With the advancement of multimedia technology, a series of problems have emerged in the reform of college English teaching. How to use multimedia to assist college students in English learning has become a meaningful study. Multimedia-assisted instruction is a common method of teaching English. The design of multimedia-assisted English teaching resource software determines its development, management, evaluation and other aspects, so the design of multimedia platform plays a vital role in the effect of multimedia teaching. This paper will discuss the design and implementation of multimedia-assisted college English independent education resources from the perspective of knowledge classification. Through the content analysis, some problems exist in the design process of some college English multimedia teaching, and the status quo is analyzed. It also studies the difficulties of college students in the process of multimedia assisted learning, and how college students hope to design multimedia independent learning multimedia platform. Finally, the five knowledge classification learning theories of “listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating” can change the status quo, meet the needs of college students, and develop the knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and listening in college English. The design strategy of self-learning multimedia-assisted instruction and the design of college English self-learning multimedia teaching is briefly written.

Raman spectroscopy is gaining ground in the analysis of microplastics, especially due to its high spatial resolution that allows the investigation of small plastic particles, whose numeric abundance is argued to be particularly relevant in aquatic systems. Here, we aimed at outlining the status of Raman analysis of microplastics from aquatic systems, highlighting the advantages and the drawbacks of this technique and critically presenting tools and ways to effectively employ this instrument and to improve the spectra obtained and their interpretation. In particular, we summarized procedural information for the use of Raman spectroscopy, and we discussed issues linked to fluorescence interference and the analysis of weathered polymers, which may complicate the interpretation of Raman signatures. In this context, a deep understanding of the different plastic polymers and their Raman peaks and chemical fingerprints is fundamental to avoid misidentification. Therefore, we provided a catalog with detailed information about peaks of most common plastic polymers, and this represents, to the best of our knowledge, the first comprehensive resource that systematically synthesized plastic Raman peaks. Additionally, we focused on plastic additives, which are contained in the majority of plastics. These compounds are often intense in Raman scattering and may partly or completely overlie the actual material types, resulting in the identification of additives alone or misidentification issue. For these reasons, we also presented a new R package “RamanMP” that includes a database of 356 spectra (325 of which are additives). This will help to foster the use of this technique, which is becoming especially relevant in microplastic analysis.

In the present era of Big Data, with continuously increasing amounts of user-generated content, it is becoming a challenge to understand the relation between the content that is available on the Web and the users who are generating that content. Researchers have come up with many ways to understand today's Web better. One of the recently introduced concepts is a Web observatory (WO). This article provides a deep understanding about web observatories. It discusses the status of existing WO systems. The article investigates and gathers the common practices of WOs. This research has implications for researchers and communities in the adoption of the WO concept. The article highlights the challenges of WOs, such as data crawling, privacy and security. It also provides future research and development directions. The article provides a comparative analysis of existing WOs. It discusses the architecture of WOs. It presents components of a WO in a coherent manner and finally provides insights into challenges and limitations of WOs.

With the popularity of English across the world, demands grow for English of daily use. By reviewing the English learning methods and its patterns at home and abroad, this paper conducted a major analysis on the status of English self-learning in China. On this basis, a computer network platform based English learning system was designed and realized by using software engineering approaches, whose development techniques are discussed subsequently. Finally, the performance and safety of the online English learning platform are tested. The test results show that the system is effective in improving students' ability to learn English by themselves.

To provide effective fractions instruction, teachers need deep understanding of fraction concepts (i.e., content knowledge) and skill in using visual representations of fractions to support student learning (i.e., pedagogical content knowledge); yet, research indicates that many pre- and in-service teachers lack knowledge in both areas. The present study examines the performance of 55 pre-service teachers (PSTs) on tasks assessing their procedural and conceptual knowledge of fractions, including a test of their ability to generate visual representations and story problems to model fraction multiplication and division. PSTs demonstrated high levels of procedural and conceptual knowledge of fraction addition and subtraction, moderate procedural knowledge for fraction multiplication and division, and relatively weak conceptual knowledge of fraction multiplication and division. Weak conceptual knowledge was related to inability to accurately model fraction multiplication and division using visual representations and story problems. Implications for research and practice are presented.

With the rapid development of multimedia computer technology, the combination of multimedia computer technology and teaching has increased, and it has been widely used in the course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, multimedia technology plays an important role in integrating resources, highlighting details in classrooms, stimulating students’ interest and promoting students’ expression skills. The application of multimedia computer technology can bring convenience to teachers and overcome the drawbacks of traditional teaching models. At the same time, the modern teaching methods make full use of the excellent characteristics of computers, which has made teaching Chinese as a foreign language more interesting and accessible to a certain extent. This paper mainly illustrates the status quo of applying multimedia technology in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and based on practical situations, offers the integrated mechanism of combining multimedia computer technology and the course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, thus promoting the in-depth development of the course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Keywords: Multimedia, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, curriculum, integration.

Many applications based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology have recently founded in industry monitoring area. Thousands of sensors with different types work together in an industry monitoring system. Sensors at different locations can generate streaming data, which can be analyzed in the data center. In this paper, we propose a framework for online sensor fault detection. We motivate our technique in the context of the problem of the data value fault detection and event detection. We use the Statistics Sliding Windows (SSW) to contain the recent sensor data and regress each window by Gaussian distribution. The regression result can be used to detect the data value fault. Devices on a production line may work in different workloads and the associate sensors will have different status. We divide the sensors into several status groups according to different part of production flow chat. In this way, the status of a sensor is associated with others in the same group. We fit the values in the Status Transform Window (STW) to get the slope and generate a group trend vector. By comparing the current trend vector with history ones, we can detect a rational or irrational event. In order to determine parameters for each status group we build a self-learning worker thread in our framework which can edit the corresponding parameter according to the user feedback. Group-based fault detection (GbFD) algorithm is proposed in this paper. We test the framework with a simulation dataset extracted from real data of an oil field. Test result shows that GbFD detects 95% sensor fault successfully.
