The use of organic minerals in the form of nanocompounds as a substitute for mineral inorganic salts is promising, but insufficiently studied. Therefore, the purpose of the search was to determine the influence of drinking sulfur citrate and sodium sulfate 14 days before insemination and up to 20th day of lactation on the reproductive capacity of rabbits and the preservation of the offspring up to 40th day of life. The research was carried out on rabbits of the second breed of Hyla breed in “Horlytsia”. Сontrol group were fed without restriction complete ration granular feed with free access to water. 1st experimental group were fed with the ration of the control group and during the day were watered with sulfur citrate, at the rate of 8 μg S/kg of body weight. II experimental group were fed with the ration of the control group and with water was given sodium sulfate in the amount of 40 mg S/kg of body weight. Additives to rabbits were watered 14 days before insemination and for up to 20 days of lactation. It was found that on the first day of life of young rabbits their number in the I and II experimental groups was respectively higher by 8.5 and 4.2% compared to the control. The number of young rabbits at 20 and 40 days of age in the I and II experimental groups was respectively higher by 10.4 and 4.4% and 14.0 and 4.6% compared to the control group. The weight of rabbits in the nest of the II experimental group at 1, 20 and 40 days of life was respectively higher by 2.8; 6.1 and 7.0%, which is based on the average mass of one rabbit for these periods and amounted to 1.1, respectively; 2.7 and 4.3% compared with animals in the control group. The average amount of milk produced by rabbits of I and II experimental groups was respectively higher by 10.2% and 6.6% per day and for 20 days of the lactation period compared to the control. The preservation of rabbits in the I and II experimental groups was respectively higher by 6.4 and 6.4% and 3.6 and 4.4% at 20 and 40 days of life of young rabbits compared to the control group. The results of the research indicate the possibility of additional use in the ration of rabbits of the addition of sulfur citrate in the amount of 8 μg S/kg of body weight to increase metabolism and reproductive capacity during periods of increased physiological load

The article presents results on the influence of different amounts of sulfur citrate, manufactured using nanotechnology and sodium sulfate in rabbit diet from 60 to 118 days of age on the hematological parameters of their organism. Studies have been conducted on 30 rabbits of the Hyla hybrid divided into six groups (control and five experimental), 6 animals in each. Animals were kept in regulated microclimate and illumination in mesh cages of 50×120×30 cm. Controlled rabbits fed without restriction a balanced granulated feed with free access to water. The young of the first (E-II), the second (E-II), the third (E-III) and the fourth (E-IV) experimental groups feed the diet of the control group and, during the day, dispensed sulfur citrate from the calculation of 2; 4; 8 and 12 mg S/kg body weight. Rabbits (E-V) of the experimental group fed the diet of the control group and set water with sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) in the amount of 40 mg S/kg body weight. In the preparatory period – 60 days and in the experimental period – at 91 and 118 days of life (31 and 58 days of delivery of supplements), blood samples were collected from the regional anterior vein of rabbits for hematological studies performed using an automatic hematologic analyzer (Orphee Mythic-18, Switzerland). Researches have shown that the administration of citrate sulfur in the amount of 8 mg S/kg of body weight was marked by a greater number of red blood cells and leukocytes, respectively, by 13.4 and 23.3% (P < 0.05) and with a higher level of HCT at 16.2% (P < 0.05), MCH, RDV and MCHC, respectively, 11.1; 14.5 and 2.6% (P < 0.05) on day 58 of the experiment compared with the control group. In the blood of animals in the 2nd experimental group, a higher concentration of hemoglobin (Р < 0.05) was observed at 31 days and a higher HCT (Р < 0.05) level was 58 days compared to control. Thus, the results of the study of the hematological parameters of the body of rabbits indicate their positive changes in the actions of the physiologically substantiated amount of organic sulfur, which contributed to the activation of metabolic processes.

The open days period is one of the components of the physiological cycle of the cow, during which it must be prepared for effective insemination. The duration of this period as a production indicator gives a general idea of the reproductive traits of the herd as a whole, and of each animal in particular. In order to increase milk production, it is possible to extend the open days period to obtain a longer lactation. Studies of this issue show that at the same time the dry period also extends and the average daily milk yield as the whole for lactation decreases. The purpose of the research was to determine the level of milk productivity and reproductive ability of cows depending on the duration of the open days period. The research has been carried out under the conditions in the APC “Emurtlinsky” in the Tyumen region, which is a breeding farm for the breeding of cattle of Holstein breed. It has been found that with an increase in the duration of the open days period from 93 days in the control group to 146 days in the experimental group the duration of barrenness was 3 and 56 days, respectively. It has been found that on the 1st day of milk yield per cow, the milk loss was 4,9 kg, and the absolute annual milk loss in the cows of the experimental group was in the range of 275 kg. The conducted studies suggest that with the increase in the duration of calving interval, there is the decrease in the milk yield of cows per year. The use of cows with the increase in the open days period above the norm recommended by specialists is unjustified. The increase in milk yield due to the lengthening of the lactation period is not effective, because it eventually leads to the increase in the number of days of barrenness and milk loss.

The aim of the study was to find out the effect of casting of citrate nanosіlicon absorption and metasilicate sodium on the hematological parameters and lipid content and their fractional composition in blood plasma preparatory period 10 days prior to insemination and 20 days of lactation. The research was carried out on 60 rabbits of the Hyla hybrid, divided into three groups (control and two experimental), with 20 animals in each. The control animals were fed without limitation full-grain granulated feed with free access to water. Animals of the first experimental group (E-I) fed the diet of the control group and during the course of the day poured out the silicon citrate obtained using the nanotechnology method, 50 mkg Si/kg body weight with water. Samples of the second experimental group (E-II) feed the diet of the control group and set the sodium metasilicate (Na2SiO3H2O) 2.5 mg Si/kg body weight with water. The trial lasted 95 days, including the preparatory period of 10 days, the trial – 85 days. In the preparatory period of 10 days from the beginning of the study and in a trial of 20 days of lactation (65 days of supplements) in the rabbits, samples of blood from the marginal ear vein were taken. Hematologic studies were performed using the automatic hematologic analyzer “Orphee Mythic 18”, in the blood plasma, the content of total lipids and their fractional composition were determined. It was established that the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin concentration in the blood of the rabbits of experimental group, which were given silicon citrate, were respectively higher by 15.2% (P < 0.05) and 12.0% (P < 0.01) by 20 days lactation versus control. This may indicate a more pronounced effect of the organic compound of silicon on the hematopoietic function of the body of the rabbits. According to white blood, the differences from control were found during the presentation of supplements with higher (P < 0.05) changes in 20 days of lactation in animal blood and experimental group. It was noted that the content of triacylglycerols in plasma of blood of groups I and II was lower by 31.2 and 32.8%, respectively (P < 0.05) compared to control. In blood plasma of animals in experimental groups an increase in the fractions of phosphatidylcholine, sphingomyelin and lysolecetin was observed compared to control. Such a redistribution was due to the reduction of the fractions of phosphatidic acid, phosphatidyl ethanolamine and phosphatidylinositol, and apparently, is associated with changes in the activity of the enzymes concerned. Hematological studies and determination of the fractional composition of lipids and phospholipids of blood plasma of the rabbits show positive changes that contribute to the metabolic accumulation of energy and plastic components of their organism.

Zinc is necessary for maintaining the immune status, and its deficiency in the organisms of animals is usually accompanied by the condition of immune deficiency. The objective of the study was determining the effect of different amounts of zinc on the immune-biological reactivity and productivity of the organism of rabbits after their weaning on the 50th and 86th days of life. For the study, rabbits with the weight of 1.2–1.4 kg were selected and divided into four groups (control and three experimental). The rabbits of the control group were fed with unlimited balanced granulated compound feed, and had free access to water. The animals of the I, II and III experimental groups were watered with zinc nanoaquacitrate in the amounts of 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 mg of Zn/kg of body weight. Compared with the control group, watering of the animals of the experimental groups with zinc nanoaquacitrate to a greater extent affected the content of phagocytic activity, lysozymic and bactericidal activities of the blood serum as integral factors of non-specific cellular and humoral resistance of the organism, which manifested in the increase in their content in blood on the 12th, 24th and 36th days of the experiment. Use of organic supplement in the diet of rabbits had a stimulating effect on the functioning of the immune system of their organism, which was seen in the higher content of total immunoglobulins, sialic acids and ceruloplasmin in the blood of animals watered with zinc nanoaquacitrate in the quantities of 0.50 and 0.75 mg of Zn/kg of body weight on the 24th and 36th days of the experiment. Use of organic compound of zinc in the diet caused high parameters of growth of the organism of rabbits during the period of 36 days, which manifested in the highest parameters of average-day increments and body weight on the 86th day of the life of the rabbits from the III experimental group, which received zinc nanoaquacitrate in the amounts of 0.75 mg of Zn/kg of body weight compared with the control group. Watering rabbits with zinc nanoaquacitrate during the study was accompanied by probable changes in the number of erythrocytes, concentration of hemoglobin and erythrocyte indices, which could indicate a positive effect of the employed additives on the hematopoietic function of the rabbits’ organism. The data of the performed experiment suggest that watering with larger amounts of organic compound of zinc has a positive effect on the processes of formation of immuno-physiological reactivity of the rabbits’ organism and increase in their productivity. The practical purpose is the study of the impact of watering with zinc nanoaquacitrate on the immuno-biological reactivity of the organism of rabbit dams during the period of lactation.

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of nanotechnology and sodium sulfate on the content of mineral elements in the tissues of 110-day-old rabbits by feeding different amounts of nano sulfur citrate. Studies were conducted on young rabbits of the Hyla breed in the private sector. Rabbits for the study were selected at the age of 41 days on the principle of analogues, weighing 1.2–1.4 kg, were divided into six groups (control and five experimental), 6 animals (3 males and 3 females) in each. Animals were kept in rooms with adjustable microclimate and illumination in mesh cages measuring 50×120×30 cm, in accordance with modern animal health standards. The rabbits of the control group were fed without restriction a balanced granular compound feed, with free access to water. Animals of the first (I), second (II), third (III), and fourth (IV) experimental groups were fed a control group diet and fed with nano sulfur citrate for 2; 4; 8 and 12 mg S/kg body weight. A solution of nano sulfur citrate (1.0 g/dm3, pH 1.38) was obtained from the Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies LLC, Kyiv. The young of the fifth (V) experimental group was fed with a  diet of the control group and water was given sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) in the amount of 40 mg S/kg body weight. At the 58th day from the beginning of the experiment, the animals were slaughtered, taking into account the generally accepted bioethical norms of international regulations regarding the experimental work with vertebrate animals. Blood, tissues: liver, skin and wool were selected for the study. For determination of macro and microelements, the samples were pre-mineralized by dry aching method. After ashes, acid extraction was performed. In the prepared samples, the elements were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry using AAS-115 C. The digital data were statistically processed using the Student's t test. Studies have found that the feeding of rabbit sulfur citrate in the smallest amount tested 2 mg/kg caused a significant increase in liver – Fe (P < 0.05) and skin – Zn (P < 0.05), whereas a larger dose of 4 mg/kg was affected by changes in blood Cr and Fe (P < 0.01), liver – Zn and Fe (P < 0.05), skin – Zn (P < 0.01), wool – Zn and Fe (P < 0.05) compared to the control group. It was noted that the use in the diet of rabbits supplements of sulfur citrate at the rate of 8 mg/kg was marked by the greatest changes in the investigated tissues of the rabbit body, in particular the higher blood levels of Cr (P<0,001), Fe (P<0,05) and Cu (P < 0.01), liver – Zn, Fe and Cu (P < 0.05), skin – Zn (P < 0.001), higher amounts of 12 mg/kg caused changes in liver content – Zn (P < 0.01) and Fe (P < 0.05), skin – Zn (P < 0.05) compared to the control, indicating the stimulating effect of the organic sulfur compound on the activation of the processes of assimilation of these elements in their body. The use of sodium sulfate in the amount of 40 mg S/kg body weight was less likely to affect the content of the studied mineral elements compared with the control group with a more pronounced effect: Zn in the liver and skin, Cr in wool. Therefore, feeding in the diet of rabbits II and III experimental groups of nano sulfur citrate in the amount of 4 and 8 S/kg body weight was more pronounced synergistic effect on the trace elements in the tissues of their body than the use of inorganic compounds and the control group.

The article is devoted to the solution of an urgent problem- influence of different lighting modes on the dairy productivity of cows. 2 groups of cows with 20 heads each were formed. In control group, light in the cowshed was 50-75 Lux for a light period of 7.5 h in January to 16.5 h in June, and in experimental group - 150-200 Lux and 16 h, respectively. It was found that the intensity and duration of illumination affects physiological state, reproductive ability and milk productivity of cows. In the experimental group of cows, compared with the control group, hemoglobin content in blood increased by 4.6% (P < 0.01), red blood cells - by 20.6% (P < 0.05), total protein - by 11.2% (P < 0.001), glucose - by 39.1% (P < 0.05). There was a tendency to increase the total calcium and inorganic phosphorus in blood serum of cows of the experimental group. The level of alkaline phosphatase in blood serum of cows in the control group was 71.5% (P < 0.01) higher than that of cows in the experimental group. Milk yield per 1 cow in the experimental cowshed was 433 kg more than in the control. The cost of 1 kg of milk in the experimental group was 0.94 rubles lower, and the profitability of milk production and sales is 9.42% higher than in the control group. To increase the milk productivity of cows, it is recommended to increase light level in barns for tethered keeping to 150-200 Lux, with the duration of lighting in the winter and transition periods of year up to 16 hours per day.

<b><i>Background:</i></b> Debate continues over whether or not individuals with low total water intake (TWI) are in a chronic fluid deficit (i.e., low total body water) [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref1">1</xref>]. When women with habitually low TWI (1.6 ± 0.5 L/day) increased their fluid intake (3.5 ± 0.1 L/day) for 4 days 24-h urine osmolality decreased, but there was no change in body weight, a proxy for total body water (TBW) [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref2">2</xref>]. In a small (<i>n</i> = 5) study of adult men, there were no observable changes in TBW, as measured by bioelectrical impedance, after increasing TWI for 4 weeks [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref3">3</xref>]. However, body weight increased and salivary osmolality decreased indicating that the study may have been underpowered to detect changes in TBW. Further, no studies to date have measured changes in blood volume (BV) when TWI is increased. <b><i>Objectives:</i></b> Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify individuals with habitually low fluid intake and determine if increasing TWI, for 14 days, resulted in changes in TBW or BV. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> In order to identify individuals with low TWI, 889 healthy adults were screened. Participants with a self-reported TWI less than 1.8 L/day (men) or 1.2 L/day (women), and a 24-h urine osmolality greater than 800 mOsm were included in the intervention phase of the study. For the intervention phase, 15 participants were assigned to the experimental group and 8 participants were assigned to the control group. The intervention period lasted for 14 days and consisted of 2 visits to our laboratory: one before the intervention (baseline) and 14 days into the intervention (14-day follow-up). At these visits, BV was measured using a CO-rebreathe procedure and deuterium oxide (D2O) was administered to measure TBW. Urine samples were collected immediately prior, and 3–8 h after the D2O dose to allow for equilibration. Prior to each visit, participants collected 24-h urine to measure 24-h hydration status. After the baseline visit, the experimental group increased their TWI to 3.7 L for males and 2.7 L for females in order to meet the current Institute of Medicine recommendations for TWI. <b><i>Results:</i></b> Twenty-four-hour urine osmolality decreased (−438.7 ± 362.1 mOsm; <i>p</i> &#x3c; 0.001) and urine volume increased (1,526 ± 869 mL; <i>p</i> &#x3c; 0.001) in the experimental group from baseline, while there were no differences in osmolality (−74.7 ± 572 mOsm; <i>p</i> = 0.45), or urine volume (−32 ± 1,376 mL; <i>p</i> = 0.89) in the control group. However, there were no changes in BV (Fig. <xref ref-type="fig" rid="f01">1</xref>a) or changes in TBW (Fig. <xref ref-type="fig" rid="f01">1</xref>b) in either group. <b><i>Conclusions:</i></b> Increasing fluid intake in individuals with habitually low TWI increases 24-h urine volume and decreases urine osmolality but does not result in changes in TBW or BV. These findings are in agreement with previous work indicating that TWI interventions lasting 3 days [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref2">2</xref>] to 4 weeks [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref3">3</xref>] do not result in changes in TBW. Current evidence would suggest that the benefits of increasing TWI are not related changes in TBW.

Purpose: to study the effect of ethanol on the parameters of THC, the percentage of granulocytes and total protein in the hemolymph of the Red claw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus).Materials and methods. The object of this experiment was 26 males of the Australian red-clawed crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) weighing from 23 to 83 g. The individuals were evenly divided into two experimental groups - with an injection of ethanol and a control group without an injection of 13 crayfish for each group. The injection dose was 2515 mg per 100 g of body weight. A day after the introduction of ethanol, hemolymph was taken with a syringe from the ventral sinus, the syringe was pre-washed with a 4% EDTA-Na2 solution. Three parameters were determined: the total hemocyte count (THC), percent granulocytes and percent total protein content. Counting of hemocytes and determination of granulocytes were performed in a Goryaev chamber under a light microscope. The total protein was determined by the refractometric method.Results. Differences in THC and total protein between the groups were statistically unreliable (p>0,05). THC in the experimental group is 36% more than in the control group. The total protein after the introduction of ethanol actually increased by 0,7%, and relatively by 14%. There were statistically different indicators of the proportion of granulocytes (p<0,05) - the average value of 33,1% in the experimental group versus 24,5% in the control group. A reliable (p<0,05) strong feedback was revealed between the total protein and the mass of individuals in both experimental groups, while in the experimental group there is a visible shift in the values of dependent hemolymph indicators towards an increase in smaller individuals.Conclusion. A single injection of ethyl alcohol with a dosage of 2515 mg per 100 g of body weight into the hemolymph of C. quadricarinatus does not cause significant changes in the THC and total protein after 24 hours. At the same time, the proportion of granulocytes actually increases by 9%, relative to 37%. This may indicate that granulocytes are involved in the formation of cancer defense mechanisms when exposed to toxic substances. The effect of different dosages of ethanol injections and the duration of its effect on hematological parameters requires additional consideration. It is necessary to investigate its effect on other indicators, such as the pH and buffer capacity of the hemolymph, the concentration of hemocyanin, glucose, lactates and calcium.

PURPOSE: To evaluate whether the prolonged consumption of flaxseed minimize the factors that trigger MS in healthy rats. METHODS: Pregnant rats were divided immediately after delivery into two groups during the lactation period, a control group (CG) receiving casein-based diet with 17% of protein, and a Flaxseed group (FG) with casein-based diet plus 25% of flaxseed. At weaning, 12 offspring of each group continued to receive the same feed but with 10% of protein up to 200 days old. RESULTS: FG showed a significant reduction in body weight (p=0.001), total cholesterol levels (p<0.0001), triglycerides (p=0.0001), and glucose (p=0.001). CONCLUSION: The flaxseed alters the indicators related to development of metabolic syndrome, because it has beneficial effects on lipids and glucose profiles and prevents the excess of body weight gain.

Context: Neuromuscular training enhances unconscious motor responses by stimulating both the afferent signals and central mechanisms responsible for dynamic joint control. Dynamic joint-control training is a vital component of injury-prevention programs. Objective: To investigate the effects of body-weight neuromuscular training on Y-Balance Test (YBT) performance and postural control in female basketball players. Design: Randomized controlled clinical trial. Setting: Basketball practice sessions. Patients or Other Participants: A total of 28 healthy elite female basketball players were randomly assigned to an experimental (n = 14) or a control group (n = 14). Intervention(s): Before their regular practice sessions, the experimental group warmed up with body-weight neuromuscular exercises and the control group with standard tactical-technical exercises twice weekly for 8 weeks. Main Outcome Measure(s): Anterior-, posteromedial-, and posterolateral-reach and composite YBT scores were measured before and after 8 weeks of training. Results: Improvement over baseline scores was noted in the posteromedial (right = 86.5 ± 4.5 cm versus 89.6 ± 2.2 cm, +3.5%, P = .049; left = 85.5 ± 4.3 cm versus 90.2 ± 2.7 cm, +5.5%, P = .038)- and posterolateral (right = 90.7 ± 3.6 cm versus 94.0 ± 2.7 cm, +3.6%, P = .016; left = 90.9 ± 3.5 cm versus 94.2 ± 2.6 cm, +3.6%, P = .011)-reach directions and in the composite YBT scores (right = 88.6% ± 3.2% versus 94.0% ± 1.8%, +5.4%, P = .0004; left = 89.2% ± 3.2% versus 94.5% ± 3.0%, +5.8%, P = .001) of the experimental group. No differences in anterior reach were detected in either group. Differences were noted in postintervention scores for posteromedial reach (right = 89.6 ± 2.2 cm versus 84.3 ± 4.4 cm, +4.1%, P = .005; left = 94.2 ± 2.6 cm versus 84.8 ± 4.4 cm, +10%, P = .003) and composite scores (right = 94.0% ± 1.8% versus 87.3% ± 2.0%, +7.1%, P = .003; left = 94.8% ± 3.0% versus 87.9% ± 3.4%, +7.3%, P &lt; .0001) between the experimental and control groups. Conclusions: Body-weight neuromuscular training improved postural control and lower limb stability in female basketball players as assessed with the YBT. Incorporating neuromuscular training into the workout routines for basketball players may enhance joint awareness and reduce the risk of lower extremity injury.
