THE USE OF MAIN GEOGRAPHICAL CONCEPTS AND THEIR APPLICABILITY IN TOURISM TEACHINGABSTRACTGeography is the science that is most dedicated to understanding the relations between society and nature and tourism becomes one of the most important tools to understand this relationship. In this way, this article aims to show through tourism the main geographic concepts, as well as, to propose that tourism has a real importance within the school environment. Methodologically, this research was carried out through bibliographic queries such as Coriolano and Silva (2004), Bertrand (1981), Souza and Passos (2007), Santos (1988, 1986, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014), Torres and Kozel (2010), Gomes (1995), Carlos (1996, 2008) and others, in order to support the discussion. Thus, it was concluded that Tourism can be considered a great tool for the teaching of geographical concepts by the teacher, because everywhere in Brazil or the world it is possible to find a space, landscape, region, territory or a tourist place. Often the understanding of these concepts by the students becomes somewhat confused because of the similarities between the concepts, the use of tourism in teaching these concepts makes the students know to differentiate each one of them and understand its meaning and importance.KEYWORDSConcepts Geography, Region, Tourism, Teaching.ISSN: 2236-3904REVISTA BRASILEIRA DE EDUCAÇÃO EM GEOGRAFIA - RBEGwww.revistaedugeo.com.br - [email protected]

Cyberbullying amongst teenagers is a major issue, due to their increased use of social media. Previous literature surveys have not covered in detail cyberbullying studies in 2014 and cyberbullying risk factors. This literature review explores cyberbullying research areas, such as the use of social media by teenagers, themes from cyberbullying studies carried out since 2012, cyberbullying risk factors and how teenagers deal with cyberbullying incidents. Current cyberbullying studies highlighted issues such as the high volume of cyberbullying incidents in school, increased personal information disclosure on social media, peer influences and the safety of the school environment for both bully and victim. Studies focusing on cyberbullying risk factors raised debates on factors such as whether males or females are most likely to be victims/cyberbullies. Tackling cyberbullying requires awareness, education for actors involved in cyberbullying, development of software to detect cyberbullying and including actors in the monitoring of cyberbullying.

The study then aimed to show a possibility of dealing with the situation from the perspective of School Mathematics. In order to achieve this goal, the author talked to a farmer about one of the practices she employed to develop our activity, with the objective of assessing “is it worth breeding chicken for consumption?”. The Mathematical Modeling report, based on local knowledge, promotes visibility to the singularities of the rural area and shows that the school environment is not the only educational space available. In addition, analyzing practices of subjects from rural areas and understanding their way to mathematically deal with the world demonstrates the existence of various mathematical rationalities that are intrinsically linked to the culture of each people. Keywords: Mathematical Modeling in Rural Education; Local Knowledge; Subjects from Rural Areas; Mathematical Rationalities.
