Mammary gland cancer, commonly known as breast cancer, is the most common malignancy in women in Poland. The occurrence of the disease and its treatment are associated with a decrease in physical fitness and endurance of the body, and also make it difficult to meet basic life needs and result in a deterioration in the quality of life. The aim of the study is to present physical activity in women with breast cancer and after mastectomy. Analysis of professional literature and available research results in patients undergoing oncological therapy in the treatment of breast cancer indicates the need for them to undertake physical activity and physiotherapy in order to minimize the effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and mastectomy. Analysis of studies in terms of the impact of physical activity on the rehabilitation and recovery of patients with breast cancer showed a significant impact of physical fitness on bone mineral density as the most important factor in the development and maintenance of normal bone metabolism. Physical exercises have also been shown to have a positive effect on patients during and after treatment. Regular physical exercise in women treated for cancer is essential and has a significant impact on reducing muscle deficits and the entire skeletal system.

Background: Quality of Life (QOL) has emerged as an important parameter for evaluating the quality of health care for patients with renal failure. The QOL of dialysis patients in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has not previously been studied. This research examined the cultural relevancy of two QOL tools and compared the QOL between dialysis patients and a sample from the community in UAE. Method: A descriptive comparative survey design was used to study the QOL of 161 dialysis patients and 350 participants from the community. Dialysis patients completed the SF-36 and the QOL Index dialysis version tool. Participants from the community completed the SF-36 and QOL Index generic version tool. Both samples also completed three open-ended questions about the cultural relevancy of the tools. Analysis using descriptive and inferential statistics was done within and between groups to establish similarities and differences in QOL scores. Open-ended questions were analysed thematically. Results: The overall QOL for dialysis patients was rated lower when self-assessed using the SF-36 compared with the community sample (58.92 vs. 75.02, p = <0.0001). Furthermore, the overall QOL for dialysis patients was rated almost the same when self-assessed using the QOL Index compared with the community sample (77.2 vs. 78.6, p = 0.421). Moreover, the total scores of both tools were higher in the community sample (75.02 vs. 78.6). The comparison between the statistically significant variables for both samples revealed contradictory results with the two tools. The majority of participants considered both tools culturally relevant in general. There were more questions that were not answered by participants in the QOL Index by both samples compared with the SF-36. Conclusion: In the UAE the SF 36 and the QOL Index capture different aspects of quality of life. Clinicians and researchers need to be aware of these differences when using these tools. An effective way of establishing the cultural relevancy of QOL tools involves comparing the QOL of a group with a health condition with a sample from the community, asking the participants about their views of the cultural relevancy of the tools, examining missing data, and asking participants open-ended questions about what they value in life.

Naniura is a traditional Batak food that is made without going through a heating process, but is made through a fermentation process using acid and salt. The use of acid and salt acts as a preservative because it can inhibit the growth of pathogenic microbes and spoilage microbes. In addition, naniura fermentation has the potential to be a growth medium for lactic acid bacteria, most of which strains can act as probiotics. However, the potential for probiotic naniura is still rarely studied and studied, so this review article is made to examine the potential for probiotic naniura and the health effects that can be obtained. The writing of this journal uses the literature study method, namely by collecting information from various scientific sources. Several studies have shown that naniura contains lactic acid bacteria that can act as broad-spectrum antimicrobials and can specifically inhibit the growth of Salmonella typhi, Bacillus cereus, Clostridium botulinum, E. coli and S. aureus. Consuming probiotic foods can have a positive effect on health, including improving the quality of the digestive tract, increasing the immune system in the body and degrading lactose so that it can be used for lactose intolerant sufferers.

As a result of the researchers found a positive effect of new feed additive on the growth rate, the qualitative indicators of meat fattening. It was found that the effect of feed additives on the productivity increased with increasing doses of feed additives from 100 to 300 g per head. Thus, at the age of 18 months, the bulls of the first experimental group surpassed the control analogues by 3.86, the second – by 5.53 and the third – by 6.42% and the average daily increase by 7.50, 11.63 and 12.45%, respectively. On the basis of the control of the slaughter was revealed that the weight of the paired carcasses in calves from the experimental group was higher than that of peers, not consuming the Supplement, of 5.82-of 9.91%, and their output is up 0.09 to 0.86 percent. At the output of the pulp of the bulls of the experimental groups exceeded the control analogues by 0.72-1.05%. The meat index of their carcasses was, respectively, higher by 0.25-0.36. In average the sample of the flesh of the carcasses of young animals who consumed the study Supplement contained more protein compared with the control 0,28-0,57% fat, respectively 0,68-1,19%. The influence of feed additive and on the content of amino acids in meat was revealed. Thus, essential amino acid tryptophan in the longest muscle of the back of the bulls of the experimental groups was higher by 1.58 – 2.87% and protein quality index-higher by 0.37-0.63. The flesh of the carcasses of calves of the experimental groups had higher technological properties. The moisture-retaining ability of their longest back muscle was higher than that of analogues of the control, by 2,05-2,22%, the fading – lower by 2,04-2,41%. In the body of young cattle, consuming feed additive, protein was postponed more than in control, by 8,67-14,85% and fat – respectively by 11,96-21,44%. The conversion rate of protein they were higher by 0.78-0.86%, energy - respectively 0.67-1.06%. The level of profitability of beef production in the experimental groups was higher than in control at 4, 18-of 1.29%.

Despite the great popularity of fitness around the world, it is still unclear what fitness is and how people understand it. The essence of fitness has gradually evolved from simple physical fitness to a cultural phenomenon. The second path of fitness development is from the physical health of a person reflected in a person’s readiness to do physical work to the desire to improve their own quality of life. That is why the aim of this study was to investigate in depth the essential characteristics of the fitness concept and the area of fitness. The study is based on 41 literature sources and scientific articles, 8 of which are in Russian and 33 – in English. The essence of the content of the fitness concept has been investigated and the hierarchy of concepts has been evaluated in different theoretical contexts, starting from the historical beginning of the fitness concept. Definitions were grouped in a broader and a narrower sense: 1) fitness as a set of attributes and abilities and 2) fitness as a way of life, lifestyle and quality of life. The essential categories of the fitness concept were compiled. The change of fitness area and its influence on the society was discussed. By summarizing the analysis of fitness definitions and evaluating fitness according to various theoretical aspects, it can be concluded that fitness is interpreted as sport competition fitness, as an implementation of a healthy way of life and as physical fitness or health-oriented physical fitness. Due to constant change and improvement of the body ideal sometimes it is complicated to participate in the process of improving health, also achieving it requires a lot of energy and time. People don’t understand where is the difference between healthy body and fitness body prepared for competition or commercial. Therefore the greater the beauty industry and fitness area becomes, the weaker becomes the human.

Background: Multiple studies have shown that people who have experienced a serious health problem such as an injury tend to overrate the quality of health they had before that event. The main objective of this study was to test whether the phenomenon of respondents overrating their past health can also be observed in people from the general population. A second aim was to test whether habitual optimism is indeed focused on events in the future.Method: A representatively selected community sample from Leipzig, Germany (n = 2282, age range: 40–75 years) was examined. Respondents were asked to assess their current health, their past health (5 years before), and their expected future health (in 5 years) on a 0–100 scale. In addition, the study participants completed several questionnaires on specific aspects of physical and mental health. Results: Respondents of all age groups assessed their health as having been better in the past than it was at present. Moreover, they also assessed their earlier state of health more positively than people 5 years younger did their current state. Habitual optimism was associated with respondents having more positive expectations of how healthy they will be in 5 years time (r = 0.37), but the correlation with their assessments of their current health was nearly as high (r = 0.36).Conclusion: Highly positive scores of retrospectively assessed health among people who have experienced a health problem cannot totally be accounted for by a response to that health problem.

A review of the literature concerning posture and physical activity among dialysis patients was performed in order to determine strategies for improving physical activity and thus quality of life in this group of patients. Correct posture ensures harmonious functioning of the body with optimal efficiency. A sedentary lifestyle has a negative effect on posture and reduces a person’s physical fitness. Haemodialysis forces patients to sit or lie down for long periods of time, while the consequences of chronic disease additionally predispose them to a sedentary lifestyle. Patients with chronic kidney disease treated by dialysis are particularly likely to exhibit sedentary behaviour, and thus are less physically active. The physical fitness of dialysis patients deteriorates due to kidney disease, but also because of concomitant diseases. It is very important to educate patients about the positive effects of physical activity, as well as to promote exercise as a necessary element of treatment for improving their quality of life.

Normal micro flora in the body is created by probiotics, but in modern environmental conditions and bad economic activity in animal farming this group of microorganisms favorable and very necessary for the body is experiencing a constant and huge pressure, so the quantity and quality of each species of these microorganisms is reduced. The aim of this work is to show the effectiveness of the use of certain probiotics in the an imal farming of the Amur region. The research was conducted from 1994 to 2020 in different livestock farms of the Amur region. To assess the condition of animals, there were used generally accepted indicators and the rules of general research. The utmost attention was paid to psychoemotional condition of animals. Body weight indicators were obtained when animals were weighed. As a result, it was found out that the use of probiotics in animal farming of the Amur region showed a positive effect in all cases, but the highest efficiency is provided by “Intestevit “(94.8% of the total number of livestock survived). It is manufactured in the laboratory of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “All-Russian State Center for Quality and Standardization of Medicines for Animals and Feed» and it is based on the collection of samples of probiotics from the nomenclature of microflora characteristic of animals from different regions of the Russian Federation. In groups where animals were treated with probiotic “Intestevit”, the economic effect was higher by 23.4-25.9%.

The article reveals the importance of artistic gymnastics as a basic means of physical fitness of female students of higher educational institutions. The methodological features of artistic gymnastics as a means of basic training have been determined. It has been established that artistic gymnastics is a separate type of gymnastics, where, under the conditions of competition, with the help of qualified judges, the quality of the exercise (its complexity and harmony) is determined by the expert-assessment method in points, and the place (rating) of athletes is determined. One of the difficult methodological problems is the choice of ways to measure the health effectiveness of the developed tools and methods of physical fitness of students. It is obvious that the assessment of this effectiveness should be carried out not only by traditional indicators of motor readiness of students (according to the results of control standards), but the level of development of the most professionally significant adaptive qualities and properties of the body, ie the level of their health. The relevance of this work also lies in the attempt to systematize the traditional and developed means of basic sports - gymnastics and additional tools from other sports (rhythmic and athletic gymnastics, elements of sports, etc.), according to the energy orientation of the loads to achieve the most effective compensation for the deficit of physical activity in students of higher education institutions.
