In the present era of 21st century, haemorrhoids have become the most common and distressing anorectal disease. It is a lifestyle disease due to excessive intake of spicy food non-vegetarian food, and lack of exercise. Inadequate consumption of water and the habit of taking alcohol are some of the main reasons for the manifestation of the disease. Perianal trauma due to the long journey and excessive two-wheeler riding particularly on uneven roads and terrenes are also main reasons. Constipation is also a common cause of this disease. Haemorrhoids are dealt with rationally under the concept of Arshas. Use of medicine, surgery, cauterization with kshara and Agni are the treatment principles recommended for Arshas by Acharya Susruta. Except medicine, the rest of the procedures are invasive. The basic principles for the treatment of Arshas are deepana and anulomana (digestive, carminative, and laxative). A medicine with the above properties which is used traditionally by tribes is selected for the study. It has been found using among the tribes for a long time with no side effects. The contents of this medicine are safe and are used in routine ayurvedic practice. In this case study, an effort was made to evaluate the role of Mustadimodaka and ethnomedicine in the management of Arshas. Keywords: 2nd-degree haemorrhoids, Arshas, Mustadimodaka, Ethnomedicine

For a long time, the scholarly impact of a researcher has been evaluated by its citation and publication count. As social media becomes a vital part of our lives, scholars use “Altmetrics” platforms to promote their publications through the use of different social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, CUL (Cite You Like), Mendeley, etc. Twitter is one of the popular and rapidly growing microblogging platforms that is also used in the context of “Altmetrics” as a strong alternative scale to identify quality research work. This research test whether Twitter indicators are helpful to identify quality research work. Our research is based upon a small dataset of 6613 tweets in the field of natural sciences. We compared Twitter indicators (“favorite count and retweet count”) vs. traditional indicator (“citation count”). We also analyzed Twitter text (comments) based on sentiment analysis by using different algorithms. Our research came up with the outcome that neither the favorite count, retweet count, nor the comments were the strong indicators to identify quality research work. These results would help the researchers to understand the role of Twitter indicators to capture quality research work online. This chapter explores music and advertising in the United States during the golden age of radio using the 1946–1947 season of Echoes of New York as a case study. As a radio-variety program sponsored by New York electric utility Consolidated Edison, Echoes is an example of institutional advertising, a form of advertising designed to shape public perception of the company, rather than to sell specific products. The company entrusted the important task to its long-time advertising agency, McCann-Erickson. Drawing on scripts, scores, memos, and financial documentation, this chapter considers broadcast entertainment’s creation and perpetuation of formulaic construction in program format as well as the gradual streamlining of McCann-Erickson’s musical activities in a typical work week. The chapter highlights the role of Con Edison’s all-male company chorus, the Edisoneers, as a physical and aural representation of the message Echoes sought to impart. In focusing on the work of producing music for institutional advertising, this chapter contributes to studies that have illuminated the foundational position of advertising agencies in driving the form and content of programming during the radio era.

This study aims to describe the role of parenting to students whose parents work as immigrants with substance in the form of student opinions, as well as to describe the learning motivation of students whose parents work as migrant workers with several approaches related to learning motivation. The study used a qualitative approach that took data based on the results of interviews and direct observations as a data collection instrument and then carried out descriptive analysis. The sample of this study was conducted on students at MI Al-Khoiriyah and SDN Langenharjo 2 schools whose parents worked as immigrants. The results showed that students realized that with the parenting pattern of parents who worked as immigrants this situation was only temporary, their parents worked for money to be able to meet their needs at home and students' educational needs. However, in general, students feel sad when their parents are away from them for a long time so that students experience a lack of direct parental love. Therefore, in general, students whose parents work as immigrants do not show good or high learning motivation. This can be seen from the incompleteness of eight indicators of student learning motivation at school. Suggestions for further research in the future are also discussed.

Following Miller, who looked at offline performance capital for musicians and discovered important gender and genre impacts, we examined the role of gender and genre in the development of performance capital for YouTube top cover song artists. This case study suggests that online performance capital on YouTube is slightly different than offline performance capital, and benefits from the affordances of networked media, and specifically YouTube. While there is some gender-based homophily in channel linking behaviors, there are also connections between weakly tied individuals with respect to video category, meaning that musicians are linking to others outside of the music community and vice versa. While music video channels tend to link to other music video channels, and non-music channels tend to link to other non-music channels, the most popular videos tend to post from multiple categories including both music and non-music. Findings suggest that being a long-time poster and having a rich and diverse network are likely elements of building performance capital for YouTube musicians.

The issue of gender inequality in Indonesia is the result of a patriarchal culture that has existed for a long time. The gender division of men and women in the field of social and economic development is clearly visible, as women do not fully gain access to some resource sectors, such as education and employment. Bali as one of the provinces in Indonesia that still adheres to patriarchal culture. But the culture is in fact contrary to the Hindu belief that they believe to be the majority religion, where women have a very respectable position because it is considered as the incarnation of one of the revered Goddesses. This then underlies the movement of one of the TSO (Third Sector Organization) in Bali, Bali Sruti, which then consistently campaigns for women empowerment. In this paper the authors found that the role of Bali Sruti in their efforts to empower women in Bali includes several things, such as the socialization of women's participation in politics, the socialization of pluralism, and interactive discussions through interactive radio in relation to gender equality issues aimed at increasing the participation of Balinese women in sustainable social and economic development.
