The Waata community is among the indigenous Kenyan communities whose social, political, and economic organization has not been adequately studied. The objective of the study was to examine the impact of colonial policies on the history of the Waata people of Kilifi County in the period 1895-1963. The study was guided by the cultural interaction and identity formation theory. The study was conducted using the descriptive research design which offered a chronology of events as they unfolded over time. A qualitative approach was significant because it allowed an in-depth collection of data to ascertain the attitudes, feelings, and opinions concerning the theme under study. The study site was Kilifi County. The study targeted both males and females above 18 years within Kilifi County who were knowledgeable about the existence of the Waata people. Purposive and snowballing sampling techniques were used to select the sample for the study. One hundred and twenty-two participants were interviewed. The study used both primary and secondary data. Primary data was derived from the one-on-one interaction with participants using interview schedules and Key Informant Interviews, oral interviews, and focus group discussions. Question guides and questionnaires with open-ended responses were also used. Secondary data was obtained from critical analysis of books, articles, papers, thesis, and dissertations. Additionally, archival sources, particularly colonial documents, annual reports, correspondents, letters, diaries, and political record books related to the area under study were consulted. The findings of the study revealed that colonial policies impacted significantly on the history of the Waata forcing them to adapt to different lifestyles in order to survive cultural extinction. This adaptation was informed by the colonial labelling of traditional hunting communities like the Waata as poachers and the progressive government efforts to stop them from their traditional source of livelihood as well as their eviction from their indigenous habitats and creation of National Parks.

The changes in IT sector constantly influencing the performance of banking sector in the world. The emergence of internet banking has changed the way of banks of how to offer the products and services to the customers. In order to survive in the rapidly changing technological environment, the banks are required to adapt such changes and to maintain and improve the services which they are offering to their customers in order to attain the customers satisfaction. Now the term quality does not only include the products but also the services. This paper deals with the internet banking operations and how it affects the service quality of the banks in Punjab. The research is much more of qualitative nature but to prove facts and figures quantitative approach is also used in the paper. The research is descriptive as well as explanatory. In order to arrive at the sample size, non probability method has been used. For the primary data collection a structured questionnaire is used to record the response of various respondents. Secondary data has been collected from annual reports, other published literature of the banks etc. In order to test the impact of internet banking on the service quality of banks seven service quality dimensions model is used. A model with seven dimensions service quality named reliability, assurance, responsiveness, empathy, tangibility, security and communication is used to complete the study. In these seven dimensions 37 variables are covered. For the data analysis the statistical package SPSS 20 is used.  Descriptive statistics is used to analyse the data. The research proves that all the dimensions which are included in the study have a positive impact on the service quality of banks providing internet banking services to their customers in Punjab. The recommendations are also discussed with which the service quality and customers satisfaction can be improved.

Objective: The Fundamental objective this paper to explore the impacts of warning label on the smokers. Whether smokers are discouraging from this warning label or not? This research was started in September 2016 and done in January 2017. (Five months). Methodology: Both primary & secondary data was used for data collection. Secondary data was taken from the research articles, periodicals, hospital’s annual reports and health magazines. For primary data collection, a testified five point Likert scale questionnaire was used. We’ve distributed 1800 questionnaires in nine (9) cities, 200 in each city. By using stratified random sampling technique. Finally received (n=1726) that were properly filled by all aspects. Our population was Punjab province and sample was nine cities including Federal Capital of Islamic Republic of Pakistan: Islamabad, Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Layyah, Bahawalpur & Multan. After that data was analyzed on Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 21.0). Cronbach’s alpha (ἀ) of our research study was 0.862. It shows the well-organized reliability of our data. Results: Correlation ‘flank-by’ D.V (Intention to quit), IV (warning label) and M.V (demographic factors) shows that, “yes there is an association among them”. Regression Analysis retrospect that they have a week but positive relationship. Durbin Watson’s explorations were also showing same frequencies. Findings: We’ve found that well educated & privileged respondents have less smoking habit than un-educated & underprivileged persons. Male & female students are also indulged in the curse of smoking, without caring of their pocket money. Teen aged & educated smokers, notices the warning label intensely as compared to others, but ignored. So Govt. & health agencies should acquaint the novel way that discourage the smokers in real sense.

This research focuses on the history of the migration of Dayak Dusun Malang, the migration process, the background of migration and the impact of the migration to the lives of Dayak Dusun Malang. This study uses historical methods with primary data sources obtained from the customary chairman and community leaders, while secondary data is Proleh from the village data and the media of the time relevant to the research. Data collection techniques using interviews, with public figures, observations, reviewing directly the old Juju and documentation, the results showed the reason for the migration carried out by the Dayak Dusun Malang because of the colonialism done by the Dutch and Ngayau. The migration process occurred within 1872-1940 times the existence of a stopover in two places, namely Teluk Punant and Teluk Keriring. The impact of such migrations can be seen in social and economic conditions.

The study was about the impact of accounting theory and practice on performance of large scale business in Nigeria. The objective of the study was to examine the effect and usefulness of accounting theory and practice on financial performance of large firms. The research was carried out, using Coscharis Group Limited as the case study. Primary Data was collected through simple random sampling and using self-administered questionnaires for 20 respondents. Secondary Data was gotten from the company's annual reports on return on equity for the period 2014-2016. The primary and secondary data were consolidated for analysis. Multiple Linear Regression was used to analyze the data to test for the relationship between the accounting theory and practice variables (Positive Accounting Theory(PAT), Financial Reporting(FR), Auditing Practice (AP) and Budgeting) and Financial Performance(Return on Equity). Findings revealed that accounting theory and practice have significant relationship with the financial performance of large companies in Nigeria. It further shows that variables of accounting practice have significant effect on financial performance of large firms in Nigeria. It is recommended that quoted and unquoted organizations should ensure there is consistency in the accounting theory and practice adopted in preparation of their records to enhance stability in their financial performance.

Training and development strengthen those skills, competencies and capabilities that an employee needs to improve his performance. Well-articulated training and development programs help the employees to achieve job enrichment and employer to attain improved organizational performance. This study assesses the extent to which training and development improves employees’ performance in the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO). The study adopts a mixed research method. Both primary and secondary sources of data were used; primary data were through the administration of 331questionnaires and interview. A 331sample size of respondents was used; interviews were also conducted to 20 management staff of the KEDCO headquarter and regional offices in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states. The secondary data used in this study include publications, such as annual reports, journals, conference papers, gazettes, circulars and unpublished dissertations as well as textbooks. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used in presenting and analyzing the data for the study. The study found a significant relationship between training and development and employee job satisfaction in Kano Electricity Distribution Company. The study recommends that a concerted effort should be made by the management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company to ensure that training needs analysis are observed when selecting employees for training in the Kano Electricity Distribution Company.

This paper examines the impact of pandemic on domestic tourism sector in India through finding out the changes in preferences of domestic tourists due to the pandemic (COVID-19).  For this purpose, primary data is collected from 364 Indian nationals to gain insights and secondary data is collected from various online sources such as reports, research articles, websites, books, etc. A structured questionnaire is developed for collecting primary data. The result of data analysis revealed that there is not much difference between numbers of people who used to travel before the pandemic and who want to travel after relaxations or vaccination according to their criteria as well as 76.2% respondents have intentions to travel for tourism activities within one year after relaxations (some or complete) or vaccination. The other findings disclosed that the history of Coronavirous cases of a state matter while choosing a destination and pandemic has influenced the preferences of the people for tourism components. These findings may help tourism as well as hospitality market players to develop new tourism products which also cover these changed preferences and help in reviving their business as well as the industry as early as possible by satisfying the tourists.  Key words: Pandemic (COVID-19). Abstract:Semarang Chinatown  is a special  district in Semarang City  known with its chineese culture, where chineese citizen of Semarang have been living  for centuries. The sustained chineese culture in this area makes Semarang Chinatwon as an urban heritage and cultural artefact in Semarang City. The aims for this paper are to investigate the factors shaping Chinatown Semarang, the development of Chinatown Semarang from time  to time, the urban form elements in Semarang Chinatown, and the correlation between morphological components of Semarang Chinatown. This writing use some review methods, first theoritical overview to get secondary data about physical or non-physical factors forming city, second observation area such as collecting photos and interviewing to get primary data. Adanya budaya Tionghoa yang masih sangat terjaga menjadikan Kawasan Pecinan Semarang ini sebagai kawasan urban heritage dan artefact budaya di kota Semarang. Tujuan penulisan adalah untuk menemukan faktor pembentuk Kawasan Pecinan Semarang, mengetahui perkembangan Kawasan Pecinan Semarang dari masa ke masa, mengetahui pola bentuk dan elemen kawasan pada Kawasan Pecinan Semarang, serta mengetahui kaitan antara faktor pembentuk kawasan terhadap perkembangan Kawasan Pecinan Semarang. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode kajian berupa tinjauan teori untuk memperoleh data sekunder mengenai faktor-faktor pembentuk kota baik secara fisik maupun non fisik, serta observasi lapangan berupa pengumpulan foto yang dilengkapi dengan wawancara untuk memperoleh data primer. In banking industries, employees are entrusted with different roles and responsibilities, and training enables them to carry out these roles and responsibilities efficiently by let them to learn new things. Moreover, it will prepare them to take up higher responsibilities in the future. Therefore, this study focuses to analyze the employee perceptions on effectiveness of Training Programs in Myanmar Citizens Bank (MCB).  By using the descriptive research method, primary data are collected from the responsible persons and employees of MCB in head office, branches. Secondary data are gathered and scrutinized from relevant text books, records and annual reports from MCB. The research revealed that there are four kinds of training programs in MCB. Moreover, this paper revealed that MCB successfully delivered its training programs in year 2015 to 2018 and the trainees have positive perceptions on effectiveness of training programs in MCB. Based on these results, this paper pointed out the important facts that can give improvement actions for effective and efficient training programs in Myanmar Citizen Banks.

The study purpose is to analyse the impact of training, competence, motivation and leadership towards performance either directly or through job satisfaction as a mediator variable. As many as 55 staff are considered as respondents in this research, and census method is used as the sampling method. Primary data in this study were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Likert Scale. Secondary data are obtained from the organization structure Sukamandi Apparatus Training Centre (BDA), performance appraisal, staff attendance, information system and personnel management. Structural Equation Modeling Analisis of Moment Structures (SEM-AMOS) is used to process and analyze data. This study shows staff with high education, competence and leadership have a significant effect on performance, While the job satisfaction is significant in mediating the influence of training, competence and leadership on performance. Next on the employee with low education, training, competence, motivation and leadership have a significant influence on performance, while job satisfaction is significant in mediating the effect of competence and leadership on staff performance.   Keywords:  training, competence, motivation, leadership, job satisfaction, performance

This study examines the relationship between dynamic capabilities (experience, routine, skills, firm characteristics, knowledge and technology) and competitive advantage sustainability in the Egyptian pharmaceutical sector. The data was collected using primary and secondary data sources. Primary data was collected from questionnaires distributed to 160 top managers in 20 pharmaceutical firms. The secondary data about pharmaceutical firms like rankings, revenues and market share was collected from external sources such as Intercontinental Marketing Service (IMS). The questionnaires examine six independent variables based on a five-scale Likert scale. The methodology used in the study is non-probability sampling (judgmental sampling), Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient and Chi-square tests. The results support the notion that there is a significant relationship between four of the six dynamic capabilities (experience, skills, firm characteristics and knowledge) and the competitive advantage sustainability for pharmaceutical firms in Egypt. Designing the questionnaire and formulating the questions to target the required field was challenging, given that the topic is dynamic and the business scene in Egypt has witnessed drastic political changes since January 2011. The study should assist pharmaceutical companies in Egypt in directing their investments properly and in determining the weaknesses in their dynamic capabilities that need to be addressed.
