Real-name policy has been adopted in some specific fields of China for several years. As the leading micro-blogging service of China, Weibo has introduced the real name policy in 2012. However, the question is that how the real-name policy is used is still unknown. In this paper, with a dataset of 158,979 accounts crawled from Weibo, we conduct a deep measurement and analysis on the use of real-name policy. We find that although the rule has been promoted for several years, the proportion of verified users is still small. Our work also shows that famous people tend to use their real names to gain more public attentions. And a verified user is more likely to be followed by others.

The measurement and analysis system of nanoparticles size distribution was developed by using virtual instrument technology, while the photon counting technology was applied in the system to replace the expensive correlator. High speed photon pulse counter was designed. The real-time data of nanoparticles dynamic light scattering were analyzed in the mixed program of MATLAB and LabVIEW, where the time autocorrelation functions of nanoparticles light scattering signals of monodisperse and polydisperse are reversed by NNLS arithmetic. Experiments results show that the peak position, peak width and symmetry of inverse distribution are very close to the real simulate particles.

There are so many speeches delivered by such famous people in this world. But, if we are asked to give the point of view about the impact of each speech delivered then the speech from Martin Luther King Jr. will convey the high meaning in term of rethorical speech especially the content and the context about the concepts of repetition found. The speech was on 28th of August 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C in a verbal ways and its text become the secondary data to be analyzed with much focus on emphasizing phrases, words or sentences. By using the concept of rethoric perspective through repetition such as anaphora, epistrophe and epizeuzis, the researcher wants to know the values behind the repetition. That is why, the analysis is using the descriptive qualitative research on taking the secondary data that has been adapted from the video and the text of the speech itself. The conclusion especially on the ideas of repetition are that Martin Luther King Jr. tries to make sure his audiences about that 1) the repetition is something more that the meaning itself, it is above. 2) The struggle, it is something true, needs to be realized in the real life, and adds the weight of the expection to be equal and free.

This chapter evaluates the competitiveness of African economies. In contrast to the macroeconomic perspective which focuses on the behavior of the Real Effective Exchange Rate, the framework adopted in the chapter emphasizes the fundamental drivers of a country’s ability to maintain competitive advantage in international markets through high-value production and economies of scale while simultaneously raising the living standards of its citizens. The study compares a novel measure–the Trade Weighted Value added per capita–with the Real Effective Exchange Rate and demonstrates the merits of the former over the latter in evaluating the competitiveness of African economies.

I explored the naming practices adopted by Taiwanese users of Facebook in relation to the website's real name policy, with the aim of identifying the underlying reasons for choosing not to comply with this policy. For this investigation, I surveyed 993 user accounts and conducted 40 interviews, with the results revealing that there are 4 main types of naming methods that are most commonly encountered in a Taiwanese cultural context: official name in Chinese, Romanized official name, English name with Romanized surname, and nickname. I uncovered 5 underlying reasons for choosing usernames: expecting to connect with friends and acquaintances, using a previous name, attempting to hide from individuals, intending not to use a real name online, and following globalization trends. The results indicated that 42.70% of users surveyed did not rigorously adhere to the real name policy, and that naming practices differed between university students and working professionals. My findings have implications for practitioners seeking to effectively develop and manage their online social network.

In wireless networks, time synchronization is one of the key functions for the MAC and the physical layer because it is important to accurately transmit data by maintaining the order and consistency of transmission between nodes. The time synchronization can be divided into centralized and distributed methods and there are many synchronization schemes. However, there are little testbeds for comparing and analyzing various time synchronization schemes in a real environment. Most papers analyze the proposed time synchronization algorithm by simulation, and some testbeds are also configured for the proposed scheme only. In this paper, the authors build embedded testbeds using USRP and GNU-Radio. The two typical methods of the centralized and decentralized time synchronizations, PPS, and PCO-based schemes, respectively, are implemented on the testbeds and their performances are measured and analyzed in the real environment.

Recently with the increase in advanced age population, the osteoporosis becomes the object of public attention in the field of orthopedics. The surface topography of the bone by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is one of the most useful means to study the bone metabolism, that is considered to make clear the mechanism of the osteoporosis. Until today many specimen preparation methods for SEM have been reported. They are roughly classified into two; the anorganic preparation and the simple preparation. The former is suitable for observing mineralization, but has the demerit that the real surface of the bone can not be observed and, moreover, the samples prepared by this method are extremely fragile especially in the case of osteoporosis. On the other hand, the latter has the merit that the real information of the bone surface can be obtained, though it is difficult to recognize the functional situation of the bone.

Purpose The aims of this study were to characterize hearing symptoms, habits, and sound pressure levels (SPLs) of personal audio system (PAS) used by young adults; estimate the risk of developing hearing loss and assess whether instructions given to users led to behavioral changes; and propose recommendations for PAS users. Method A cross-sectional study was performed in 50 subjects with normal hearing. Procedures included questionnaire and measurement of PAS SPLs (real ear and manikin) through the users' own headphones and devices while they listened to four songs. After 1 year, 30 subjects answered questions about their usage habits. For the statistical analysis, one-way analysis of variance, Tukey's post hoc test, Lin and Spearman coefficients, the chi-square test, and logistic regression were used. Results Most subjects listened to music every day, usually in noisy environments. Sixty percent of the subjects reported hearing symptoms after using a PAS. Substantial variability in the equivalent music listening level (Leq) was noted ( M = 84.7 dBA; min = 65.1 dBA, max = 97.5 dBA). A significant difference was found only in the 4-kHz band when comparing the real-ear and manikin techniques. Based on the Leq, 38% of the individuals exceeded the maximum daily time allowance. Comparison of the subjects according to the maximum allowed daily exposure time revealed a higher number of hearing complaints from people with greater exposure. After 1 year, 43% of the subjects reduced their usage time, and 70% reduced the volume. A volume not exceeding 80% was recommended, and at this volume, the maximum usage time should be 160 min. Conclusions The habit of listening to music at high intensities on a daily basis seems to cause hearing symptoms, even in individuals with normal hearing. The real-ear and manikin techniques produced similar results. Providing instructions on this topic combined with measuring PAS SPLs may be an appropriate strategy for raising the awareness of people who are at risk. This article presents some streamlined and intentionally oversimplified ideas about educating future communication disorders professionals to use some of the most basic principles of evidence-based practice. Working from a popular five-step approach, modifications are suggested that may make the ideas more accessible, and therefore more useful, for university faculty, other supervisors, and future professionals in speech-language pathology, audiology, and related fields.
