Reading habit is a fundamental skill that is necessary for every student's life. However, Malaysia is far from a culture of reading. Therefore, to step forward to a world that enjoys reading, everyone needs to spread good reading habits as soon as possible. Thus, this conceptual paper provides a literature review that is relevant to students' reading habits by using multimodal text. Additionally, it explores reading habits, the importance of reading, multimodal text as instructional material, and the advantages of using multimodal text to improve students' reading habits. By identifying some advantages of using multimodal text in improving students' reading habits, such as making the learning environment more interesting and productive, encouraging more on reading habits and motivate students to read texts with passion. Thus, teachers should be encouraged to develop their own multimodal text to be used in the ESL classroom.

Readings plays an important role in the life of a human. It is also one of the most important components of the language. Reading habit is determined by measuring how often the people read, how long do they read and what do they read. Particularly for students, reading is very crucial part for them during the span of learning. It is an instrument used to acquire new knowledge and skills. This study aims to investigate the reading habits among students and their effect on their academic performance. This study is conducted at ATI, Sammanthurai located in the Eastern province, Sri Lanka. Data are collected using questionnaire with deductive approach in quantitative method and analyzed by statistical package for social science (SPSS). Findings are presented using frequency analysis, regression analysis, descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. The questionnaire is conducted via Google form then shared among the students of ATI, Sammanthurai. The findings indicate that most of the students has a good reading habit and it affects their academic performance positively. Finally, the study confirms that there is a relationship between reading habit and the academic performance of the students. Some findings are that; the majority of the respondents read class notes which means the need to read it for the examination purpose. Majority of the students get reading material via internet (81.4%) as they state that they spend most of their time in surfing internet and using social media.

A good reading habit is necessary for a healthy intellectual growth and plays a very crucial role in enabling a person to achieve practical efficiency. Reading Habits means behavior which express the lightness of reading of individual, which occur regularly of leisure reading approach, type of reading tastes of reading & use of library services. Reading habit is an active skill – based process of constructing meaning and gaining knowledge from oral, visual and written text. The present study was conducted on 600 student teachers from Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts of Telangana State. The result reveals that there was a significant difference in reading habits in relation to their age, gender and management among student teachers.

Reading habit influences students’ achievement of reading comprehension. It is assumed that if people have good reading habit, they will have good comprehension toward reading texts. The study was highlighted to examine the association between English education department students’ reading habits and their critical reading skills. This study was conducted using a correlational research design. The population of this study consisted of 112 undegraduate students of English Education department of Tridinanti University in the academic year 2017/2018. There were 37 students participating as the sample of the study chosen by using purposive sampling. In collecting the data, a questionnaire of reading habit and a critical reading test were distributed. A correlational analysis using Pearson Product Moment was applied to seek the association between the variables measured. Based on the data analysis result, it was found that students’ reading habit was not significantly correlated with students’ critical reading skills.

Despite the growing utility and prevalence of social entrepreneurship, an accepted definition remains elusive and infeasible. Yet, it is imperative that the principles guiding social entrepreneurship are identified so that common ground is established to facilitate future research. On the basis of a systematic literature review, this conceptual paper proposes a theoretical framework outlining social entrepreneurship as a three-dimensional framework as a function of continua of “social” and “business” logics, “beneficial” and “detrimental” social change logics, and “innovation” and “mundane” logics. The framework accommodates the fuzziness and ambiguity associated with social entrepreneurship whilst remaining a workable, identifiable construct. By accounting for the shifting logics practiced by social entrepreneurship that both influence and are influenced by the organizational environment, this framework provides an exit strategy for the definitional elusiveness of social entrepreneurship. The resultant structures and functions of social entrepreneurship are shaped by these constraints as reflected by the fluidity and flexibility endorsed by the framework. Four avenues for future research regarding social entrepreneurship are recommended on the basis of the framework proposed in this article.

Background: Burnout among postgraduate medical trainees is common. It is a syndrome characterised by emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation and reduced personal accomplishment. Burnout is seen as an organisational problem rather than the result of an individual’s ability to cope with the stress at work. The educational environment can play a pivotal role in the prevention of burnout among postgraduate medical trainees. This narrative literature review is aimed at assessing the effect of the educational environment on burnout in postgraduate doctors-in-training. Methods: A search of the databases Medline and PscyInfo for articles published between 2015 and 2020 was performed with the key words ‘burnout’ and ‘educational environment’ or ‘clinical learning environment’ or ‘postgraduate medical education’ or ‘learning environment’. Results: A total of 27 studies were identified and reviewed by the author. The prevalence of burnout reported varied widely between studies, ranging from 10% to 62%. Many of the factors that contribute to burnout form part of the educational environment, for example, hours worked, mistreatment, harassment and perceptions of injustice. Residency itself is a stressful period wherein trainees have to balance their responsibilities towards their patients with their responsibilities at home, all while furthering their studies and taking on new responsibilities. Interventions to prevent burnout and tackle existing burnout are multiple but very little solid evidence exists to attest to their efficacy. More research is needed to identify the most effective ways to deal with burnout in postgraduate medical trainees.

The purpose of this study is to explain how was the Implementation of Online Passport Queue Registration Application (APAPO) based on TAM and social affordances. This study is a conceptual paper using qualitative approach with literature review. APAPO is used as a unit of analysis with Directorate General of Immigration’s public complaint data as a purposive sample. From the result, it was recognized that APAPO was not well-received by users and had low social affordances.

The objective of this article is to undertake a literature review to familiarize ourselves with the knowledge base; to summarize information about some psycho-hygienic aspects of teaching and visually impaired adolescents, including features of communication, learning environment, psycho-emotional stress in specialized educational institutions, as well as individual psychological characteristics of personality, emotional and volitional state of visually impaired and general patterns of physiological and psychological characteristics and health of adolescents with vision pathology. To examine the system of security measures in order to optimize the learning environment for the promotion of mental health of the studied contingent and the nature and impact of the learning environment on functional status and health of adolescents with vision pathology. To investigate the impact of current patterns of complex sanitary and regime-organizational factors of training on functional status and health of adolescents with vision pathology. A thorough literature review helps to lay the foundation for a study, and can inspires new research ideas.

В данной статье автор обращается к роли данного феномена в изменении подходов к женскому образованию во второй половине XVIII века. В этот период английские интеллектуалы и интеллектуалки выпускали для воспитания «идеальных» леди многочисленные педагогические трактаты и сочинения, в которых обсуждались проблемы женского образования и рекомендовались «идеальные» списки для чтения. Особый взгляд на роль женского чтения отстаивали М. Уолстонкрафт, Э. Шапон, К. Маколей, С. Пеннингтон, Х. Мор, Э. Дарвин и др. Относительно полезности в образовательном процессе той или иной литературы часто по-разному высказывались и сами интеллектуалки. Не все были готовы предложить юным леди книги философского содержания, камнем преткновения стал также вопрос о пользе и вреде чтения романов. Важное значение в данном контексте обретает формирование правильных читательских привычек. The Age of Enlightenment is associated with the formation of a new concept of reading, which is widely known as the Reading revolution. The author of the article focuses on the role the Reading revolution played in changing attitudes to female education in the second half of the 18th century. In the late 18thcentury, British intellectuals, both male and female, issued various pedagogical essays and treatises for the benefit of ideal ladies. In these essays and treatises, British intellectuals of the time discussed urgent problems of female education and compiled book lists of recommended reading. M. Wollstonecraft, H. Сhapone, K. McAuley, S. Pennington, H. Mor, E. Darwin, etc. expressed their own unique views on female reading. Female intellectuals also expressed their views on the educational potential of female reading. Some intellectuals suggested that young ladies should read philosophical works, others argued whether or not young ladies should be allowed to read novels. The formation of good reading habits was generally understood to be important.

Group development is the first and most important step for the success of collaborative problem solving (CPS) learning in the digital learning environment (DLE). A literacy study is needed for studies in the intelligent agent domain for group development of collaborative learning in DLE. This paper is a systematic literature review (SLR) of intelligent agents for group formation from 2001 to 2019. This paper aims to find answers to 4 (four) research questions, namely: 1) What components to develop intelligent agents for group development; 2) What is the intelligent agent model for group development; 3) How are the metrics for measuring intelligent agent performance; and 4) How is the Framework for developing intelligent agent. The components of the intelligent agent model consist of: member attributes, group attributes (group constraints), and intelligent techniques. This research refers to Srba and Bielikova's group development model. The stages of the model are formation, performing and closing. An intelligent agent model at the formation stage. A performance metric for the intelligent agent at the performance stage. The framework for developing an intelligent agent is a reference to the stages of development, component selection techniques, and performance measurement of an intelligent agent.

The importance of getting children off to a good start in reading cannot be overstated. Successful academic performance at primary and secondary school level is partly dependent on the ability to read. It is believed that good learners are those who are proficient in reading. However, many learners are struggling to read and, therefore, struggle to academically succeed in other subjects. The problem of not being able to read transcends negatively on learners’ academic achievements. This study proposes a strategy towards motivating learners in developing better reading habits through the distribution of reading bags. The mixed-method approach was adopted in conducting this study. Learners’ reading strategies were first identified by administering a survey on reading strategies. About 14 student-educators volunteered in distributing the questionnaires at their respective schools during their teaching practice sessions. The questionnaires were distributed to 155 learners who voluntarily participated in the study. Data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software for descriptive statistics. The results indicated that most of the learners use global reading strategies, with the least utilising the problem-solving strategies and the support reading strategies. The researchers recommend the usage of reading bags as a strategy to motivate learners to develop good reading habits, which will then lead to the usage of all three strategies, in particular, the problem reading strategies.
