Exchanges between Internet users have clearly increased with the proliferation of social networks. That has revalorized Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) Websites which represent an important information source for clients. With the increase of actors in C2C markets, the reputation of the company is a fundamental element for internet users' choices. The objective of this research paper is to identify the factors that can affect the companies' reputation whose products are sold by consumers in C2C websites. A qualitative study was conducted. This study is based on the analysis of ads' content of two Tunisian C2C websites as well as interviews with C2C websites' users. The results highlight the determinants of companies' reputation in C2C websites: quality of the classified advertisements, quality of the C2C website, price and electronic word-of-mouth (as a receiver). All these elements affect companies' reputation in C2C website users' mind. This reputation can also have consequences, such as electronic word-of-mouth (as a sender) and intention to buy the companies' products in the future.

The purpose of this research is to explore and test the effect of electronic Word-of-mouth (eWOM) on the adoption of consumer eWOM information. Through the credibility variables of the eWOM, namely the trust of the eWOM news source, the quantity of eWOM, the quality of eWOM and consumer expertise in the case of female consumers when buying cosmetics in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. To achieve this goal, the author does conduct research by submitting an online survey questionnaire and obtained 200 valid questionnaires. The online questionnaire has targeted internet users, who have previously purchased online and read reviews online received from the provider's website. The result from Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) shows that consumer expertise has the most significant effect on consumer adoption of eWOM information while the number of eWOM has the least impact. Besides, the credibility of eWOM news sources and the quality of eWOM also indirectly affect the adoption of eWOM information. What is more, the study suggests some recommendations to cosmetic businesses so that they develop applications or websites where assessments and quality of information are relevant, and the current expertise of consumers is increasingly present.

In 2018 internet users in Indonesia reached 171.17 million users, or 64.8% of the population of Indonesia. Of these, 96% of internet users in Indonesia have made transactions with internet media. Word of mouth communication is transformed into E-WOM (electronic word of mouth) along with the development of internet technology at this time. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dimensions of e-Wom, namely the effect of intensity (intensity), valence of opinion (content of opinion) and content (content) on online purchasing decisions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The sampling method used in this study was non-probability sampling using purposive sampling technique for a sample of 100 respondents scattered in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Bantul, Kulonprogo and Gunungkidul. Data analysis in this research uses Multiple Linear Regression. The results of this study indicate that valence of opinion and content are variables that have a positive and significant influence on online purchasing decisions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. While the intensity variable has a positive but not significant effect on online purchasing decisions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. 24.6% of online purchasing decisions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta are influenced jointly by intensity, valence of opinion and content, the rest by other reasons

In the digital age, consumers have changed their roles from passive receivers of marketing messages to active information suppliers about products through various digital media. The communication between consumers which occurs online is termed electronic word of mouth (eWOM) communication. Electronic word of mouth communication is an integral part of e-commerce. With the exponential growth of internet users and their adoption of eWOM for product information, it has become important to study the factors responsible for the effectiveness of eWOM. This chapter investigates the traditional WOM and eWOM literature to explore its status. A summary of eWOM communication has been presented to summarize prior studies of eWOM which is aligned with basic communication processes. The research papers (literature) have been segregated into eight categories: WOM, eWOM, eWOM impact, source credibility, message characteristics, receiver characteristics, eWOM platform, and response after eWOM adoption. Finally, several strategies are discussed for theoretical and empirical exploration.

This paper describes a study in the tradition of qualitative research (Biklen & Moseley, 1988; Bogdan & Biklen, 1992; Taylor & Bogdan, 1984) and examines the transition from school to adult-life process. This study employed methodology similar to other investigations that have described the nature of relationships between families and professionals (Ferguson, Ferguson, Jeanchild, Olson, & Lucyshyn, 1993) and investigated the transition process from the perspective of those who experience it (Ferguson, Ferguson, & Jones, 1988; Zetlin & Hosseini, 1989; Zetlin & Turner, 1985). Results indicate that parents of students who are involved in the transition process have a vision for the future of their child. They measure the quality of school services, the potential for future happiness and their faith in the transition process by how their child is succeeding in moving toward that vision. Implications for practice and policy are discussed.

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) on outbound tourists’ intention to visit a destination through a dual-process perspective – the central route of argument quality (AQ) and the peripheral route of source credibility (SC). With the pervasion of Web 2.0 and information and communication technology, user-generated content (UGC) has become popular in the online environment, and it affects consumers’ decisions greatly. Design/methodology/approach – A structural model based on Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) and theory of planned behavior (TPB) is proposed in this study to explore the influence of eWOM on outbound tourists’ intention to visit a destination. Empirical data were collected among Chinese outbound tourists via an online survey. The data were analyzed using structural equation model with SPSS Amos 22.0. Findings – The research results indicate that tourist’s attitude toward a destination was positively influenced by AQ of eWOM, and intention to recommend the destination before travel was positively influenced by attitude toward destination and SC of destination-related eWOM. Outbound tourists’ intention to visit a destination was positively determined by AQ, attitude toward destination and WOM intention. Several practical and theoretical implications are also discussed in the study. Originality/Value – This study contributed to the understanding of individual’s decision-making through a dual-process perspective. Findings indicate that the dual influence process delineated in theory of ELM is also applicable to explain individual’s decision in complicated information source.
