The research described here examines the introduction of class sets of tablet technology for two secondary school physical education specialists and the students in their physical education classes. The teachers' perceptions of student ease of use and issues encountered during the implementation are captured through guided discussions on an online platform. The research design is qualitative, capturing the teachers' descriptions of day-to-day issues and successes with the implementation. The study raises questions with respect to how implementation is theorized when teachers and students have out-of-school familiarity with the mobile technology and the learning curve is less steep. This study's findings confirm aspects of earlier research which identifies supports and barriers to technology implementation in education in general, and adds to understandings of potential uses and barriers for mobile technology in physical education classes.

Computer-based Assistive Technology (AT) has had a powerful effect on people with disabilities in the areas of reading, writing, communicating, and accessing information. One of the roadblocks for use has always been the expense of AT. Advancements in computing and mobile technology, however, are making some technology more readily available, accessible, and cost effective for people with disabilities. Computer operating systems, for example, now contain features to magnify screens for reading and in the entering of text. The mobile movement of smartphones, e-readers, and tablets has also been changing the way people with disabilities access information. The capabilities of these devices combined with the immediate availability, affordability, and ease of use, has been making the world more accessible for people with disabilities, and with mobile devices increasingly becoming a necessity for most, this trend is anticipated to only continue.

The major limitation for adopting e-learning systems is students and teachers perceptions of such applications. EduWave is a system implemented in Jordan, to be used by teachers, students and other stakeholders in public schools in the country. This study tried to contrast the perceptions of students and teachers and conclude to future agenda for improving the success chances of such systems. The research utilized results from two empirical studies, with 2 surveys applied to both teachers and students to probe their opinions regarding the obstacles facing EduWave utilization, the advantages and disadvantages of the system, the functionalities used, and the factors influencing the adoption. Results supported the original Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), with significant prediction of intentions to use EduWave through perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use for both teachers and students. Also, teachers and students results did not support the role of trust in the process. Conclusions and future work are stated at the end.

The purpose of this study was to develop a test for describing verbally aggressive behaviors of physical education teachers as perceived by secondary school students. The sample of 130 students (70 boys and 60 girls) were students in the second year of secondary school in Greece. 12 items designed for students were structured to describe possible verbal aggressive behaviors of physical education teachers as perceived by students and students' intention to respond. Exploratory factor analysis using the principal components method and varimax rotation yielded three factors, namely, (i) personal insults, threats, irony and their effect, (ii) intention to respond, and (iii) insults and threats toward others. Eigenvalues were greater than 1.00 for each of three factors which accounted for 69% of the total variance. Values of Cronbach alpha were .86, .88, and .78 for the three factors, respectively.
