The article deals with various aspects of plagiarism: definition (discriminating it from cheating and copyright violation), types (intended / unintended), involved people, causes, prevention, detection and punishment of plagiarism. A survey (questionnaire containing 42 items to be assessed in a 5-point Likert scale and one open- ended item) was conducted in Georgia. The questionnaire developed based on the literature review was uploaded on social media in three variants (to analyze the results separately and compare them): for students, for researchers and for assessors. The obtained results revealed that the opinions of the three groups of respondents differed to a certain degree, but were quite similar, eventually. The survey disclosed the existing problems, such as: lack of academic writing (in the native and especially foreign language) and research skills, lack of training in avoiding plagiarism, insufficiently clear university policies in the area, the emphasis on punishment instead of prevention, etc. Based on the obtained results recommendations for universities are given concerning plagiarism policies.

The widespread use of social media has promoted extensive academic research on this channel. The present study conducts a systematic analysis of extant research on social media use among young people in China. This systematic literature review aims to identify and bridge gaps in topics, theories, variables, and conceptual frameworks in studies of social media usage among young people in China. The study aims to develop a cause–effect framework that shows the causal relationships among research structures. The PRISMA method is used to review 20 articles drawn from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. From the analysis, 10 major research topics, eight theories or models, and a complete framework of causal relations emerge. It is recommended that future research on social media should include a greater diversity of types of social media, investigate a wider range of research topics, and adopt different theories or models. Researchers should also implement a more complete and detailed systematic method for reviewing literature on social media research in China.

The internet search trend has caused that online users are looking for more and more enriched information. The evolution of social media has been huge and users relate to social networks differently than they did before. Currently, there are more than 4 billion active users on social networks and brands are looking to showcase their products and services. Our research found the following factors that influence social media engagement: informativeness, self-connection and advertising stimulation. Through literature review, we propose a conceptual model that has been tested in the PLS-SEM. Data were collected from 237 consumers and our survey found that engagement in social media is explained by the variables identified by our model. Important contributions to brand theory and management will be found in this investigation.

This paper explored strategies of digital self-promotion for authors online through the investigation of emerging, independent self-published writers. This research provides best practices through those strategies to assist self-published writers in furthering their public profile in digital marketing. The literature review provides context in the online self-publishing environment, connecting with the audience; encouraging collaboration (produsage); adapting to the shifting publishing marketplace through self-presentation strategies (branding), and; bolstering two-way communication (market sensing). It also provides the basis for coding self-presentation themes in self-presentation. This research suggests that best practices can optimize the time that writers spend on marketing, not only to attract initial attention from publishers but at any stage in their career. This research gathers data and develops case studies of four self-published authors that use Wattpad, a social media platform for writers. It analyzes these authors’ strategies for self-promotion and measures their effectiveness through the level of engagement elicited from their fans. It develops best practices from these strategies. This research finds that digital self-promotional activities are successful if they are creative, unique and develop a community of fan followers. It is especially effective when authors reflect the interests of their target audience. It was also found these strategies helped develop the author’s branding for long-term effectiveness

Technological progress and competition between companies in the globalization era are increasing. New media plays an increasingly important role in advertising and marketing. In addition, companies’ survival depends on the presence of audiences/ consumers. Therefore, it is important and interesting to study how to utilize this new media/technology; how effective and efficient digital advertising and marketing strategies are in appealing to the audience; and how to ensure the products offered are acceptable to the target audience. This study carried out a literature review using a qualitative approach to obtain a framework of important concepts and strategies for effective marketing and advertising. It is important to pay attention to the objectives, audience and distribution / media of advertising and marketing. The use of various media such as social media, online advertising, digital signage and endorsers are also important factors in advertising and marketing success. Advertising and marketing strategies help to better understand consumers and how best to engage and empower them. Here technology has created a new environment, where power has shifted from advertisers to consumers. This research produced a variety of important strategies to attract audiences, obtain the AIDA (Attention Interest Desire Action) effect of the audience and finally reach the Top of Mind. Aim: This study was conducted to determine knowledge levels and the factors affecting of  senior nursing students about epilepsy.Method: The study was conducted descriptively and cross-sectional between 17-27 January 2017 with 168 nursing senior students who agreed to participate in the study. The data was collected on social media with questionnaire which was composed of the literature review by the researchers. 15 of the questions were about socio-demographic characteristics and 20 of questions were about epilepsy. Analysing of data were carried out in a computer program by using percentage, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis-H test.Results: It was determined that mean score of the students' knowledge level about epilepsy is 81,10±7,27. There was a statistically significant relationship between where they got the information about epilepsy, care a patient previously had a seizure and mean scores of epilepsy knowledge level (p<0,05). It was determined that students ,who got information about epilepsy from the health personnel and those who care a patient previously had a seizure, had high mean scores.Conclusion: In the study, ıt was determined that nursing senior students’ knowledge level about the epilepsy is high; where they got the information about epilepsy, care a patient previously had a seizure affects epilepsy knowledge.Extended English abstract is in the end of PDF (TURKISH) file. ÖzetAmaç: Bu çalışma, hemşirelik son sınıf öğrencilerinin epilepsi hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerini ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma, 17-27 Ocak 2017 tarihleri arasında çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 168 hemşirelik son sınıf öğrencisiyle tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel olarak yapıldı. Çalışmanın verileri sosyal medya aracılığı ile toplandı. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacılar tarafından literatür taranarak oluşturulan, 15’i sosyo-demogrofik özellikleri, 20’si epilepsi hakkında bilgi durumlarını ölçmeye yönelik sorudan oluşan soru formu kullanıldı. Veriler; bilgisayar ortamında, yüzdelik, Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis-H testleri kullanılarak değerlendirildi.Bulgular: Öğrencilerin epilepsi bilgi düzeyleri toplam puan ortalamalarının 81,10±7,27 olduğu belirlendi. Öğrencilerin epilepsi hakkında bilgiyi nereden aldığı ve daha önce nöbet geçiren hastaya bakma durumları ile epilepsi bilgi düzeyi toplam puan ortalamaları arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki olduğu saptandı (p<0,05). Sonuç: Çalışmada hemşirelik son sınıf öğrencilerinin epilepsi hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu; epilepsi hakkında bilgiyi nereden aldığı ve daha önce nöbet geçiren hastaya bakım vermenin epilepsi bilgi durumunu etkilediği belirlendi.

This paper wants to present a critical perspective in reading the discourse that has been played on social media in the last few days. With literature review method, the KPK Taliban is a form of discourse in which ideological values which are basically the principle of a person or group in determining the direction and purpose of how to proceed, are modified in such a way as to be sold or made into public commodities for political interests. The use of the term Taliban which is associated with hardline of Islam, wants to form an Islamic government in accordance with Islamic laws, is considered have a high 'selling power' so that it can be used to reduce the image of KPK as a law enforcement agency. Like a word, every journalist will try to make interesting headline to get a high view of readers. This term can seem to describe that there has been an internal radicalization in KPK that has created a system of eradicating selective corruption based on the ideology of investigator. From this point of view, social media can be said to be an easy facilitator to explore discourses of this kind. Due to the absence of a gate keeper or news editor, anyone who has an interest in them is free to release any statement even if it is not accompanied by valid data. Even rational and critical discussions such as the basic concept of public sphere are transformed into irrational
