In the present times dominated by advanced technology and information, fashion enthusiasts, marketers, and industry are facing challenges and learning to adapt the new. With the increased options of selecting favorite fashion brands through largely available channels and information, fashion customers are equipped today with greater flexibility and understanding; this challenges brands to retain customers. Marketers are using new ways and platforms to engage customers. The chapter focuses on the effective marketing strategies adopted by fashion brands to engage customers. The chapter elaborately discusses the latest technologies and platforms used to engage customers. The chapter attempts to exemplify the effective engagement strategies followed by some of the successful fashion brands. It discusses new techniques in engaging like gamification and the use of advanced analytics for evaluation.

With nearly three million Sri Lankans living overseas, across the world, there is a significant role that can be played by this constituency in post-conflict reconciliation.  This paper will highlight the lessons learnt from a process facilitated by International Alert (IA) and led by the author, working to engage proactively with the diaspora on post-conflict reconciliation in Sri Lanka.  The paper shows that for any sustainable impact, it is also critical that opportunities are provided to diaspora members representing the different communities of the country to interact and develop horizontal relations, whilst also ensuring positive vertical relations with the state. The foundation of such effective engagement strategies is trust-building. Instilling trust and gaining confidence involves the integration of the diaspora into the national framework for development and reconciliation. This will allow them to share their human, social and cultural capital, as well as to foster economic growth by bridging their countries of residence and origin.

This study analyses the transformation of marketing strategies from traditional to 'digital' and finds out the efficacy of 'Facebook' marketing for small or micro-enterprise brands; in the case of the restaurant industry. The study looks for the answers to questions such as How ‘Facebook' has changed the means of marketing in the case of small restaurant brands. Two restaurant brands were considered for the study. A qualitative case approach was adopted for the study. Major findings of the study have revealed that Facebook marketing is the direct, easiest and economical mode of communication with current and potential customers through 'Facebook page', to disseminate information regarding brand and services through 'Facebook posts', 'Comments' and 'chats'; besides, to maintain rapid feedback service to customers' queries. In addition, through 'Facebook' activities i.e., an instance of 'Likes', 'Reviews', 'Check-ins', and' Share' customers, themselves ensue as a source for promoting the brands. Nevertheless, for these small or microbrands' Facebook Marketing' per se, it is an inexpensive technique for effective marketing; additionally, it fosters mutual relationships and increases the level of customer engagement.

<p>Internet is one of advanced technology. In seconds information from anywhere in the world is very easy to access than before it was invented. It would be easily just by typing a single word trough media information searching. it will display the information we want, both the positive and negative information. The problem now is that children are also familiar with the Internet media. Therefore, parents must participate to control and supervise their children when they do surfing in cyberspace. In addition to intensive supervision, early moral development should be done, if we do not want to miss. Children have fundamental rights of life and education, including teaching right to obtain information, but certainly not all of the information that is given to them must be adapted to their age level. According to the Koran, the child can be grouped to four typologies, namely children as living jewelry world, children as a test, the child as an enemy, and the child as a light eye. This is where parents have an important role in the formation of character for her children. Parents are the first educators in the family environment. Father and mother have to share a role in nurturing their children. Both should help each other, hand in hand and compact so that the coaching process goes according to plan. The roles and stages in building character for children are for example first, to the children in the noble, second, to provide opportunities for children to practice the noble character, third, giving the responsibility in accordance with the child’s development, and the fourth, supervise and directing children to be selective in the mix.</p>

In 1943, at the height of the Great Patriotic War, the new revolutionary drilling technique with high efficiency was used in Krasnokamsk oilfield of Molotov (Perm) Oblast for the first time in the world – the cluster turbodrilling method. The development of oil industry in Prikamye in the 1940s was associated with certain complications. The main deposits of the Krasnokasmk oilfield discovered before the war turned out to be located due to a number of reasons within the area of industrial and residential construction of the city of Krasnokamsk and under the Kama river and the Paltinskoye swamp close to the city. Conventional drilling methods could not be used for their development. The way out was to use the method of directional drilling that was little known at that moment. The development of the innovative technology in Krasnokamsk oilfield in 1942 was largely due to the involvement of the specialists of the Experimental Turbodrilling Bureau evacuated from Baku. Directional drilling which involved the deviation of the bottom hole (the ultimate lowest point of the well) from the wellhead (the initial uppermost location) by several hundred metres opened up broad opportunities for developing hard-to-recover oil deposits while significantly accelerating and ensuring cost savings of the drilling process. The directional drilling served as the basis for the development in Prikamye of an advanced technology of cluster drilling when several directional wells with different azimuths were drilled from a small well pad. In 1943–1944, cluster drilling was tested and successfully used in Krasnokamsk oilfield. The cluster drilling comprised an entire range of innovative solutions including the movement of assembled drilling rigs without dismantling power equipment. Also, it resulted in the reduction of total labour costs, scope of construction and assembly works, costs of building oilfield roads, power lines and pipelines, and transportation costs. People’s Commissariat of Oil Industry of the USSR initiated a large-scale rollout of the advanced method of cluster drilling in the largest oil-producing regions of the Soviet Union – Azerbaijan and the North Caucasus, and the area of the “second Baku” – Bashkiria, Tatary, and Kuybyshev oblast. The transition to the advanced and cost-saving technology of cluster drilling laid the foundation for the technical and economic revolution of the world drilling practices.

Productivity is the result that all organizations seek, but every day it is more difficult to achieve it and especially in the current context such as the pandemic generated by the Covid-19 virus, this need for transformation has provided new areas of opportunity throughout the world. world, generating new techniques, jobs and knowledge. This is the case of the present investigation that focuses on the realization of a technical report in the citrus exporting companies of the southeast of the area, taking as a reference the company GM citrus This report is carried out through a systemic approach and comprehensive, considering the use of the Comprehensive Technical Productivity Assessment tool (TIEP) that integrates within its application the evaluation of 10 priority elements to achieve productivity and therefore the quality of organizations. It should be noted that the information that integrates the tool and the elements is taken directly from the experts linked in the context of the study. It is of great importance to mention the participation of the personnel who collaborated to compile the information, as well as the experts who advised to be able to integrate a comprehensive scheme of the organizational scenario.

This article contributes to scant literature on Irish dance praxis in Australia by demonstrating how the confluence of global and local factors have permitted Irish dance in Australia to step to the fore. Irish step dance is a globally recognizable genre that has dispersed through, first, the migration of Irish people throughout the world and, more recently, through itinerant theatrical troupes. In Australia, a significant node of the Irish diaspora, Irish step dance has managed to achieve unusual prominence in a dance landscape that has traditionally been dominated by genres from within the Western concert dance canon. Drawing on both extant literature and ethnographic data, this article examines three threads from the narrative of Irish dance in Australia. First, the general choreographic landscape of the nation is described, showing that the preferences of Australian dance audiences have been shaped to privilege styles that are popular onstage and on-screen, with the resulting marginalization of culturally-specific genera. Second, localized effects of the global contagion instigated by the development of the stage show Riverdance are explored. Here, the domains of aesthetics and decisive marketing strategies are discussed, showing how engagement with Australian audiences was achieved. Finally, the article introduces an idiosyncratic localized influence, the children’s musical group The Wiggles, which was conceived independently but which also promoted interest and enthusiasm for Irish dance in Australia by engaging with young children and presenting propriety of Irish dance as available to all, regardless of cultural ancestry.

The tourism sector has continued to be one of the most affected business units in 2020 in connection with a global pandemic. Numerous regions and tourist destinations, tourist hotspots and accommodations have been subjected to serious changes with a substantial economic impact. Thereby, the question arises as to whether the capacity to respond to customers' needs through functional digital engagement strategies is efficient for supporting a recovery and sustainable development of the tourism industry. This article comments on and provides a critical analysis of the recent online strategies related to content marketing applied to the tourism sector due to a global pandemic and the need to implement a different attitude towards tourismoriented projects. The article proposes some examples of efficient policies that fit in with changes in the world tourism market.

For the individuals participating in the Mesolithic–Neolithic transition, one question must have recurrently emerged as a prime concern: ‘Should I mistrust traditions and consider innovations’? This concern encompassed the introduction of new material culture and new techniques of obtaining food. It also involved new ways of conceiving the world and people's place in it. And it was affected by important – sometimes catastrophic – changes in the physical environment. It must be emphasized that the question of whether to mistrust traditions and consider innovations is not only a matter of concern for prehistoric actors. It is also important for those who are making prehistory today. As is presented in this chapter, the facts presented for south Scandinavia have been variously interpreted as indicating the rapid introduction of a ‘Neolithic’ package with new ways of thinking and acting, as well as reflecting a mixture of traditions and gradually incorporated innovations. Future research into the transition should focus on combining new problem-oriented excavation with fresh ideas about how the transition from the Mesolithic to the Neolithic occurred.

Risk management as a very rapid emerging subject has been affected by several happenings in the world. There are many studies covering risk definition, risk types, and risk management, plus there are many contemporary approaches in order to calculate the risk incurred by the companies due to their transactions. In the modern business life, since the transactions have become very fast and their risk exposure increases, the companies, especially the financial institutions, started to use new techniques to measure the probable effects of the risks that they have taken while undertaking the transactions. In this chapter, the authors show two techniques as the contemporary approaches to risk management. These are operations research and statistics. They know that these two concepts are very detailed and sophisticated tools, which require software for better results. The banks have been investing in these solutions, and they are designing new organizations to handle these issues. Thus, the authors introduce these techniques very briefly with using some banking practices for better understanding.
