Change is a common place nowadays. The fulminant engineering, innovation and globalization era brought with it an avalanche of changes and multiple challenges that organizations must face. Despite the change theme has been thought out and researched by hundreds of specialists, the practice shows that organizations have yet difficulties in implementing the changes they need. This is the motive why managers must deal with the issue of organizational changes carefully and take into consideration all factors that contribute to successful implementation of projects and changes that may increase the performance of companies they belong. Purpose The aim of this article is modelling and analysis the key factors that influence the organizational changes implementation within the business processes. Research, methodology Based on the main concepts in literature, a new specific model centered on the key factors that influence the organizational changes implementation within business processes will be presented and analysed. Findings The results indicate the main factors that influence change implementation in business processes and show a number of solutions for increase the success rate of this challenge for all the leaders of organizations. Originality, value The article promote a specific model of key factors that influence the organizational changes implementation, based on a critical review of change management literature. Numerous authors suggest a lot of recommendations for using and combining the factors of changes implementation, so that the results of change efforts to be the expected ones, but it is up to the leaders how they manage to implement researchers solutions in their organizations. This article presents that specific ways for Romanian managers, fitting with Romanian business environment. Implications This work leads to a better understanding of the key factors of the organizational changes implementation. The managers will have new perspectives to approach this matter and new solutions, in order to improve the change processes required by business.

Continuous organizational changes are required as well as successful implementation approaches of modern managerial methods.  However, organizational changes in Business Organizations may often occur at inconvenient time, subject to the psychological preparation of employees or the whole staff in general. In these circumstances, the employees displayed strong resistance to accept changes although they may be decisive for the survival of Business Organizations.  Further, what makes the Business Organization employees accept or refuse organizational changes?  Which is the impact of their resistance on change implementation? Is it closely connected with their personal interests or is it merely a contradiction for the purpose of convenience? These questions and many others will be answered during this investigation through an empirical and theoretical analysis. The study will show the connection between organizational changes in terms of organizational effectiveness. Additionally, it will present a clear overview of the reality of Albanian Business Organizations regarding the organizational change and their mode of operation

The rate with which change occurs has increased dramatically over the years. At the same time, the change management literature is full of claims about the high failure rate of change implementation programmes in organisations. In this position paper a case is made that change initiatives frequently fail because they are not holistic in nature. The paper argues that change can be managed more effectively if the various interconnected and interacting elements of the system are identified, the divergent interests of the various stakeholders are recognised, and the entire change process is managed systemically. As the failures of change efforts are commonly related to human issues, as opposed to technical factors, involving all stakeholders in the change process is expected to reduce resistance and to create a higher level of psychological commitment among employees towards the proposed change. The paper then looks into the implications that this holistic way of thinking has for information systems development and argues that information systems should not be implemented as a means to solving a problem but instead be treated as a significant tool to help address a complex mix of organisational issues. Information system strategy must be in line with the organizations’ corporate strategic plan and information systems must be related to a continually changing organisational context and a turbulent business environment.

In this study, the two key factors affecting the thermal performance of the insert rubber and stress distribution on the tire sidewall were analyzed extensively through various performance tests and simulations to promote the development of run-flat tires. Four compounds and two structures of insert rubber were designed to investigate the effects of heat accumulation and stress distribution on durability testing at zero pressure. It was concluded that the rigidity and tensile strength of the compound were negatively correlated with temperature. The deformation was a key factor that affects energy loss, which could not be judged solely by the loss factor. The stress distribution, however, should be considered in order to avoid early damage of the tire caused by stress concentration. On the whole, the careful balance of mechanical strength, energy loss, and structural rigidity was the key to the optimal development of run-flat tires. More importantly, the successful implementation of the simulations in the study provided important and useful guidance for run-flat tire development.

Project management literature has, until now, mainly focused on new build and only in the last decades the issues of decommissioning (mega) projects has arisen. To respond to this changing environment, project management will need to understand the challenges of decommissioning projects. Decommissioning projects within Oil & Gas, Chemical and Nuclear sectors are characterized by high costs, long schedules and uncertainty-based risks. The budget for Nuclear Decommissioning Projects and Programmes (NDPs) are subject to well publicized increases and, due to their relatively recent emergence, complexity and variety, key stakeholders lack a full understanding of the key factors influencing these increases. Benchmarking involves “comparing actual or planned practices [...] to identify best practices, generate ideas for improvement” [1] and offers significant potential to improve the performance of project selection, planning and delivery. However, even if benchmarking is the envisaged methodology to investigate the NDPs characteristics that impact on the NDPs performance, until now, it has only been partially used and there is a huge gap in the literature concerning benchmarking NDPs. This paper adapts a top-down benchmarking approach to highlight the NDPs characteristics that mostly impact on the NDPs performance. This is exemplified by a systematic quantitative and qualitative cross-comparison of two major “similar-but-different” NDPs: Rocky Flats (US) and Sellafield (UK). Main results concern the understanding of the alternatives of the owner and/or the contractors in relation to (1) the physical characteristics and the end state of the nuclear site, (2) the governance, funding & contracting schemes, and (3) the stakeholders’ engagement.

Без цифровизации наукоемкие производства будут не способны выдержать конкурентную борьбу, и вынуждены будут уйти с рынка. В то же время современные условия хозяйствования диктуют необходимость постоянного совершенствования бизнес-процессов наукоемких предприятий, их оптимизации. Данные принципы являются основой концепции бережливое производство, реализация которых становится более эффективной при условии использования цифровых технологий. В статье рассмотрены вопросы интеграции концепции бережливое производство и цифровых технологий на наукоемких предприятиях. Показан пример успешной реализации принципов данной концепции с использованием цифровых подходов к оптимизации бизнес-процессов наукоемкого производства. В современных условиях важнейшим активом любого предприятия, в том числе и наукоемкого производства, являются данные. Реализация принципов бережливого производства требует обработки значительного объема информации. Цифровые технологии позволяют анализировать информационные потоки в режиме реального времени, моделировать бизнес-процессы и тем самым, способствуют более качественному и оперативному принятию решений по оптимизации бизнес-процессов наукоемких производств. Только объединив принципы концепции бережливое производство и возможности, которые дает цифровизация, наукоемкие предприятия смогут не просто удержать свои конкурентные позиции на рынке, но и перейти на более качественный уровень своего развития. Digital technologies significantly affect the global market, making adjustments to the balance of power in it. Previously used approaches to business process management are no longer relevant in modern conditions. Without digitalization, high-tech industries will not be able to withstand competition and will be forced to leave the market. At the same time, modern business conditions dictate the need to constantly improve the business processes of high-tech enterprises and optimize them. These principles are the basis of the concept of lean manufacturing, the implementation of which becomes more effective when using digital technologies. The article deals with the integration of the concept of lean manufacturing and digital technologies in high-tech enterprises. An example of successful implementation of the principles of this concept using digital approaches to optimizing business processes in high-tech production is shown. Nowadays, there is no consensus that digitalization is a threat to business security or an opportunity to comprehensively manage the entire chain of business processes in real time, taking into account incoming data from all assets. However, political and economic instability, demand volatility, and competition are all a set of global challenges that digital transformation has responded to. In industry, the competitive advantage has become not the ownership of the enterprise, the firm, but access to digital technology, on which the efficiency of work with specific resources depends. The processes of forming individual business segments related to production management based on modern digital technology have already been launched and most companies are focused on this direction. The article reveals the features of the evolutionary stage of digital economy development, presents the relationship of this process with the formation of the conceptual framework from the theoretical foundations, substantiated in the 1990s by foreign and domestic scientists to modern approaches in the interpretation of digital economy definitions. The article proposes the structural dynamics of the digital economy in today's realities, revealing internal problems, opportunities for economic growth, maturity and readiness of the state to new ways of doing business in the digital economy and digital transformation, to form the country's national strategy. In addition, the conditions under which digital transformation opens up new opportunities for the business environment, the public sector and society as a whole are presented. Changes in business strategy, organizational forms, business process capabilities, new approaches in working with clients, competitive advantages, increase in profit sources are analyzed. As a result, the efficiency of the whole system increases, which allows to reach a fundamentally new level of production efficiency in a short time.

Effective team management is one of the key factors that allow companies to tackle the challenges of today's demanding business environment. Although high-performing teams have been studied for some time, very little has been written on them from the construction industry's perspective. Based on the conclusions of previous work and on a project involving 44 professionals of seven teams, this exploratory case study intends to evaluate if there is a gap between what team members and leaders perceive as being (a) the most important features for managing teams into high performance and (b) the features that are present in their teams. The present study shows that, although teams under investigation had some high-performing features at the leadership dimension, there is room for improvement, in particular when it comes to empowering team members, involving them in planning the work, and creating proper reward systems.

Change management theory is extensive, and organisations constantly adapt to and embrace change. In post-apartheid South Africa we are building a racially integrated business environment and society, and leverage its competitive re-entry into the world business arena. Research to date has found that the majority of change initiatives fail due to resistance caused by poor conceptualisation and planning, and the lack of proper integration of the people and business dimensions of change. The model to implement a successful change program will be designed using a combination of readily available skills and techniques. Introduction and Objective of the Research. According to the modern economic theory, compliance in the global business and its support occupy a certain, moreover, indefinite place among the heaviest burdens for global business entities. The objective of the article is to cover the issue of smart contractual relationships (SCR) as a way to increase the business activity of global business entities by minimizing compliance risks (CR).Hypothesis of Research Studies. With current technology solutions available today, it is expected that SCR will allow minimizing the burden of global business entities by widespread CR. The most important role among such solutions is played by the latest distributed ledger technologies (DLT). In the medium term, these technologies will reach such a level of development, at which the transition of contractual relationships from ordinary to intelligent ones will not only lead to the decrease in business activity in world markets, but will also contribute to its substantial increase.Objective. To prove that CR substantially overburden global business processes; to substantiate the urgency of the issue of the transition of the global business to SCR, as a way to a possible lack of CR in the global business environment.Research Methods:- theoretical substantiation for proving the significance of CR as factors of the global business environment and the necessity of using DLT in SCR;- statistical analysis for conducting a normative monetary valuation of CR and representing the degree of awareness by global business entities (GBE) of the competitive advantages of SCR over ordinary ones.Results: the significance of compliance risks in the global business is defined; the importance of smart contractual relationships in the way of eliminating compliance risks essential for entrepreneurship is theoretically grounded. The existence of advantages of the activities of global business entities within one or more sectors according to the cluster principle has been proved:- the cluster economy is a set of solely smart contractual relationships with the use of blockchain technologies;- using these technologies, entrepreneurship in the cluster is accompanied by minimal compliance risks.Conclusions. The article outlines the economic essence of SCR using DLT. Accordingly, theoretically, DLT will promote the spread of SCR to the entire global business environment, since business processes that are not accompanied by CR are possible then. Further research will cover the essence of DLT, due to which all the main advantages, as well as all existing deficiencies of the technology and defects for their active introduction in SCR in the world.

The one constant in the world is change. The changing dynamics of business environment enforces the organizations to re-design or reengineer their business processes. The main objective of such reengineering processes is to provide services or produce products with the possible lowest cost, shortest time, and best quality. Accordingly, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) provides a roadmap of how to efficiently achieve the operational goals in terms of enhanced flexibility and productivity, reduced cost, and improved quality of service or product. In this article, we propose an efficient model for BPR. The model specifies where the breakdowns occur in BPR implementation, justifies why such breakdowns occur, and proposes techniques to prevent their occurrence again. The proposed model has been built based on two main sections. The first section focuses on integrating Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and the performance of business processes during the reengineering processes. Additionally, it implements the association rule mining technique to investigate the relationship between CSFs and different business processes. The second section aims to measure the performance of business processes (intended success of BPR) by process time, cycle time, quality and cost before and after reengineering processes. A case study of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) is used to test the efficiency of the proposed model.
