The idea of humanization and humanitarianization of education has long roots. But its actual implementation was possible only in the context of democratization of social processes. After all, true humanization involves not only the pursuit of humanity, but also the introduction of humanistic principles in social relations. However, the development of the humanistic tradition in education in the context of its democratization today is mainly associated with overcoming technocracy as a way of thinking and acting. Therefore, in educational institutions of Ukraine special attention is paid to the need to deepen the humanization of engineering and science education. But the humanization of education also presupposes the orientation of the educational process on subject-subject relations, in which the best democratic qualities of learners are formed - their desire for freedom, active life position, initiative, readiness for collective intellectual activity, etc. The article emphasizes that the humanization and humanitarianization of education involves the implementation of a fundamentally new direction, not related to the training of «impersonal» future professionals, but to achieve a harmonious and professionally developed personality. Today, the humanistic goal of education requires an immediate review of its content, which should include not only the latest scientific and technical information, but also humanitarian personal development knowledge and skills, creative experience. Thus, the humanization and humanitarianization of education in the context of its democratization involves the implementation of human-oriented learning aimed at humanizing the social, socio-political and socio-cultural environment.

The authors set a goal to analyze the problems of contemporary legal education in Russia in the presented research. The necessity of legal education in interdisciplinary and cross-sector interaction with other humanities are identified, and only when these connections are established, it is possible to get into inter-scientific relations. The most extreme issues of the activities of law faculties in various types of educational institutions - in departmental and multidisciplinary institutions were considered, using the example of the influence of various approaches to training future employees of the judiciary. The influence of the educational institution affiliation on the educational process and the issues of deployment the teaching staff are considered, the differences in teaching practical skills in these types of educational institutions are also demonstrated. The authors identified two types of problems - internal and external. Internal - the problems of the educational institutions themselves, external - the problems of implementing the educational policy of the state. Unfortunately, the authors state the unwillingness of the teachers themselves to change because of the rapidly modifying social relations. The absence of a critical attitude, first of all to oneself, causes a false illusion of normality and acceptability. Resulting from the analysis of the entity of the problems, the necessity of initiating changes from the educational institutions and teachers is understood, and not from the state.

The article focuses on the system of developing linguistic and cultural competence through regional realities, values, personalities, etc. in general secondary educational institutions in the Republic of Belarus. The sociocultural aspect in the coherent linguistic methodological system of teaching Russian and developing learners’ speech is considered as a substantial component of all spheres - language, speech, communication, cultural linguistic study . Cultural linguistic (or linguocultural) aspect is realized through mastering language: 1) as a system of preserving and transmissing cultural values, 2) as a means of comprehending general and nationally-specific (for the Russian and Belarusian) ideals, traditions, customs, values and norms which guide the dialogue of cultures. As an interrelated educational process, the sociocultural aspect implies that students acquire the peculiarities of social relations expressed in meanings (peacefulness, non-aggressiveness, tendency to consent and search for compromises, helping another person, denying unmotivated violence, reasonable needs, etc.). The sociocultural aspect also means developing learners’ ability to comply with the norms that determine these relations.

The state’s development vector is currently aimed at innovative transformations. To create an effective innovation system in the country, it is important to prepare University students for professional activities and develop their innovative potential. An important condition in preparing students for innovation is psychological and pedagogical support. Support should be aimed at the formation of innovative competencies of students, personal development, expansion of self-education, assistance in the development and implementation of innovations. It is important that psychological and pedagogical support is focused on the design of the author’s system of student activity when mastering the basics of the profession. Psychological and pedagogical support in the educational process takes into account the logic of the natural development of the student at this age and socio-cultural stage. The model of psychological and pedagogical support for the development of innovative potential of students includes several components: motivational, informative, practical, evaluative, and diagnostic. The model combines the goals, objectives, and features of innovation in the educational environment. It should be focused on the development of innovative thinking, improving motivation, improving the quality of independent and team work, and selfdevelopment of students. When developing the innovative potential of students, it is necessary to use active forms of education: training, project activities, discussions, modeling, roleplaying and simulation games. Active forms of education help to develop students communicative competence, creative and organizational abilities, personal and professional identity. Psychological and pedagogical support for the development of innovative potential of students should be based on the principle of transition of opportunity to relevance. With the development of innovative potential, students move to a qualitatively new level through self-development and professional improvement. Scientific and research work, which is focused on the practical implementation of the results of intellectual activity, is of great importance in the preparation of students.

This paper examines how online distance education acts to democratize access to, and suit the ontologies of, Mauritian women who seek to empower themselves for development. Data from semi-structured interviews of 30 middle class couples are presented in this paper. Interviews and analyses are premised on a feminist perspective and conducted within the social relations analysis framework. The objective of this research was to understand what types of supportive environments (social spaces) enable Mauritian women to engage in educational endeavours that promote their personal potentials and creativities which, in turn, advance democracy for all citizens of Mauritius. Husbands were also interviewed to provide ground for analysis and to decrease bias, which can be generated by women-only data. (1) Marriage/ family and (2) occupation, represent the ‘social spaces’ selected for this study. Discretion, degree of learner control, and the outreach capacity inherent in distance learning makes the online modality a natural choice to democratize women’s access to education. Based on interviewees’ experiences and perceptions, this study concludes that online learning can enhance and democratize women’s access to education for personal development – but only if the power relationships in the two ‘social spaces’ are well understood and well negotiated by these women. The findings in this paper shed light on the importance of understanding ‘learner spaces’ when establishing and setting-up open learning organisations.
