixer diameter has been established, in order to obtain a homogeneous foam concrete mixture throughout the volume with lower energy consumption. The optimal values of the angle of the mixer conical part for the preparation of a foam concrete mixture have been determined.

Pine needle is a typical biomass which is abundantly available in Uttarakhand hills. This shredded biomass contributes significantly in forest fire occurring regularly in Uttarakhand. Different energy harnessing routes as direct combustion, anaerobic digestion, pyrolysis, gasification, and briquetting for pine needle were reviewed. These routes were further compared on the basis of energy consumption and energy efficiency of the processes as per the available literature. The review suggested that briquetting of pine needle and its anaerobic digestion are two most energy efficient methods having energy efficiency of 88% and 41.6%, respectively. The estimated energy required for briquetting of 1 ton pine needle was 1370.5 MJ, whereas for gasification it was 1170 MJ

The need for energy in the agriculture field is increasing as a result of increasing the productivity of these fields. The appearance of smart grid and IoT (internet of objects) enabled farmers to control, manage, and optimize the energy consumption. Agriculture will continue to rely on energy to increase its productivity in line with increasing population and great demand. In this chapter, the authors present an integrated model between SmartFarms, the smart-grid, and optimization methods. In this way, smart forms can participate actively and benefit from the energy market. In this chapter, they consider the electrical energy that is directly used in activities ranging from field processes such as irrigation of land. Energy is also indirectly consumed in synthetic additives notably fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. In addition, the authors can consider the electrical energy, which is used for powering some agricultural machines.

Windows play a significant role as they largely influence the energy load. Although there are many studies on the energy-efficient windows design, there is still a lack in information about the mutual impact of windows’ size, position and orientation on the energy loads. In this paper, the effect of different window positions and orientations on the energy consumption in a typical room in an administrative building that is located in the hot climatic conditions of Cairo city, Egypt is considered. This case study has been modeled and analyzed to achieve good environmental performance for architectural space, as well as assessing its impact on the amount of natural lighting required by using the Energy Plus program. The study concludes that the WWR (Window Wall Ratio) 20% square north-oriented upper  opening consumes 25% lower energy than the rectangular 3:1 opening in the lower west-oriented façade. The upper openings are the highest in terms of light intensity, as they cover about 50% of the room area. The WWR 30% rectangular north-oriented upper 3:1 opening consumes 29% lower energy than the rectangular lower 3:1opening in the façade. Regarding light intensity, the upper openings are the best for natural lighting as the light covers more than 60% of the room area.

Abstract Compared to conventional globe valves, the pilot-control globe valve (PCGV) possesses advantages of lower energy consumption and higher space utilization. In order to analyze the effects of pilot pipe and damping orifice arrangements, this work proposes four PCGVs and conducts simulations to compare their overall performances, overall flow characteristics, and local flow characteristics around the valve core. In general, the arrangement of the pilot pipe has larger effects on the hydroperformances of PCGVs than the arrangement of the damping orifice. The pipe-parallel-mounted type PCGV performs better in hydroperformance than the pipe-perpendicular-mounted type PCGV, and thus is recommended in practice. As the specified valve core travel increases, the flow resistance of PCGVs decreases and the flow capacity of PCGVs increases. However, overlarge specified valve core travel has little effects on the flow resistance and flow capacity of PCGVs. Besides, the increased specified valve core travel could effectively reduce the wear induced by the uneven pressure distribution on the external lateral face of valve core, but it has little effect on the wear induced by the uneven pressure distribution on the bottom face. For all pipe-perpendicular-mounted type PCGVs, the variation of axial force imposed on the valve core relative to the specific valve core travel presents similar tendencies under different incoming flow velocity within the scope of the investigation, which could be concluded into a fitting equation. This work could be referred for the optimization of PCGVs and other similar valves.

Indartono, in paper use of alternative fuel gas for a motor vehicle fuel oil explain that in many ways energy efficiency can also be more than just preservation. Energy efficiency is an attempt to reduce the use of petroleum materials and the selection of alternative fuels. Improved energy efficiency is also an environmental demands, because it can reduce air pollution, acid rain control the incidence and protect the earth from global warming, which may occur due to buildup of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. One of the alternative fuel is CNG. In motor vehicles, CNG usage advantages include lower price, the exhaust gas is cleaner burning results and the potential source is still very large.
