Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam) is one of the plants that has high antioxidant activity, especially in the leaves. Emulgel is one of the topical dosage which dermatologically has several beneficial properties, namely thixotropic, not oily, easy to spread, easy to clean, soft, easy to wash, long lasting, transparent and comfortable when used. The purpose of this research was to formulate moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam) leaves extract into emulgel dosage forms and determine the antioxidant activity of the dosage using DPPH method.The research began with extraction of moringa leaves and optimization of the base by varying the concentration of carbopol 940 as gelling consisting of F1 0.5%, F2 1%, F3 1.5% and F4 2%. The base that met the requirements of good physical stability was F2.  The F2 base was then made into emulgel dosage with 3 concentration variations of the extract, namely F2a 4%, F2b 5% and F2c 6%. The physical stability test result of each formula met the organoleptic test,the pH test, the dispersion test, the adhesion test, the viscosity test, and the freeze-thaw test. The One way ANOVA statistical test result showed that the p value was greater than 0.05, which meant that the emulgel dosage had good physical stability. The IC50values of each antioxidant activity result were F2a (t0 = 120.464 g/mL; t28 = 144.887 g/mL), F2b (t0 = 113.642 g/mL; t28 = 128.407g/mL), F2c (t0 = 74.745 g/mL; t28 = 90.618 g/mL). The statistical results of the t-test showed thep value = 0,027, (0.05), This indicated that there were significant difference results of the antioxidant activity test between the three formulas on the first day (t0) and on the 28th day (t28).

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract supplements, Moringa oleifera leaf extract plus royal jelly and placebo on hemoglobin levels in anemic pregnant women. This research is a randomized controlled double blind design study which was conducted in Polombangkeng Utara District, Takalar Regency for 2 months. The subjects of this study were pregnant women with anemia, the majority of which were 20-35 years old, primigravida parity, income less than UMR, unemployment, higher education, pregnancy distance of more than 2 years with p value> 0.05. Then divided into three groups, namely Moringa capsules plus royal jelly (KRJ) (n = 24), Moringa capsules (KTR) (n = 24) and placeco (PLC) (n = 21). Before and after the intervention, measurements of hemoglobin levels were carried out using the Hemocue tool and interviewing the characteristics of the respondents. The results showed that the average Hb level increased from each group (mean SD): KRJ 10.06 ± 0.75 to 11.42 ± 1.23, P = 0.001, KTR 10.40 ± 0.46 to 11.15 ± 0 , 90 P = 0.001 and PLC 10.43 ± 0.42 becomes 11.14 ± 0.88 P = 0.002. but there was no significant difference from the difference in the average increase in Hb levels in the three groups, but there was a tendency that KRJ was superior to the KTR and PLC groups with an increase of 1.36 gr / dl, KTR 0.75 gr / dl and PLC 0.71 gr / dl. So it can be concluded that KRJ is better than KTR and PLC in increasing Hb levels in anemic pregnant women in Takalar Regency.

Abstract: The Effect Of Lime (C10H16O) And Camphor (C10H16O) Against The Density Of Flies On Organic Waste. Fly is a disease-carrying vector so it is important to measure the density for control purposes. One of the controls that is done is on organic waste which is a breading source place of flies. Control is done by affixing the mixture of lime and camphor. This research aimed to determine the effect of mixture of lime and camphor against the density of flies in organic waste that is carried out in the garbage construction site while Southern Loktabat. This type of research is quasi-experimental that experimenting the provision of nine variations of dosage mixture of lime and camphor against the density of flies in organic waste with the organic waste sample was about 0,16m3. This research design used Pretest-posttest design. The analysis using statistical paired sample t-test, Kruskal Wallis test, and Least Significant Differences Test. The measurements showed a decrease in the density of the flies after administration of the lime and camphor mixture. Paired T-test results showed that in each treatment the p-value (2-tailed) <α (0.05) means that there is significant difference of flies density before and after treatment. Kruskal Wallis test result showed the p value (0,000) <α (0.05) which means there are significant differences between dosages. LSD test result showed that the most effective dosage is sixth dosage (35gr camphor+ 55gr lime/0,16m3 waste).

Moringa oleifera Lam. has been used as a traditional medicine for the treatment of several diseases. In this study, the antioxidant activity and simultaneous HPLC profiling of polyphenolic compounds in 80% ethanol and water extracts of M. oleifera tender and mature leaves available in Bangladesh were investigated. The 80% ethanol extract of M. oleifera tender leaves contained high concentration and more amount of 3,4- dihydroxybenzoic acid, (-) epicatechin and rosmarinic acid (201.32±1.94, 213.08±1.96 and 133.84±1.42 mg/100 g of dry extract, respectively) than that of mature leaves (82.55±1.09, 141.86±1.10 and 16.23±0.76 mg/100 g of dry extract, respectively). On the other hand, the water extract of M. oleifera tender leaves contained a high concentration of catechin hydrate, trans-ferulic acid and quercetin (530.05±1.91, 166.38±0.90 and 771.74±1.34 mg/100 g of dry extract, respectively) than that of mature leaves (207.21±0.90, 62.42±0.45 and 483.25±1.04 mg/100 g of dry extract, respectively). It was also found that 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, catechol, p-coumaric acid and trans-cinnamic acid were detected only in 80% ethanol extract of M. oleifera leaves but syringic acid was identified in the water extract. In DPPH free radical scavenging activity test, IC50 values of 80% ethanol extract of tender leaves (EETL), 80% ethanol extract of mature leaves (EEML), water extract of tender leaves (WETL) and water extract of mature leaves (WEML) were found to be moderately significant (105.50±1.05, 115.00±1.14, 216.00±1.34 and 269.50±1.56 μg/mL, respectively) when compared to the IC50 value of ascorbic acid, 3.32±0.07 μg/mL. The polyphenolic compounds are responsible for antioxidant activity. On the basis of the present study, it can be suggested that the leaves show antioxidant activity and it’s contained a significant amount and different types of polyphenolic compounds. Standardized polyphenolic compounds from M. oleifera leaves could be used as a better source of natural antioxidant supplement.

Moringa oleifera Lam. (Moringaceae) is revered as s ‘miracle tree’ due to its remarkable nutritional, medicinal and industrial uses. In our study, a comparative analysis of the nutritional parameters (antioxidant activity, sugar content—TSS, total soluble proteins—TSP and mineral contents), phytochemicals (HPLC analysis of four anticancer compounds), and cytotoxicity of M. oleifera leaf extracts (MLEs) of five selected varieties (conventional, PKM-1, PKM-2, ODC, and Jaffna), was performed. Jaffna variety possessed the highest antioxidant activity (FRAP) followed by other four varieties. The trend observed was: Jaffna (9.47 µg/mL, 18.48 µg/mL, 29.39 µg/mL, and 35.37 µg/mL) > PKM-1 (4.82 µg/mL, 7.63 µg/mL, 22.33 µg/mL, and 27.71 µg/mL) > PKM-2 (2.10 µg/mL, 7.04 µg/mL, 13.18 µg/mL, and 21.78 µg/mL) > ODC (0.17 µg/mL, 2.10 µg/mL, 4.41 µg/mL and 13.94 µg/mL) > Conventional (0.05 µg/mL, 1.08 µg/mL, 2.86 µg/mL, and 5.40 µg/mL), total soluble proteins (TSP) [0.69 ± 0.01 and 0.94 ± 0.01 µg/mL (young and mature stage, respectively)], sugar content (TSS) [0.39 ± 0.01 and 0.51 ± 0.01 µg/mL (young and mature stage, respectively)], chlorophyll content [1.07 ± 0.01 (plantlet stage), 1.36 ± 0.003 (vegetative-stage), 0.82 ± 0.004 (reproductive stage) mg/g], followed by the other four varieties. The trend observed for cytotoxic activities of ethanolic MLEs on HepG2 cell line, based on the IC50 values, was conventional (1.22 mg/mL) > ODC (0.90 mg/mL) > PKM-2 (0.65 mg/mL) > PKM-1 (0.35 mg/mL) > Jaffna (0.15 mg/mL). The results of HPLC quantification of anticancer compounds [beta-sitosterol (0.244%), quercetin (0.216%), kaempferol (0.013%), and moringin (0.063%)] was also in consonance with that of MTT assay. In summary, the trend observed in all the parameters tested was Jaffna > PKM-1 > PKM-2 > ODC > conventional. Thus, Jaffna variety has a better potential to combat malnutrition and cancer and must be recommended for commercial plantations.

Optimizing spiritual intelligence requires a long process and requires practice, the earlier the child is trained to develop spiritual intelligence, the greater the benefits include being able to recognize themselves, being able to recognize the strengths and weaknesses that exist in themselves, being sensitive to the surrounding environment, having a sense of empathy and compassion for God’s creation and will have peace of mind. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of children’s yoga on pre-school children’s spiritual intelligence in Kebonromo village, Ngrampal sub-district, Sragen district. The design used in this research is Pre-Experimental with the One Group Pre-Post Test Design approach. The population of this study were pre-school children’s in Kebonromo village, Ngrampal sub-district, Sragen district. Sample of 10 pre-school children respondents. Spiritual intelligence questionnaire instruments and children’s yoga SOP. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. The bivariate test results show that the Zcount value of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test is -2.825 with a significance value (p-value) of 0.005. The significance value of the test is less than 0.05 (0.005 < 0.05) so that the test decision is H0 rejected, which means there is a significant difference in spiritual intelligence scores between the pre test and post test. The conclusion is there is an effect of children’s yoga on pre-school children’s spiritual intelligence in Kebonromo village, Ngrampal sub-district, Sragen district. The suggestion from this research is that it is hoped that children will be able to carry out child yoga regularly to get the benefits of children’s yoga, especially to develop children’s spiritual intelligence. ABSTRAK Dalam mengoptimalkan kecerdasan spiritual diperlukan proses panjang serta memerlukan latihan, semakin dini anak dilatih untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan spiritual maka akan semakin besar manfaatnya antara lain anak mampu mengenali diri sendiri, mampu mengenali kelebihan dan kekurangan yang ada pada dirinya, peka terhadap lingkungan sekitar, memiliki rasa empati dan belas kasih terhadap ciptaan Tuhan serta akan memiliki ketenangan dalam berpikir. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual dengan melakukan yoga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh yoga anak terhadap kecerdasan spiritual anak pra sekolah di Desa Kebonromo Kecamatan Ngrampal Kabupaten Sragen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pra Eksperimental dengan pendekatan One Group Pra-Post Test Design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah anak pra sekolah di Desa Kebonromo Kecamatan Ngrampal Kabupaten Sragen. Sampel 10 responden anak pra sekolah. Instrumen angket kecerdasan spiritual dan SOP yoga anak. Analisis data menggunakan Analisis Univariat dan bivariat. Hasil uji bivariat menunjukkan bahwa nilai Zhitung uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test adalah sebesar -2,825 dengan nilai signifikansi (p-value) 0,005. Nilai signifikansi uji ternyata lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,005 < 0,05) sehingga keputusan uji adalah H0 ditolak yang bermakna terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan skor kecerdasan spiritual antara pre test dan post test. Kesimpulannya adalah ada pengaruh yoga anak terhadap kecerdasan spiritual anak pra sekolah di Desa Kebonromo Kecamatan Ngrampal Kabupaten Sragen. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah diharapkan anak-anak mampu melaksanakan yoga anak ini secara rutin untuk mendapatkan manfaat dari yoga anak terutama untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan spiritual anak.
