The existence of a game-based mobile application in the field of education has largely helped students to be more interested and motivated to learn due to the presence of game elements in the apps which makes learning more interesting. The <em>Jawi</em> script is one of the subjects that is difficult to learn by younger generation since they do not apply the use of <em>Jawi</em> in their private lives. The inclusion of creative features such as game elements should attract students to explore the <em>Jawi</em> script. A pre- experimental one- group pre- test and post- test study was conducted in which a game-based mobile application for learning <em>Jawi</em> subject named G-<em>Jawi</em> was developed and tested among 20 primary school students in order to observe how the elements of the game in the mobile app impacted their <em>Jawi</em> spelling skills. The apps were also evaluated by 5 teachers and the findings shows that the game-based mobile application was able to improve the students’ performance. This finding was supported by positive results amongst the students which revealed a mean value for the post- test was higher than the pre- test of 89.00. In conclusion, the mobile games app has successfully enhanced student’s understanding of <em>Jawi</em> subjects compared to the traditional learning methods.

Blockage of septic tanks is one of the problems in the community related to the discharge of toilet waste produced. The use of synthetic toilet cleaners that are not environmentally friendly is one of the factors that can inhibit the process of decomposing organic waste. The existence of microbial killer ingredients in toilet cleaning materials that come into the septic tank will actually inhibit the growth of essential microbes that play a role in the perfection of the decomposition process. Lack of understanding of the community related to microbial processes in the processing of toilet waste is one of the factors inability of the community to overcome these problems. This community service aims to disseminate information related to the processing of organic waste, the role of microbes in the processing of toilet waste, how to make microbial formulas that play a role in the processing of toilet waste, as well as efforts to increase the creativity of the community to process their own waste to improve environmental sanitation and improve community welfare. The results of the training showed that the average pretest and post test scores of the cadres of Tenggilis Surabaya village experienced a significant increase in value with a mean value of 37.78 (pretest) to 62.22 (post-test). Toilet waste processing cadres have been able to make biotoilet products that can be used to process limbat toilets in their homes. The informationand insights they receive can be passed on to the community from each cadre.

At present, medical knowledge is experiencing an exponential growth. This results in serious difficulties to healthcare professionals in keeping up to date. At the same time, medical education is mostly taught using traditional learning methodologies, not always the most efficient. Recently however, there has been a significant increase in the use of computer games for both teaching and training as several published studies are showing that serious games can be more efficient when compared to traditional learning methodologies. Although the current number of serious games used in medical education is still very limited, the authors agree that it's application could lead to the improvement of medical knowledge and skills. This paper describes the serious game Critical Transport which is based on the Portuguese Society of Intensive Care's recommendations for the transport of critically ill patients, as well as the results of a pre/post-test study focused in determining the Critical Transport serious game efficiency as a training tool for training medical students.

The low learning outcomes of Addition and Reduction of Fractions in class IV are partly due to: (1) a tedious learning process, (2) lack of use of ICT as a source and media of learning. To overcome this problem the research team developed student-centered learning through e-learning learning in the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) model. This study is a true experiment using the Pre-Test Group Control Post Test Design. The population is Sambiroto 02 elementary school students as many as 75 students in the 2017/2018 school year. The E2 group with EAD learning using the STAD model reached the highest mean value of the three groups, amounting to 88.67, followed by the E1 group with STAD learning at 74.54 and the K group with expository learning at 63.10. Regression analysis showed a positive relationship between motivation and activity with learning outcomes in groups E1 and E2 so it can be concluded that the higher the student's motivation and activity score the higher the student's learning achievement in addition and subtraction operations in elementary schools.
