This article explores the non-monotonic nature of the programmer learning that takes place during incremental program development. It uses a constructivist learning model that consists of four fundamental cognitive activities: absorption that adds new facts to the knowledge, denial that rejects facts that do not fit in, reorganization that reorganizes the knowledge, and expulsion that rejects obsolete knowledge. A case study of an incremental program development illustrates the application of the model and demonstrates that it can explain the learning process with episodes of both increase and decrease in the knowledge. Implications for the documentation systems are discussed in the conclusions.

The background of this study is based on the still large amount of training learning that has not optimized the role of participants in the learning process while instilling and familiarizing attitudes. The purpose of this study is to describe the management strategy of training learning based on the Teams Learning Tournament (TLT) learning model. The method used in this study is the Pre-experimental method in the form of One-shot Case Study with the technique of collecting data through observing the results of giving action in learning. The results of the study show that the learning tournament-based training model management strategy is more effective in creating a fun learning process and fostering attitudes, especially discipline, responsibility and cooperation, so that the learning outcomes can be better. Because with the TLT model all training participants are required to show loyalty to their groups while producing quality group products, so that individual contributions are needed by the group. Groups formed can compete in a healthy manner.  Keywords: training, education and training learning, Teams Laerning Tournament learning model, managing strategies.

Purpose – The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many lives, especially in the field of education. These changes start from the level of early childhood education, elementary education, to higher education. The learning process initially done conventionally in early childhood education has now been transformed into distance-learning or online. This sudden transformation of learning is essential to present an innovative distance learning model in the early childhood education environment. This study describes the distance learning model innovation for early childhood, implemented by PAUD Wadas Kelir, South Purwokerto, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers designed this learning model at PAUD Wadas Kelir by combining fun and unique online and offline learning. Design/methods/approach – This type of research is field research with a descriptive qualitative method. In collecting data, researchers used three methods, i.e., observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used, i.e., reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Moreover, the validity of the data is tested using triangulation techniques. Findings – The results of this study show that there are ten learning model innovations implemented by ECE Wadas Kelir, i.e., learning with parental involvement, work projects, study visits, quizzes, online learning, creativity competitions, films and videos, creative and interactive stories, recording materials, and learning appreciation. The advancement of technologies and the recently forced lockdown by Covid-19 are bringing changes to the organisation of the learning process by accelerating the introduction of e-learning to create a learner-centred technology-based approach to English studies, thus stepping towards digital humanities. These trends initiated the institutional project Mobile and Desktop Software Integration in Bachelor and Master Study Programmes. The present study, using a questionnaire, elicits university students’ attitudes to the mobile applications and speech analysis software-based seminar activities in Moodle e-course in accordance with the blended learning model selected for the studies of theoretical grammar and phonetics. It is a cross-sectional, focused, and exploratory case study, comprising a description of factors, contributing to the problem of blended learning model selection. The yielded data demonstrate that students do not possess extensive prior experience with the use of software and mobile applications to study English grammar and phonetics. After completing seminar tasks, they favourably account for the integrated blended learning materials and consider that those facilitate their learning process.

Studies on policy learning in the formulation of public policies have received less attention in the era of decentralization. This article aims to discuss policy learning in the formulation of local poverty reduction policies. By taking a case study in Gunungkidul Regency, this study shows that the learning carried out is conceptual learning which changes the perspective on local poverty reduction, from problem-based to asset-based. The form of policy learning that occurs is by selective imitation, which is taking certain elements to be included in the policy and not taking it in detail to avoids political risks. This policy learning model has implications for the implementation of policies that do not explicitly create new activities, but complement existing activity programs. The policy learning process at first glance appears as an administrative process, but in essence it is very political because it involves various actors with various interests.
