Delay and disruption tolerant networks (DTNs) have the capacity of providing data communication to remote and rural areas where current networking technology does not work well. In such challenging areas characterized by long duration partition, routing is a common problem. Anycast routing can be used for many applications in DTNs, and it is useful when nodes wish to send messages to at least one, and preferably only one, of the members in an anycast destination group. In this chapter, an anycast routing algorithm for DTNs based on genetic algorithms (GAs) is presented and analyzed. The GA is applied to find the appropriate combination of each path to comply with the delivery needs of the group of anycast sessions simultaneously. The routing algorithm based on GAs under consideration uses the concept of subpopulation to produce the next generation of the population, a limited number of solutions to be evaluated, and yields minimum delay in achieving a specified rate of delivery. Simulation results show that the studied GA-based anycast routing algorithm can produce good results.

VANET is branch of networking that is used for communication in intelligent transportation system. In this process of VANET various nodes are interconnected to each other and road side units. R2R, V2V and V2R communication has been done in VANET. Due to variouscommunications under VANET routing protocols have overhead for computation of shortest path and transmission of information with minimum delay. Delay in the network cause minimum safety. In this paper an approach has been proposed that can be used for transmission of safety message over the network with minimum delay. On the basis of proposed approach safety message can be transmitted in shortest interval of time so that safety can be achieved in the network.

In recent years, as the development of wireless sensor network, people do some deep researches on cluster-based protocol, most around the prolongation of the lifetime of WSN and decline of energy consumed by the sensors. This paper analyses of classical clustering routing protocol based on LEACH, aiming at the node energy foot presents energy improved clustering routing algorithm, the random cluster head selection algorithm of threshold to be changed, lowering the threshold, in the original threshold increases the node's remaining energy factor, reduces the communication load of cluster nodes, and simulation. The simulation results show that the LEACH-E improved algorithm, energy saving, reducing balance node energy consumption, effectively prolongs the network lifetime.

BLAST can achieve high speed data communication. Its signal detection directly affects performance of BLAST receiver. This paper introduced several signal detection algorithmsZF algorithm, MMSE algorithm, ZF-SIC algorithm and MMSE-SIC algorithm. The simulation results show that the traditional ZF algorithm has the worst performance, the traditional MMSE algorithm and the ZF-SIC algorithm is similar, but with the increase of the SNR, the performance of ZF-SIC algorithm is better than MMSE algorithm. MMSE-SIC algorithm has the best detection performance in these detection algorithms.

voltage sags represent the greatest threat to the sensitive loads of industrial consumers, the microprocessor based-loads, and any electrical sensitive components. In this paper, a special topology is proposed to mitigate deep and long duration sags by using a modified AC to AC boost converter with a new control method. A boost converter is redesigned with a single switch to produces an output voltage that is linearly proportional to the duty cycle of the switch. On the other hand, the proposed control system is based on introducing a mathematical model that relates the missing voltage to the duty cycle of the boost converter switch. The simulation results along with the system analysis are presented to confirm the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed circuit.

In this paper an individual - suitable function calculating design for WSNs is conferred. A multi-agent- located construction for WSNs is planned and an analytical type of the active combination is built for the function appropriation difficulty. The purpose of this study is to identify the threats identified by clustering genetic algorithms in clustering networks, which will prolong network lifetime. In addition, optimal routing is done using the fuzzy function. Simulation results show that the simulated genetic algorithm improves diagnostic speed and improves energy consumption.©2019. Wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs) are capable of collecting multimedia events, such as traffic accidents and wildlife tracking, as well as scalar data. As a result, WMSNs are receiving a great deal of attention both from industry and academic communities. However, multimedia applications tend to generate high volume network traffic, which results in very high energy consumption. As energy is a prime resource in WMSN, an efficient routing algorithm that effectively deals with the dynamic topology of WMSN but also prolongs the lifetime of WMSN is required. To this end, we propose a routing algorithm that combines dynamic cluster formation, cluster head selection, and multipath routing formation for data communication to reduce energy consumption as well as routing overheads. The proposed algorithm uses a genetic algorithm (GA)-based meta-heuristic optimization to dynamically select the best path based on the cost function with the minimum distance and the least energy dissipation. We carried out an extensive performance analysis of the proposed algorithm and compared it with three other routing protocols. The results of the performance analysis showed that the proposed algorithm outperformed the three other routing protocols.

Over the last decades, the advancements in networking technology and new multimedia devices have motivated the research on efficient video streaming mechanisms under wireless. We consider combing soft real-time video streaming scheduling with threshold to minimize the ineffective preemption. Based on the value density and urgency of soft real-time task, the dynamic scheduling with preemption threshold strategy (DSPT) is proposed in the paper. By analyzing the response time and preemption relationship of tasks, the preemption thresholds are assigned. Simulation results show that the DSPT strategy achieves improvements about success rate, delay time, and benefit of the system.
