Energy plays an underlying role in the life of industrial economics of societies. This means that whenever energy is available sufficiently and timely, economic development will also be possible. Moreover, foreign and international policies can be shaped by various factors and have different orientations in relation to these factors. One of the requirements for growth and development in the country is the adoption of appropriate policy and diplomacy to ensure energy security. To the awareness of each other energy security policy, countries can follow cooperative relations and participation by adopting appropriate policy and sophisticated diplomacy, which will result in more profits. The important point is that the regional developments have a significant impact on energy and its security, including sanctions. The current study, using descriptive-analytical method, attempts to investigate the impact of policy improvement in the energy field on the security of Iraq.

Summary: The paper the industrialization and the growth of gross domestic product is a research and empirical verification of Nicholas Kaldor laws on the impact of industrial production to GDP growth. Kaldor has formulated the principles of economic growth in the form of three laws that tend to identify key causes of economic growth. His first law asserts that the rate of economic growth is positively correlated with the rate of growth of its manufacturing sector. Industry as the most important force of economic development is widely analyzed in the literature on economic development (Hirschman (1961), Rosenstein-Rodan (1943), Thirwall (2013), Cornwall (1977)). The aim is to empirically test the Kaldor’s approach to growth and development in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is therefore designed a special data set consisting of two-dimensional tables and time series. Using regression analysis was quantified the relationship between the growth rate of gross domestic product and the growth of industrial production.

Nigeria is richly endowed with vast but largely untapped natural resources including solid minerals and arable land. Mining industries have been viewed as key drivers of economic growth and development process, as lead sectors that drive economic expansion which can lead to higher levels of social and economic well being. Contributions from mining as a percentage of GDP in rich countries are usually between 2-8 percent. In Nigeria, the contribution is still low at 0.15 percent, one of the major factors responsible for this is as a result of over dependence of the Nigerian economy on the proceeds from the sale of crude oil for over four decades which is at the expense of other sectors such as mining and agriculture that contributed significantly to the Nigerian economy before the emergence of crude oil. In the light of this, the study presents an empirical analysis of the contribution of mining sector to the economic development in Nigeria from 1960 to 2012. The study employed Error Correction Model (ECM) to examine the short run and long run effect of mining sector‟s contribution to Nigeria economic development. The study harnessed time series data to evaluate the impact of the specified key sectors; crude petroleum and gas, solid mineral, manufacturing and agriculture on the economic development proxied by per capita income. Equally highlighted are the problems militating against the mining sector in Nigeria and the strategies for its transformation of the economy. The finding revealed that the value of solid mineral have strong impact on economic development in Nigeria. Thus, Nigeria needs to urgently develop her monumental mining potentials in order to diversify her economy and to achieve rapid economic growth and development.

Currently, due to the recent unprecedented urbanization and industrialization, energy consumption in China is increasing at an enormous speed. However, this process should go hand in hand with sustainable energy development that is based on three interconnected dimensions: (i) energy security, (ii) energy affordability, and (iii) environmental sustainability. It becomes very obvious that an increase in energy efficiency leads to the increase in both energy security and environmental sustainability. Therefore, inadequate energy efficiency causes energy security and environmental sustainability issues, and thus negatively influences economic development of China (or any other country for that matter). This paper explores the intrinsic relationship among urbanization, industrialization, and energy security, as well as the influencing mechanisms of urbanization and industrialization on energy efficiency using a fixed effect model. The paper employs panel data from 30 provinces in mainland China collected in the time range from 2006 to 2015. Our results demonstrate that urbanization and industrialization can significantly improve energy efficiency. Although energy security level decreases considerably with the rise of energy consumption and population growth, the increase in urbanization and industrialization levels can increase energy security through energy efficiency improvements. Moreover, it appears that changes in disposable income and population structure do not alter the effects of industrialization and urbanization on energy security. We conclude that Chinese provinces with high and low urbanization levels should focus on technological innovation and increase industrial development and technological input, respectively. Local governments in China can formulate policies and regulations and promote urbanization according to local economic development and industrial and population structure. The paper also presents theoretical references and decision support that might help in developing local laws and regulations promoting energy efficiency during urbanization and industrialization.

Abstract Modeling complex concepts, especially in the field of management science, will help researchers to get a better understanding of the relationship between insensible and multidimensional phenomena. The relationship between entrepreneurship and economic development has been repeatedly discussed by researchers. With reference to various research, the impact of innovative entrepreneurial activities on the growth and development of economies is clear to all. This study attempts to provide a mathematical model in support of the accuracy of this relationship. Stochastic processes and probabilistic models have widely been used to perform this modeling. The underlying result of this model is a function by which the exact parameter of entrepreneurial performance can be calculated and also, by applying this model, the relationship between the innovation index and entrepreneurship is justifiable. Also, based on this modeling, the level of entrepreneurship of countries can be ranked based on innovation.
