Social knowledge is not a new category; however, in these times of information-communications systems maturity, it becomes an extremely important and valuable asset. In the context of social knowledge, information technology should be constantly harmonized with cultural milieu characterized mostly by invisible culture and its actions. The aim is to make the real and acceptable convergence of cultural and technological issues. Since the knowledge becomes social only with the communication process, it is deeply connected with the terms of media. Social knowledge is alike any media activity where two-tier principles is included consisting cultural (politics and social paradigm) and technological (information tools) issues. The real drawbacks of social knowledge based on information-communications systems that means the dependency on information technology, is about the continuity - the entire social knowledge base could be fragmented or even lost for future generations. The information/digital content keeping technologies are developed well, but the knowledge and invisible culture assets are under the special treatment if we want to make our social knowledge as the legacy for future generations.

We have known that many of the main features of river can be captured in a relatively simple cellular computer model. Here we examine some of the detailed characteristics of this model. We show a new tangential angle and special treatment method in curvature channel in a simple cellular model. The water distribute will be determined by the tangential angle which represent the flow direction. And the same tangential angle cellular in curvature reach will be transport in one group in filially. The results show it can make the flow routing conformed to the real river, and solve the question of curve bending coefficient is too large. The results of the routing scheme are compared with field measurements of cross-section, with the predictions of a more close to the real. It’s indicate that the curvature flow routing scheme outlined here is able to overcome some of the limitations of previous simple cellular automata models and may be suitable for use in curvature reach of river modeling water and sediment transport and channel change in complex fluvial environments. As such this research represents a small and ongoing contribution to the field of numerical simulation of curvature channel processes.

This article seeks to explain the key variables of internal communication processes of information technology executives, specifically chief information officers (CIOs), at higher education institutions. By understanding the key variables that influence the IT communication process, leaders and administrators, such as the CIO, can better communicate with their stakeholders leading to a successful, technology-integrated organization. While others have sought to model this business-IT relationship using communication as one part of a model, this study focuses upon only the CIO communication process adding value to current information technology management literature. This exploratory pilot article offers empirical insights about how CIOs communicate within their own team and up through the executive ranks of an organization. It suggests that CIOs can be divided into two categories; these two categories, keying off of communication variables, appear to directly affect the ultimate success or failure regarding the integration of technology into the mission and vision of the organization.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Training and Information Technology (IT) Management on Organizational Performance. Based on a theoretical foundation and a wide review of the literature, the model of the research was proposed.  To achieve the research purpose, this study has integrated different theories such as Resource Based View of the Firm (RBV), Knowledge Based View (KBV) in order to analyze the effect of Training and IT Management on Organizational Performance. 341 Questionnaires were distributed among random selected sample of Sharjah Police departments in Sharjah city in Emirates. 245 questionnaires were returned and used in the analysis using the SPSS system. The results of this study demonstrate that including Information Technology (IT) Management has positive and significant effect on Organizational Performance in Sharjah Police. This study reflects the importance of the right implementation to the Training and IT Management to have successful performance. This study also supported the premises of the resource-based view theory by reaffirming the importance of the including Training and IT Management to enhance organizational performance.

The article discloses the real state and prospects of the education of culture of communication of doctoral candidates for higher education in the educational process of an institution of higher education, which is considered as an integral part of the overall process of professional development of a future specialist. The results of the research of real state of students' culture of communication on the basis of cognitive, motivational and activity criteria are presented. The pedagogical conditions of education of communication culture of an institution of students of higher education are suggested. The stages of the implementation of pedagogical conditions are presented: adaptational, basic, advanced, which are designed to form knowledge of the characteristics of the communication process, skills and abilities of adequate communicative behavior in various situations of verbal and non-verbal communication.

A t the beginning of this paper, the decentralized world (DW) and decentralized world economy (DeWe) were defined. And the blockchain industry was pointed out to be at the initial stage of the decentralized world parallel to the real world. Then a set of systematicsolutions, named Electronical Material Information Technology (EMIT), was proposed, after which the development direction and path of the decentralized world economy was put forward, from its limitations, by arguing how to provide sufficient and necessary basic conditions for the decentralized world development. In the end, the EMIT was proved to be an effective reference for building the decentralized world from the basic level to the application level and enabling its sustainable development.

This chapter articulates a conceptual framework to analyse the management of environmental sustainability knowledge in tourism that is underpinned by both the knowledge-based view of the firm (Grant, 1996; Spender, 1996) and the KM Life Cycle (Liebowitz & Beckman, 1998; Salisbury, 2012). This deliberate management of knowledge enables NTOs to build a knowledge-base about the natural environment and to use that knowledge for environmental sustainability, business sustainability, and local community education. Ten NTOs in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam were investigated to analyse their KM of environmental sustainability. In supporting the knowledge-based view and KM of environmental sustainability knowledge, a further conceptual framework is also advanced for the analysis of how Information Technology enables environmental sustainability knowledge to be created, captured, shared, and applied at NTOs among their staff, customers, and communities.

The rise of Cloud Computing represents one of the most significant shifts in Information technology in the last 5 years and promises to revolutionise how we view the availability and consumption of computing storage and processing resources. However, it is well-known that along with the benefits of Cloud Computing, it also presents a number of security issues that have restricted its deployment to date. This chapter reviews the potential vulnerabilities of Cloud-based architectures and uses this as the foundation to define a set of requirements for reassessing risk management in Cloud Computing. To fulfill these requirements, the authors propose a new scheme for the real-time assessment and auditing of risk in cloud-based applications and explore this with the use case of a triage application.

Information Technology (IT) is often employed to put knowledge management policies into operation. However, many of these tools require human intervention when it comes to deciding how the knowledge is to be managed. The Sematic Web may be an answer to this issue, but many Sematic Web tools are not readily available for the regular IT user. Another problem that arises is that typical efforts to apply or reuse knowledge via a search mechanism do not necessarily link to other pages that are relevant. Blogging systems appear to address some of these challenges but the browsing experience can be further enhanced by providing links to other relevant posts. In this chapter, the authors present a semantic blogging tool called SEMblog to identify, organize, and reuse knowledge based on the Sematic Web and ontologies. The SEMblog methodology brings together technologies such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Sematic Web representations, and the ubiquity of the blogging environment to produce a more intuitive way to manage knowledge, especially in the areas of knowledge identification, organization, and reuse. Based on detailed comparisons with other similar systems, the uniqueness of SEMblog lies in its ability to automatically generate keywords and semantic links.

The chapter evaluates the contribution of shared knowledge and information technology to manufacturing performance. For this purpose, a theoretical model was built and tested in praxis through a research study among manufacturing, quality and R&D groups. The social character of science is perceived as a matter of the aggregation of individuals, not their interactions, and social knowledge as simply the additive outcome of mostly scientists, members of the three groups, making sound scientific judgments. The study results verify the significant contribution of shared knowledge to the manufacturing group performance. They also demonstrate that information technology influences notably the manufacturing group performance and, in a less significant way, the sharing of knowledge. Study results are useful to researchers and the business community alike as they may be used as a springboard for further empirical studies and can help put together strategies involving knowledge management and information technology.
